Hello, I am wondering if its possible to implement Imageprocessing tools in FME? For instance: Lets say you have a LIDAR file and want to make presentable contours. You then take ur filltered LIDAR file, do some processing to it first, then you make contours, write the contourvector to a raster, and on the raster I would like to have to oportunity to do Image processing, with a convolution/kernel filter.  Can this be implemented i FME?   

Does anyone know if a "how to" article exists to instruct users how to setup and apply an FME Desktop FME ArcGIS Data Interop Edition licence? A description of how to add the licence to FME and then how to enable the licence over in ArcGIS as well as the requirements to ensure the ESRI Data Interoperability extension is licenced? It feels like something that 'should' exist but I can't find it. I've had a client ask for a reference document and I wanted to forward a link... It appears this might be an oversight from the docs and the KC. Hello, With help of you, I managed the read the osm transportation data that I have attached. However, I am puzzled with tag information. If I open the data in QGIS, I see other_tags attribute in linestring data. However, I can not see the attribute when I read in FME. I used AttributeExposer but I still am not able see this tag. I am particularly interested in this tag as it has additional information such as number of lanes,oneway and width etc. Thanks in advance.   

Hi,I want to split lines with points but I really need to keep all the overlaping segments. I tried with the PointOnLineOverlayer but, like the Intersector, in this transformer, all overlapping segments are reduced to one segment before being output.In the image below, you can imagine a road with a dead end. The result must contain 5 lines and not 4. Moreover, the Intersector isn't good for me because I don't want to split lines on all intersections (only on points).Sample of my data here : Thank you very much Julien

Hi , I am wondering if there is a way to change the field type change the field type from string to integer for all field in writers in one go.Like the screenshot below I manually changed the field type but sometimes I have a huge number of fields and need to have them in Int instead of string, Is this possible?Cheers,Rawan

I have some line-strings and I would like to create polygons with shape like in the images based on the line. It looks like hexagon but all edges do not have the same length. Can Bufferer create such polygon based on the lines? Or do you have any idea how i can create such polygon? Thanks in advance.

Just recording this for anybody that needs it. FME Datainspector shows a CW/CCW (clockwise/counter-clockwise) direction for an arc under the geometry, but this value can't be extracted as a trait using a geometrypropertyextractor and the arcpropertyextractor doesn't list any attribute that return clockwise/counterclockwise.

Hello everybody, im looking for a transformer that replace the "eleminate of Arcgis", i want to merge the small polygone (less than 5000m2) with neighboring polygons that have the largest area or the longest shared border.i heard that sliver remover can do it but im not sureThanks

To simplify this issue, my short term goal is to build a simple module which checks each attribute from a transformer or reader and returns the percentage of nulls for each attribute (vs the total number of records).  for instance something like:  Input: Attribute1Attribute2Attribute3Attribute4...... Output: Attribute1Attribute1-null-countAttribute2Attribute2-null-countAttribute3Attribute3-null-count......or something like that...  Again, to clarify, we DO NOT KNOW the Attribute names nor how many attributes there will be. Ideally, I would build a Custom Transformer, which accepts an unknown number of attributes and performs this calculation / process. However, Custom Transformers require that the inputs attributes are static.  From all the research Ive done I cannot figure out any way to make this happen.  I thought about a transformer that takes all attributes and combines them into one then they could be broken apart after but nothing seems to exist. I am open to any suggestions eve

Hello, I have a problem to find overlapping lines with FME, in a DWG file : If there are common vertices between lines, SpatialRelator (or SpatialFilter) works.Wheareas, if there is no common vertex, overlaps are not found. I tried LineOnLineOverlayer, Intersector and TopologyBuilder, but They have not fixed the problem.I read these articles, but I didn't find a solution :https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/1633/intersector-overlap-issue.htmlhttps://knowledge.safe.com/questions/58290/find-overlapping-lines-in-network.html Is there another solution to do this ? Thank you.

I am trying to leverage the 'Adjacent Feature Attributes' function in AttributeManager to generate a list of unique IDs (UID) for a set of records. In this example I have generated a UID for a single record based on if the record in 'col0' contains a "G" and concatenating the CSV Line Number with 'col2' (this is a timestamp, so I removed the colons to avoid issues down the line). I now want to replicate that _UID_G field to the other records until I hit another 'G' type record to ultimately look like this: Here is my issue: the number of CSV Lines between records that have 'G' in col0 can fluctuate for each CSV that I run. I am trying to dynamically set the Number for Prior Features in the AttributeManager:  I think I need to build a list from the CSV file I am using first, then figure out how to count the number of records that exist between each "G" feature. To report about certain datasources, I need to retrieve the bounding box's xmin, ymin xmax, ymax values for later insertion into a text file.I have coupled a BoundingBox Accumulator Transformer to my Reader, which gives me a geometry object for the bounding box, but alas, I don't know how to get the aforementioned coordinates from this object.Any help would be greatly appreciated - Markus

Hello,I am stuck on a problem that is probably very simple, I just don't get it...I have a simple test IFC file with two rooms and some random furniture:I would like to use FME to run an inclusion test, which furniture is in which room.My thinking is to extract a center point of every furniture instance and run a spatial join using the Clipper tool. Something like this:Now, the confusing part.The clipper attribute merge is telling me all the furniture are in just one room:Why is that?It works fine using an AreaOverlay, but I really need a 3D inclusion test...Test IFC and my workspace:Thanks.
