I used the Ifc-Writer to writeout an IFC-file succesfully. However, I need to add some elements that are not supported by FME yet (IfcZone and IfcPresentationLayerAssignment. The latter is quite easy to do, if you take the relevant ID's from the IFC-file.For the first however, I need to add an IfcGlobalUniqueId. This is not a regular GUID, but some sort of encoded uuid, see documentation here.Now FME already writes those IfcGlobalUniqueId's and I am not that much of a developer. So I am hoping someone can help by either passing me a bit of Python-code or maybe Safe can create a Custum Transformer like IfcGlobalUniqueIdCreator? I have a csv file with both lat and long fields that I would like to be converted from GAUSS-Kruger to UTM system. I tried a .csv reader and a "reprojector" transformer and a csv writer. The output csv is simple the same as my original input. Any ideas? thanks!

I have a workspace that converts data from an IFC file to PostGIS. The IFC file contains data I would like to convert in IfcPropertySingleValue elements. Multiple IfcPropertySingleValues are combined in an IfcPropertySet, which is related to a IfcBuildingElementProxy element by means of a IfcRelDefinesByProperties. Converting the IfcBuildingElementProxy elements works, but I would like to have the related data in the IfcPropertySingleValue elements too. How could that be achieved? The classes IfcPropertySingleValue, IfcPropertySet and IfcRelDefinesByProperties do not show up as feature types in the IFC reader.

Hi there,I have some data where one column is only sparsely filled, and I want to fill these missing ones based on another present attribute. Here's a basic representation:ClassTypeMammalDog DogFishTrout Trout TroutReptileLizard Lizard What I need to do is fill in all the empty "Class" lines based on the "Type". In the data, each Type will always have at least one entry in Class (aka, no Type will ever be classless), and no Type will have more than one class.So in short, my current data may have 3 entries with "Trout" and only one of those specify the class as "Fish". What I want is to derive the info from that one Type entry, and fill in all the blank Class lines.  Thanks in advance for any tips! Best regards,

I have a workspace that deletes polygons that are inside larger polygons, but multiple files at the same time. The files are DWG and the polygons are on the same layer. I´m using a dissolve but the error appeared below: 2019-02-07 23:03:58| 182.1| 0.5|ERROR |Dissolver(PolygonDissolveFactory_base_factory): INDEX FAILURE - requested predicate not implemented  Why did this happen? With one file worked fine, but when I put more than one file the execution failed.Can you remove the internal polygons without using the dissolver transformer? Thank´s

HI,I use a FME Server 2016 to run different workbenches. For the update on FME Server 2018 I have to upgrade these workbenches, too.Therefore I upgrade all transformers, which are upgradable. With the dissolver I get some problemes:old workbench:new workbenchIn the new workbench I get less objects then in the old workbench, but the result must be the same.The new dissolver has the addional parameters: Connect Z Mode, Tolerance and Aggregate Handeling.Which are the correct configurations the get the same output like in the old workbench?  Thanks and best regards

Hello everyone.I have run into a problem while validating dgn data. I need to check for elements that have specified graphic group, however I have run into a problem where cells seem to show igds_graphic_group = 0 even though in my editing software I see that it has graphic group set to non-zero value.I have tested this in FME 2016.0, 2017.0, 2017.1.Bellow is a snippet of one file I am working with (there are many more, over 8000) where I have encountered this problem.  This is what I see in my editing software (MGEO, which is local version of microstation)No matter if I expand named cells, or keep just insert points of the cell, I always get igds_graphic_group = 0. Lines work just fine, there I get graphic group I see in my editing software.  Any help is really welcome.Thanks,Radek 

I have an urgent question regarding the transformer "NeighborhoodAggregator".The following numbers are used for the width and height which are equivalent to 0.0316897 (mile).I also used 2D Gridder to visualize the width and height and it looks like the following image. My question is that how come my 2 points which are 0.0316897 (mile) apart, do not get aggregated. I am using EPSG:4326 for my coordinate system. By the way, what is the difference between doing buffer/dissolve compared to using NeighborhoodAggregator?

I have a workspace that runs on FME server and uses a HTTPCaller to call other workspaces. I haven't used FMEServerJobSubmitter because FMEServerJobSubmitter needs to be set to just one workspace which fixes the set of parameters and I have lots of options for which workspace actually needs to be ran depending on earlier results/settings . I'm using a JSONTemplater to put together instructions for the HTTPCaller to run whichever workspace is needed. The problem is that this uses two engines: the HTTPCaller starts another engine while the original workspace waits for it to complete. Is there any way to have the option of many child workspaces to run and only use one engine like FMEServerJobSubmitter does when there is only one possible child workspace?

I need to compare file sizes and other attributes for a PRE upgrade and POST upgrade output files. O would like to get the list of files from both folders and compare the sizes, names and type. I am new to python and really need help writing a python script.

Hi,I am using FME Desktop 2017.1 and trying to output a Microstation V8 DGN file with curves instead of line strings. I have exposed and set the igds_type attribute to 11 (ie: curve) but the output DGN now has no lines at all. Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks

Hello, do I have to use a dynamic reader when the name of an input shapefile changes but the schema does not? I use a workspace that reads a shape that gets updated every two months. I assumed that it suffices to link the new shape in the input parameters but no features are read due to the new filename. To prevent this I either create a new shp reader everytime or I create a workaround with a Creator/FeatureReader/AttributeExposer combination. Both solutions don't seem very elegant and I'm sure I'm doing this the wrong way. Is there a simpler way using a dynamic reader? Thank you for your help. This really irks me as I'm not a newcomer to FME.

I would like to identify 360 degree loops formed from a polyline and its attributes. ID's are the same but should only occur on 3 or less edges and not 4, forming the "loop". Below image gives a clearer overview. How will I go about identifying these issues? Thanks

I have some different 3D-models in different formats. I want to batch create a 2D image without opening them with FME Data Inspector or another tool - take a screenshot and save as image.Are there any way to do this?Ie - do you know of any open source or other tools that can take as an input an inputfile (vector / 3D) - a viewpoint and write that as a raster?

I want to filter from a dataset the polygons that contain no further polygons. I have tried the Transformer AreaOnAreaOverlayer and SpatialRelator (Attributes (s) that Must Differ = element_id) so far. 

I am having issues using the ArcGIS Portal Feature Service reader. The reader accepts the host name and my username and password and it is able to successfully load all of the feature services. After I select a feature service, I click the ellipses button next to "Layer List" and it gives me the following error:   Has anyone else experienced this error message?

Hello everybody. I added texture images to building walls in sketchup, and then I tried to transform .skp file to CityGML using FME. Transformation went successful, HOWEVER, FME doesn't save pictures the way I set them to fit the wall, it just saves the original picture as if I didn't do all the work with fitting and rotating the picture. Can anybody help me? Thank you!

I am writing Data with the Excel Writer to a Excel Template.In this template I have defined Named Ranges. These ranges only consist of 1 Cell (e.g. PrjNr =Schachtblatt!$G$5)The Problem is that FME writes to the Cell G6 (one cell below my named range)Has anybody a solution for this Problem ?Thanks Hans
