I try to recreate a raster using FME which was originally produced using GlobalMapper. The input is a pointcloud, I use the NumericRasterizer and then send it to the GeoTIFF FeatureWriter. We visualize the result in ArcMap 10.7. We also have contours generated. When I zoom in to a contour line it looks like the new raster is slightly shifted: GlobalMapperFMEI did some googling and tried different settings using the RasterCellOriginSetter but this does not seem to change anything. What can I do to fix this? Update: I can't reproduce this issue in QGIS so it looks like it is not correctly interpreted by ArcMap.

Has anybody tried reading data from a PI Historian database with FME?I know it has both ODBC and JDBC connection options.If so, could you share some knowledge?Thanks, Erik Jan

ProblemThe problems are caused by the underlying functionality of how FME Core downloads the email attachment and with the default FME Server Cleanup setup One of the functionalities that will be broken with this, is, for example, Backing up the FME Server. Hi, I have two datsets which I want to combine using a key. One dataset contains busisness names of companies and the other dataset contains more or less the samen names but there are smalll differences in some cases. I want to join both datsets on the keys which are most equal to each other.  For example: Dataset A:Amsterdam Cars B.V.Rotterdam Cars Deluxe Dataset B:Amsterdam CarsRotterdam Deluxe Cars Any ideas how to solve this issue? Maybe something with the FuzzyStringComparer?

I am trying to download all rasters from a recent USGS LiDAR Project. The files can be found here: The National Map (prd-tnm.s3.amazonaws.com) Is there way using FME to download all the files in this folder to my local machine?

I have 3 shapefiles and and 1 spreadsheet I need to import into 1 PostgreSQL/PostGIS table ADM1_area (Shapefile) is linked to the spreadsheet via a name column however due to differences in spellings this may need manual intervention How Do I bring up both the Shapefile name column and the spreadsheet name column and where necessary manually map the values across the two? for instanceMyPlace = My Place (Or one source might have diacritics ) This is probably a manual process as REGEX would take to long The preferred name spelling will then map to the name column in PG table and all other spelling concatenate to a list in alt_names column  The other 2 shapfiles are ADM2_area and ADM2_pointthese form 1 database row that has both geometry and point_geometry columns and are linked to the ADM1_area row via ADM1_name column this needs to be the same name used before and may need intervention When I created the PostGIS connection I could only see how to had 1 geometry column not two? T

I cannot get the ExcelWriter to use the ExcelStyler's formatting. I have found a demo worksheet in another question which works fine. I have deleted the writer and replaced it with my own (I think identical) writer, but it's not working and I have no idea why! I have attached both worksheets. If someone could point out the difference between the two I would be very grateful. I've tried a diff checker against the XML code in the files, but nothing is jumping out at me.

I'm getting confused when writing to a gdb with regard to feature operation parameters. The options are Insert, Update, Delete, and fme_db_operation. What I am looking to do is write only changes. Add rows if required, subtract rows if required, modify rows if required, and no modifications to unchanged rows. In other words, compare tables, then update only changes. It is not clear to me in the documentation that any one parameter does this. Let me know. Thank you, TylerFME Workbench 2020.2

So in the Coordinate System Gallery, one can see what units that coordinate system uses (ex: foot, meter, etc.). I need to access the unit of the picked system programatically so I can perform conversions if needed, but I don't see this information available as a feature attribute or property. Is this possible in any way, perhaps with some custom python? Thanks.

Hello Safers,One of our client wish to use FME to do a search inside all the documents in their sharepoint site.Here is an example of the search:  With Microsoft Search REST API, I can login to sharepoint then run this query in my browser: https://CLIENTDOMAIN.sharepoint.com/_api/search/query?querytext=%27195400002108700%27 I then obtain the same results in XML format: I wish to obtain the search’s result with FME. I tried HTTPCaller with Sharepoint Microsoft Authentication and it is not working. It said Unauthorized I also tried to use all other type of login (Basic, NTLM, etc) , with the same results. Can you tell me if something like what I want to accomplish is doable, or FME is limited right now to do something like this? I also tried with SharedPointOnlineConnector, but that only give do listing of the items, I cant make any queries.Thanks

I have a folder containing hundreds of tif and related extension files e.g. NS26.tif, NS26.aux and NS26.rrd. I want to rename them adding a suffix i.e. NS26_c.tif, NS26_c.aux etc. I can manage this using filecopy to the existing folder but because the filename has changed overwrite won't work so I end up with new and old in same folder. Any suggestions?

A dataset of 900 records contains a string attribute. This string varies in length and contains always a X- and Y-coordinate. Example:":5.781699137962022,"rijksdriehoekX":181934.095,"rijksdriehoekY":474580.092,"rijksdriehoekZ":0 I just want to get the part in bold and created a Regex to select this part. My idea is to replace the complete string and just keep the string part with the coordinates (bold part).  My Regex: rijksdriehoekX":[0-9]{6}.[0-9]{3},"rijksdriehoekY":[0-9]{6}.[0-9]{3}Any ideas how to solve this issue? 

Hi,I am trying to set up an FME Server App that accepts multiple spatial file types (json, kml, shapefile) as a "file drop" from the non-FME user, to then spatial filter against hundreds of "footprints", to then email the user back a email with the zipped "footprints".I am having an issue creating a workspace with multiple feature readers that, when published, doesn't end with a fatal error because a single reader cant read the input file. My workspace starts with a creator going to the multiple feature readers (kml, json, shapefile), they all go into a spatial filter against the "footprints". I am using a 'PythonCreator' and 'PythonCaller' transformer to create a series of SQL select statements. The latter are used in a 'SQL Executor' transformer to read many features from an oracle db. Eventually, these features have to be written to .json files.   Because I initially used the PythonCreator, all the feature have 'fme_feature_type' set to 'PythonCreator'. When using the GEOJSON writer in FME Desktop 2017.0 (build 17259, 64 bit) , this results in an error message: 'Unknown feature type 'PythonCreator' passed to the JSON writer'. Other writers (SDF, shape, excel, etc.) work fine.If I use an attribute manager to set the 'fme_feature_type' attribute to other values, the writer works fine.   Could anyone explain why the writer has problems with an fme_feature_type named PythonCreator? I could not find an answer in the documentation on the GEOJSON writer; so that is why I am asking it on this platform.

HiAdded Reader to extract from Access db source and then insert into destination SQL db (right hand side) and it worked fine:Wanted to add a writer to delete all db records (on the far left) before the reader. However, unable to connect that writer to the reader. Any advice on how can I execute that Delete Writer before the Reader? Thanks.

HiI need to add a field to a SQL table as the schema has changed. However, all the instructions indicate I need to drop the table. As there is data in there already, I cannot do this. Is there a way to add the column in FME, or should I just go into SQL Server Management Studio?

HiIs there a way to have the AttributeRangeFilter create the Output port names in a new attribute that's called like '_attrRangeFilterOut' and the values being whatever the name of the output port is? So instead of having the AttributeRangeFilter followed by a bunch of AttributeCreators which basically sets the new attribute 'range' to the value that's similar to the output ports of the AttributeRangeFilter, is there a way to just have the AttributeRangeFilter do that for us?

Hi FME Community,I've recently been given quite a big task of migrating, renaming and sorting documents. I have naied the moving and renaming part by using a mix of FME and SystemCaller for Robocopy (as FME would output the PDF files as folders, for some reason). So, the moving is all good, but is there a way I can use FME (as I am quite constrained by my working environment, such as python being stock and FME version) to say - "if a file exists in folder A, but also exists in subfolder X, delete the file in folder A" I've tried with a DuplicateFilter, which gets a few, but misses others (attached screenshot). Been going mad with this one

Can somebody explain the process of how to add a Coordiante system to the FME Coordinate System Gallery. I have the .prj of the new one I would like to add, I do not know how to edit the "MyCoordSysDefs.fme" file in order to implement this.   

We are working with simple workflow of reading in data from a SQL Spatial Table reader, setting null attributes to missing , and writing out to fGDB/eGDB/Spatial table. Our end goal is to remove the fields that are empty but there are occasions when these fields may have values. When writing out the features after mapping all null to missing, the fields that are entirely missing still write out when writing to a fGDB/eGDB/Spatial table (they appear as null in the featureclass).  We are unsure if there is a way around this or if it's a limitation of the GDB format.  My only idea of bypassing this is writing out to another format that would remove the field (like JSON) and then reading back in using feature writer and feature reader. This is a poor solution so any other ideas are appreciated.

I am using several ListConcatenator transformers in my workspace. I want to give them unique names, however, when I rename them and run the workbench, it fails and gives me an error. When renaming my transformers, I normally use an abbreviation for the transformer name followed by a colon ":" then some unique name.
