I have a shapefile with a few thousand points. I would like to be able to remove points that are too close or overlapping on each other. Usually, the points should be at a minimum of 1 meter of each other. If I have points that are exactly at the same coordinates or within let's say 0.8 meter, I would like to keep only the point with the lowest value into the OBJECTID attribute. Any idea of which transformer I should use ? Thank you. Mathieu.

I have FME Server trigger event late at night and it will automatically email with the report right after the workspace has completed. Is there anyway to delay the email to send in early morning instead even though workspace still ran at night? Thank you!

Hi All, I am trying to identify the orientation of a line (clockwise/anticlockwise or left/right) so that I can use Orientator transformer if a line has been drawn anti-clockwise. In older post this seems to be achieved by using Azimuth Calculator on FME Hub; however, this does not seem to be currently available. Is there any transformer I can use or workaround to achieve this? Thanks,Ana

I have a list which has two elements {make, model}. I can receive multiple make, model in in this list. So, I can get values like:{make = Toyota, model =camry},{make = Toyota, model =Prius} and so on.I need to use these values create a sql in the format - select * from cars where (make=toyota and model = camry) or (make = toyota and model - Prius); How do I achieve this in FME? I dont know the no. of values that I will get in the list. Please advise, I am very new to FME

I have a table that has x and y coordinates. I am trying to write to an sde point feature class and it is failing. The error message is that 'line' features can't be put into a point feature class. Each record has one x and one y value. The log says there are 2 coordinates (which is why it's trying to make a line), but I have no idea why its seeing 2 x values for any record.  I exported as lines and got the correct number of lines of 0 length. They actually are in the right place in GIS. Light on details, but if anyone has hit this snag and recovered, I'd love to hear about it. There is NOTHING weird about this table. Sensitive data so I can't provide details. Actually, it is only some records - an identifiable set - the other records will create points. I see nothing different about the records that fme wants to turn into lines. Thank you,Randy McGregor

Hello all. I'm new to FME Server Automations and I'm wondering about the Filter Action "Contains String" syntax. I want to filter on the Job Status Output text from the previous workspace run, and I'm wondering if you can add more than one text string to search for. I've tried a few ways and can't seem to find documentation specifically on this. I have it working searching for one specific string which needs no formatting at all, simply entering "FME_BEGIN_PYTHON script returned error on execution" filters correctly. Any info or assistance would be appreciated!I'm working with FME Server 2019.1.3.1.Thanks!

Hi I want to combine a folder of geotiffs satellite imagery files together in a row into a single geotiff. I dont need the coordinate sys of the geotiff output, just the pixels and its value to be stitched together. Basically trying to do the same as this question https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30227466/combine-several-images-horizontally-with-pythonTried the solutions posted there but the python pillow library does not seem to read geotifsAnyone have an ideas on how to do this?Thanks

Hi list.This issue has been touched on several times, but I don't see a solution for me in any of the answers.I have to read a number of Excel spreadsheets, and being spreadsheets, they vary very much in both content and structure.I can read the spreadsheets with FeatureReader just fine, and I get both schema features with an attributes{} list of attributes, and generic data features with attributes in an unexposed state.How do I utilize the schema features to dynamically expose whatever attributes are present in the data ?Exposing attributes seems to be a design time issue only, and I haven't found any way to expose attributes dynamically.Alternatively, can a (MS/SQL) writer accept a list of name/value items, and output these to the database as fields with values ?I also need to merge several fme_feature_type's (i.e. multiple Excel sheets/tabs), so Dynamic Schema Definition won't work for me, I think.Cheers.

Hi, I have two published workspaces that I want to delete - changes made and name of workspace changed. Don't want to confuse anyone down the road that may be needing to update the server automations. I haven't found any place to remove published workspaces. Any pointers? When I clip a Line with the clipper transformer I get a multipart line with one common length, and I need to split It in singlepart line features and for each line a length.

Hi group.A workspace that worked previously is suddenly failing on certain data since the last run half a year ago.I'm running it in 2018.1, but originally it ran in 2016.1, so I tried to backport the workspace to 2017.1 and 2016.1 to see if that made any difference.I'm utilizing a small dataset of buffered counties, and stored the buffered and thinned and otherwise manipulated dataset in an FFS file for convinience and performance. This file works nicely in 2018.1 and 2017.1, but 2016.1 claims that it has a wrong header or something ??This error persisted even when I used 2016.1 to create a clone FFS from the original non-FFS dataset ?Can anyone shed any light on the pitfalls of using FFS as intermediate storage ?Cheers.

I have two things that I am trying to accomplish with the current feature/attributes that I have joined. For each row of data, I need to write out 5 new rows. Also, in the new rows, some of the column values are the column names of the input feature. New to FME and befuddled by the performance disparity of Oracle Non-Spatial reader over high-latency network links. Needless to say, I understand the benefits of having FME close to the data, but… I compared the performance of the Oracle Non-Spatial reader against a CSV export from Oracle SQL Developer of the same database view on various machines in various locations on our network. Could somebody help describe the process to expose the three attributes in my simple file sample following: {'items': [{'att1': 'abc',  'att2': 'xyz',  'att3': 123}, {'att1': 'cde',  'att2': 'tuv',  'att3': 456}]} Notice that 'items' holds all the attributes.  I have successfully setup a reader to intake the JSON, but now need to expose the attributes att1, att2, and att3. I looked at several transformers, but the parameters are somewhat foreign to me. Hi, I'm currently trying to do a itinerary with my HTTPCaller with the posibility to have 2 itinerary. You can see the the request url that I'm getting. The query string parameters have a parameter called "Choixroute" which is the route choosen, going from 0 to 1. When the "choixRoute" is at 0,the result is the road option 1 . But, when I change it to 1, it is still the road options 1 and not the option 2. Is it something that I have to change in my HTTPCaller or in JSONfragmenter?  Thank you in advance, Ian

UID and GID in FME Server engine docker is having 1363 and 1363 values. I would like to change it to 3001 and 3001 (I have servers with such ids prepared).I have tried to set up environment variables as it is done in FME Server Core docker image:            - name: FMESERVER_UID              value: '3001'            - name: FMESERVER_GID              value: '3001' But it's not working. The upgrade to FME Desktop 2021.0.3 Build 21326 was carried out yesterday morning (Desktop / Server)Issue 1 I have a workspace which used to work until the upgrade.Simply put, a downloaded CSV file is read then written into a truncated Postgis table.This table is responsible for the functioning of this site including its contents as FME generated. (https://molevalley.cloudmappin.com/mmv/) The scheduled workflow reported that it was successful through an e-mail notification. However when I checked the site this morning, the address lookup failed to work therefore no one could use the site. During investigation I realised that the table was empty. (Truncated but no data)  Took a closer look and saw the following: Features were read as line geom whereby the original CSV is read as point data. I am trying to do an update to a PostGres database based on whether or not the created key PID is present or not. If the created key PID is present for the row it updates the row with the new information if not it inserts it as new row. The problem is the test for the difference created a different stream and it won't let me have two writers writing to the same table. The table name gets a 00 appended to it and can not be changed to be the same as the other stream. This seems like I am missing something simple as database operations go but why will FME not let me set two different writers to the same database table to satisfy the two possible condiditions?

Hi All, im trying to put a basemap under some vector linework output as a pdf.... Currently i use a http fetcher to get an esri basemap jpg, georeference image then use pdf formatter to try and combine the vector and raster.  it all works perfectly when sent to an inspector but when send to pdf i get nothing.... is there a simple workflow im missing somewhere ? similar to this https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_DataInspector/DataInspector/Background_Map.htm with the data inspectors basemap under my data. I just want a raster basemap underneath my outputs. I have read lots of posts around this but not found a solution that works for me.

Situation: I have geometry in a local coördinate system and through the affineWarper and vertex creator I can transform it and move to the actual location in the coördinate system I prefer. The problem is that the affine warper needs 4 points and I only have two points of reference placed in an old analogue drawing. Is there a simple way using FME to create these extra two points for me? So far I've georeferenced the analogue drawing twice to get the coordinates I need. This is quite time consuming and I have a feeling there should be an easier way.
