Hi all, I am running a workbench which I have scheduled in FME Server. The workbench when running from same location in desktop works fine. The issue seems to be with the sharepoint connector. I use this to download a specific file. Hi I have a list of urls and want to download files from each of them. I am using the http caller and extractor to find links to pdf files on a webpage and then another http caller to download the file. The fist part works fine and when I inspect it I can see the urls to the pdf files. However, the second part does not work. FME rejects the features saying the url doesnt exist. I have tried it directly in a browser and it is entirely correct, the url doesnt exist. It only appears to exist whilst the original page is open. Is there a way to keep that page 'open' until the files have been downloaded and the it moves on to the next record? Many thanks

I'm in the process of migrating a number of workbenches/workspaces from 2018 to 2020. Many of these were created years ago in much older versions of FME. So I'm meticulously going through an updating all elements in the workbench, then running it in Desktop and finally publishing to Server 2020. Running into very few issues but I can't get Desktop 2020 to read zipped GDB using the GDB reader. Where it does so in 2018, it fails in 2020.  Unable to connect to the File Geodatabase at 'path..../GDBName.zip'. Make sure the correct filename was specified, and that the geodatabase wasn't saved with a newer version of ArcGIS than the one installed locally. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147024893'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {}A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsIt will read the GDB just fine if I manually unzip it in the same location. So it's not permissions or issues with a bad GDB. Anyway, I can come up with a workaround - just wondering if th

But not 3 as Organisation X1 and X2 is not present in one of the three organisation columns.  Can anyone explain to me how I can do this?Thanks in advance!

I'm having mixed results with ArcGIS Online connections on a new install of FME Server 2019.I can publish a workbench with a ArcGIS Online connection (publish the web connection also) and it will work on FME Server 2019 immediately. Then after a little while it will stop connecting an AGOL will start rejecting connections. I'm assuming the workbench generated a token and the token expired???Under my Web Connections on FME Server I have a ESRI ArcGIS Online connection which says:Esri ArcGIS Online Web Service has not been configured for Web authorization. Jobs will run with your published credentials but you will not be able to authorize or create new Esri ArcGIS Online Web Connections until Esri ArcGIS Online Web Service has been configured in "Manage Web Services". More Information I go through the process of making an application on ArcGIS Online getting the app id and the client secret and the redirect uri is prefilled with something like - urn:ietf:wg:oauth:2.0:

Dear FME community,I want to create 3D-tiles from city-gml-data. These tiles should be sved as OBJ-files. I like to create simple models of trees of coordinates. Since there are over 200000 coordinates, there will be over 200000 trees. Each tree will have a certain amount of polygons. So at the end there would be several million polygons in one file, if I were to save one OBJ-file. I decided to create over 200 tiles in order to have many smaller files. In order to create those files, I would like to use the "Workspace Runner"-Transformer.  So I have one workspace, that created the tiles. In this workspace I basically created tiles made out of point-clouds. Now I want to transform every pointcloud-file into meshes which sit on one tile. Each point in the point-cloud will be used to create the tree geometry. Since I have over 200 point-cloud files I want FME to send every singe point-cloud file into the workspace that creates the geometry out of the points. At the end I wish to

I have amended the FME_SHAREDRESOURCED_DATA directory to E:/FMEServerShare//resources/data/ which was previously set to the default location in ProgramData. In the workbench I have a HTTPCaller that drops the file downloaded to $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)\\Geodesys\\.... I am looking to see if there is a method of setting a 'continuation' for counting features in FME.Essentially I have 300 features with a UID of a simple number (1,2,3 etc). I wanted to see if there was a way for when I add additional features into the mix, the UID would automatically populate continuing with the next available UID (i.e. 301)

Hello,I am a youth volunteer with a medieval boys camp. Since Covid hit, we have not been able to attend any camps for safety reasons. I have been given a DEM and an aerial image of the property where we hold the camp and I would like to build a Minecraft World to scale, so we could attend virtually. I found some info about how to use FME to translate the DEM into a Minecraft world, but I need help. Is there someone or some way that you could use your software to help us create this? Just installed FME server and need to create new web connection.Where do I create new user name and password?

I have almost 100 subdirectories, each with shapefiles of the same names, eg:/dir1/FileA.shp/dir1/FileB.shp/dir2/FileA.shp/dir2/FileB.shp/dir99/FileA.shp/dir99/FileB.shp Not only are there almost 100 directories, there are also about 30 shapefiles in each.Is there a smart way to get an FME workbench to read all these subdirectories (they are all stored under a common "mother directory") and files, so that I can merge them into one Shapefile each? What I want is to merge all FileA.shp into one file, all FileB.shp, into another, and so on.

I'm getting "Provider error `(-2147467259) Could not use ''; file already in use.'" in the log when trying to read an MS Access mdb. This raises 2 questions:  1) it's a reader not writer, so why does it care if the file is in use? I have other applications that read mdb fine if it's already open. 2) The final status for the entire script is successful. I would expect the failure be noted at the end. Hello,I have recently installed FME Server 2019.2.3.2 (32 Bit) and have been using it without any issues up until this point. I modified a config property in the 'fmeServerConfig.txt' file and even since then, the manager doesn't want to load correctly. After that, I restored the config back to what I had it at before (when it was working) and restarted the FME Server Services, the machine, etc. Has anyone else ran into this issue before? See attached screenshot. I have a shapefile with Photo_Name attribute (175 features), I apply a tester on the shapefile to filter the features I need (109 features). How can I then select only the 109 required images from the 175 source images - the fme_basename of my images = the Photo_Name.

Assume I have an automation that starts with a directory watch to capture an updated zip file in a folder. The zip file name is passed as a parameter (File Path) to the 1st workspace. This workspace is followed by a second workspace, which needs to use the same zip file as a parameter. I can not figure out an easy way to feed the File Path (zip file path) to the second workspace as a parameter, other than writing it to a text file and let the 2nd workspace to read from the file. Any advice to make this easier and streamline? The FME server is 2020.1.3.

Hi : We are trying to use the fmelicensingassistant_cmd utility to check for FME Desktop license counts prior to running some of our scripts that launches (fme.exe). Without doing this pre step, we end up triggering a very unfriendly error when no licenses are available, and users would think the system is broken. From my testing so far, it seems the utility is always returning 1 more license being used than actuals. (as compared to running the LMTOOLS on the licensing server) And, if all licenses are actually in use, the utility will take roughly a minute to respond, at which point it will still, report that all licenses are in use. Neither is desirable and this behavior prevents us from actually determining available licenses. Is there anything I am doing wrong?  By the way the specific license type we are looking at is the Smallworld license.This is the command I'm running:fmelicensingassistant_cmd.exe --query <servername>:27000 Any help appreciated! 

I have a SQL Executor that is meant to simply call a function on our PostGres database. The workbench is literally a Creator > SQL Executor > Logger To call the function I am executing the below SQL; do $$begin call apply_titles_update();end$$;FME initially struggled to find the function so I added the schema, so the SQL now reads; do $$begin call land_registry.apply_titles_update();end$$;This function does a number of things, notable a lot of table drops and inserts, however when FME runs it now fails to find the tables;Error executing SQL command ('do $$begin call land_registry.apply_titles_update();end$$;'): 'ERROR:  relation "dataset_update_schedules" does not existLINE 4: ...                                          from    dataset_up...                                                             ^QUE...'A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsI have then defined the schema to the actual function for each table, but still get the above message in FME. 

Is it possible to expose fme_basename on schema features, when reading in just a schema using a FeatureReader? I've tried exposing it on the reader parameters for an excel file, but it does not come through. Adding an AttributeExposer reports it as missing.Thanks

Hello,we are developing an application which is using Data Download Service. User gets an email with download link in it. When the dataset is already deleted from FME Server, user is redirected to a web page "Download Dataset Expired".Is it possible to customize this page? For example to translate it etc.?Or is there some way to automatically redirect the user to some other web page? Rudolf

The datasets are not small the vector layer is 1600 polygons spanning over 150,000 hectares and the rasters are a 10 metre by 10 metre cell size over the same area. The rasters are slope classes of F,S,V,X in band 0, so my output would be polygon one has w number of "F", x number of "S", y number of "V" and z number of "X" cells. I hope that's a clear enough explanation of the problem!

FME 2020: How to exclude fields added by the “Deaggregator” tool? I couldn’t figure out how to exclude fields added by default as the the “Deaggregator” tool is performed 

I installed fme server "FME Server 2020.2.2 Build 20817 - win64" on a new machine, and then restored from backup "FME Server 2020.2 Build 20787 - win64". The restore appeared to go successfully however all jobs fail with a message like "Error: The log file for job ID "6" does not exist". I suspect there's a path somewhere that needs to be updated. How do I locate where it might be configured?http://SERVER:8080/fmeserver/#/systemevents/history?page=1 shows over 250 events so it's not that logs can't be written at all. I found a thread mentioning this message at https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hL2RSAU/fme-server-2019-error-the-log-file-for-job-id-2613-does-not-exist and the cure there was to run System Cleanup tasks. I have 14 tasks listed on that page and all are enabled. I don't see a mechanism to trigger them to run though. 

My goal is to batch deploy the process to many CSV. The transposer is only keeping the attributesof the table. FME_basename and all other attributes are dropped. With one file at a time i'm able to link to the source data set. but its not working when i batch deploy. It's keeping the same name and my files are overwriting each other. Thank you for your help

Hi list.This may have a simple answer, but I'll try and ask anyway.I have some 200+ features, that I want to add a geometry to. Simple, right?My table with geometry has 2.5 million rows, and I have to match on two string values.I initially tried to use DatabaseJoiner, but apparently it doesn't handle geometries ?I then got stuck with reading all 2.5 million records and use a FeatureJoiner. It works, but it's not optimal.What is the better way when fetching geometries from a database table/view for very few features ?Cheers.
