Hi,I'm trying to color a raster based on slope angle values.I want to color the raster in intervals of 0-19, 20-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40 and 41-60. Low value = Green, High value = Red.So far I have used the RasterSlopeCalulator to calculate slope angle, and then the RasterExpressionEvaluator to color the points, but I can't seem to color more than one interval at a time. Is there away to merge the different colored rasters with the RasterMosaicker, or can I just tweak my IF-expression? OR, does anyone have a better solution for this?

I have a pointcloud.las and I would like to apply some R functions on it using the lidR package. I'm having some hard time figuring out on how the pointcloud should be formatted, or passed on to the data.frame within the R Caller?Same goes for grabbing the output.Any clues are much appreciated

We are using FME desktop 2020 and server 2020. We have a fme server job submitter transformer that creates child jobs to perform a data load. Each of these creates a warning in the system messages "Job 3117686 specifies a priority, but job priority is no longer supported. Use job queue priority instead. Please see: http://fme.ly/KB72058"Looking in the transformer the job priority still exists (although we use job queue specification) and i cannot remove this value. I noticed that at some stage it had been set to 75 but I cannot remove it, only set it to 100. Is this sufficient?

I have used snipper to get the starting points of the lines, then I used NeighbourFinder to find the nearest line to the starting point, but i want to exclude lines with same id as my point.. It is possible with Postgis, but know that I got a license I prefer FME if possible.

PL.shp with attribute 1 Excel with Attibute 1 and Attribute 2Attribute 1s relateI have AttributeFilter set for Attribute 1 to extract Attirbute 1 from PL.shp I need to relate Attribute 1 to Attribute 2, which was not in PL.shp, but is in a related Excel Once the relate is attained from 1 and 2, I need to create a shp that retains the name of Attribute 2 which is then written into a folder with Attribute 2 name.  This will have to be done 200 times, so how can I efficiently get from reader to writing 200 shps that need to be in attribute 2 named folders?  Then from there, the shp needs to be created into an excel that is placed in attribute 2 named folder.

I'm writing and IFC file and I am writing objects into IfcProxy as there's no other fitting IFC Type at the moment. To better define the type, I am using the default ProxyType attribute. When I write ProxyType as attribute in FME, the IFC file breaks. I can see the information added in the file but apparently the syntax is wrong. The FME output looks like this:#674=IFCPROXY('b4I2bLVTRhe0Uu99isXLTw',#24,'Stone | CCC','Wastewater asset ID: cac582d1-373d-4ff8-bada-9727e139562a',$,#673,#672,.Sewer.,$);In this case ".Sewer." is the ProxyType value. Then I change the IFC file to contain this instead:#674=IFCPROXY('b4I2bLVTRhe0Uu99isXLTw',#24,'Stone | CCC','Wastewater asset ID: cac582d1-373d-4ff8-bada-9727e139562a',$,#673,#672,'Sewer',$);After this change (replacing . with ') the IFC file works and the ProxyType information can be read. Is this a bug or a mistake on my side?

Hi everyone,we have installed the 2021 Version already but now we don't know how to select multiple attributes in StatisticCalculator. In earlier versions i.e. 2019 it has been possible to select multiple attributes by clicking on the 3 points, unfortunately I can't find this option in 2021 Version. Do I have to select all my 100 attributes if I need a statistic about them? 😖  Is there any possibility? Kind regards,Sandra

Hi all,I'm looking for a way, to build a report using the HTMLReportGenerator, but the workflow must first kick off with a parcel of land being selected. Is there any way to do this via the FME Server? I know there is the ability to draw a polygon to initiate, but if we were wanting to start it by selecting a specific parcel of land, which is within our Cadastre dataset (or any other dataset for that matter). Any thoughts? The theory is to be able to specify a parcel of land, for it to go through and perform a series of checks against various datasets so that it can speed up the manual process of our users checking it against Environmental factors, planning zones etc.   

How do I avoid "Unexpected input" error when I change a shapefile in the reader? The message I get in part reads, " During translation, some features were read that did not match a reader feature type in the workspace".

Are FME Desktop and FME Server 2021.0.2 compatible with MSSQL Server 2019? Thanks for any reply!

We have a set of DWG files covering our geographical area. Sometimes we need to supply contractors with a subset of these files. The files are named by their map reference. We can generated a list of the required files using our GIS. So we have an Excel file with a list of these tiles in, which are also the file names of the DWGs. I have built a Workspace in FME 2020.1 to read the Excel file, construct the path and filename, and pass it to the FileCopy Writer. This successfully copies the files to a folder, but when I try to get it to ZIP the files, I only get some of them, and this message appears in the log: 2021-05-17 17:22:04| 13.4| 11.2|WARN |MULTI_WRITER: Skipped adding of some files to zip file 'X:\\SomeFolder\\selected_DWG_files.zip' because they already exist I don't understand the error because all the DWG file names are unique. I assume it's referring to the ZIP file, but I don't understand why I get varying numbers of DWG files in the ZIP each time and w

I have a polygon that has 200 Zone and Bottom fields as Zone1, Zone2, Zone3,...., Zone200 and Bottom1, Bottom2, Bottom3,...., Bottom200 . I am trying to split the polygon to 200 units and create fields called "Zone" and "Bottom". Then populate these fields as Zone1/Bottom1 for unit 1, Zone2/Bottom2 for unit 2 and so on.I am at the writing the attribute stage. I was able to get the values but I couldn't set the values to the final attributes. I attached the workbench template.My current code looks like this:import fmeimport fmeobjects def processFeature(feature):        for i in range(1, 201):        zone = "Zone" + str(i)        bottom = "Bottom" + str(i)        zoneValue = feature.getAttribute(zone)        bottomValue = feature.getAttribute(bottom))        feature.setAttribute("Zone", zoneValue)        feature.setAttribute("Bottom", bottomValue) 

Hi,I'm parsing text files - I'm using VertexCreator to take lat/lon columns to get a point. I have CoordinateSystemSetter going into it.I'm passing the VC into an ArcGIS Online Feature Writer for points (geometry is set to arcgisonline_point). I set the writer up with Import Writer Feature Types (as suggested)This process successfully creates the point in ArcGIS Online, but it always places it at 0,0. It writes properly if I used a writer to FC on disk and use that FC as input to the online feature service. I'd like to skip the unnecessary? writing to disk if possible. Is my workflow correct? Is there another step/setting I need with the VC?thanks

I have been trying to set up the command line in the SystemCaller to: "C:\Program Files\FMEDesktop\fme.exe" "\\<UNC path the workspace>\UpdateData.fmw" But this doesn't work.  I have also tried using Task Scheduler for that workspace but it doesn't work either. The workspace never runs. Command lines in the batch file: "C:\Program Files\FMEDesktop\fme.exe" \\<UNC path>\FME\UpdateData.fmw^--SourceDataset_XLSXR_7 "\\<UNC path>\DataUpdates.xlsx"Actions were set as: Start a programProgram/Script: UpdateData.batStart in: \\<UNC path where the batch file is stored> Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!  

Hi, I have a workspace that was set up with Python Compatibility of Python 3.7+.  Customed Python interpreter and Python Home with python 3.7 within the ArcGIS Pro directory.  This workspace worked fine with FME Desktop 2020.2 but failed when I run it in FME Server 2020.1.1. The error message was:Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'arcpy' I tried to change the Python Compatibility to Esri ArcGIS Python 3.6 and it didn't work with either the FME desktop or server as it seems this only supports ArcGIS Pro up to 2.6. Can anyone please help? Would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out how to group features based on a matching ID value and only if they have a date/time within 5 minutes of each other. For example, if I have two traffic jam features that both have the same road ID (they occur on the same stretch of road), with one happening at 12:15 pm and the other happening at 12:18 pm, these features would be considered a match and their attributes would be combined (total delay time added together, etc.). If on the other hand one had been reported at 12:15 pm and the other was reported at 12:30 pm, they wouldn't be aggregated. So far, I have tried using the Aggregator transformer but it's only able to group by attributes where the values are distinct which only works for the street ID part of my example and not the time part. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

I am stuck with the problem of updating a table in geopackage.I am reading excel records which have a unique Excel_ID number. Then, after some transformers I write the result in a geopackage non spatial table with the primary index column FID set in writer's parameters. Also I track changes with the Change Detector based on Excel_ID field, where the Original features is destination geopackage table and the Revised is the excel table. Further, if I try to write updatet rows in geopackage table with the selected Excel_ID as the ID attribute of the Row selection of a writer parameters, I get an error since the Excel ID is compared with the geopackage FID, which, of course, are different. Then I tried using Feature Merger to combine the updated excel rows with the record from the geopackage table to attach geopackage_fid to the rows join on Excel_ID field. Hello,I'm looking to read all DWGs in a folder and convert them to feature classes inside one GDB, with the feature classes named as the DWG filenames. Currently, I've set my reader to read all DWGs in the folder and put as 'Single Merged Feature Type' so that it's a single input port. Then I followed this thread to use the FilenamePartExtractor transformer and set the fme_basename to the dwg file name. After it's run, it only outputs one feature class instead of multiple. See below for my workflow.   Please advise on where I'm going wrong!

I have a gazillion zip files with shapefiles and their sidecarts. I want to generate a list with the shapefile name and CRS. Attempts so far: Use a reader, specify shp, read the zips: doesn't work, FME doesn't know the systems and CoordinateSystemExtractor returns almost nothing The system is named in the prj, so I could extract it with the Python caller: nope, you can't specify prj in the reader, so good luck reading prj from the zip. Extract the zips creating a mess (at this point I am already better off using plain Python), ctrl+f prj and load them as text, then try to expose the fme_basename with the AttributeExposer: FME doesn't show it (if I expose the fme_basename right in the reader, in "Format attributes", it does show it however but that's not what I want) storm off to the forums <-- you are here So is there a sane way to do this?
