I have a series of raster files of infrared aerial imagery. I would like to intersect them with a set of polygons in a shapefile and return the average (or frequency) of the RGB channels in the rasters. Could anyone advise if this is possible please? ThanksRob

I am trying to read a custom created attribute from BIM360 with the AutodeskBIM360DocsConnector. The BIM360Connector has the option to select some attributes under the "Output Attributes" -> "Attributes to add" option but these are only the standard attributes that Autodesk supplies. I have created an attribute on our BIM360 environment called "InladenGIS" with the value Yes on a specific file. Is it possible to read this attribute value when using the List option on the AutodeskBIM360DocsConnector transformer in FME? If not, is there a possible workaround using the HTTP callers and are there plans to support custom BIM360 attributes in the future?  

Hello everyone, I'm using the paramiko and scp python libraries in a pythoncaller to transfer files from my local environment to a remote Linux server. When testing locally I received an import error which I could solve by removing all contents of C:\\Users\\<user>\\Documents\\FME\\Plugins\\Python and reinstalling paramiko and scp. However, when I transferred the contents to the Plugin folder on my FME Server instance, managed by FME Cloud, I received the same import error I previously received on FME Desktop even though the Plugin folder on FME Server was empty to start with. The import error I receive is formatted like this: Python Exception <ImportError>: cannot import name '_bycript' from partially initialized module 'bcrypt' (most likely due to a circular import) (/data/fmeserver/resources/engine/Plugins/Python/bcrypt). The following python code is the source of the import error:import paramikofrom scp import SCPClient I noticed that the importerro

Hi everyone,I am trying to expose some custom ​attributes contained within an IFC so I can expose their attributes, see attached image (BIM vision IFC viewer).​There are ​various containers (e.g. SM location) and then custom attributes within those containers.​I followed these instructions with the GPE and Attribute Exposer but they are still not exposed. ​Thanks.​​​​​​​​​​​

To give a brief introduction. We have setup a containerized FME stack where the engines are residing on a different server. As is recommended and because the external engines are not running in the local Docker network, I am using a declarative "PORTPOOL" range. So both in environments "PORTPOOL=9000-9200" and in the ports "9000-9200:9000-9200". Using this setup, I notice the following message keep coming back in the FME Core container: "Trying to update FME Server services..." This keeps on going, where a message every seconds is being send. This seems to only happen when setting both the "PORTPOOL" and defining the ports. Removing this, does not let this message come up. To have some insight in this, I was wondering what this message is actually indicating and what is meant with "update" and "services".

Hello, I have a problem with the ImageFetcher transformer.I'm trying to create images from a WMS link. The error is : _http_error (string: UTF-8): ImageFetcher: The HTTP response did not include a Content-Type header, so the image type cannot be detected. I've tested the WMS link on Firefox, Edge and even on Internet Explorer and its working properly without any error. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, I have one column that is supposed to contain only numbers.But some values contain letters ou special caracters.With a Tester Transformer, how can I separate features wich the value contain letters or special caracters ? Thank you

Dear colleagues,I'm looking for a way to perform updates within 1 table based on consecutive attribute values. In the attached picture I want to increase/adjust the “Traject_volgnr” if this condition is met for 2 consecutive features : “Route4” is the same but the difference between the consecutive “Hm_pos” is greater than 2. In the example this should give the following result: Line 15089 - 15093 the "Traject_volgnr" remains 1 but in lines 15094 - 1598 the "Traject_volgnr" changes to 2 (or another value).  

Hi Everyone, I am trying to link a custom transformer, instead of having it embedded in my workspace.  But when I right click on the transformer only "Edit" is shown. The action for embedding or link is not shown (as in the tutorial link below) Any Idea where I am going wrong? Has the UI changed in FME 2022? I can't find SweptSolidBuilder in the latest beta, only PipeReplacer is present but it is more limited (at least as far as I tested it. Will SweptSolidBuilder make a come back this year?

Hi all,i would like to concatenate values from 2 lists (maybe 3 later) from 2 fields. The values are in multiline. I can get values with attributesplitter and a listconcatenator but after that, i don't find the solution! After the 2 listconcatenator, I tried the featureMerger but It don't gives me the two new values -concatened and _concateneddate.If someone could help me, it would be very nice!Thank you!

Hi all.I'm tasked with updating a table that contains 10+ geometry fields. I'm opening it as a non-geometric table, extracting one (of two) geometries, and reprojecting this to a variable projection, based on other field data and/or coordinate values.This all works well, but when I try to update the targeted geometry field in the database table, all hell breaks loose in FME.I've tried to use the formats "Microsoft SQL Server Binary", "OGC Well Known Binary", and even "OGC Well Known Text".I usually get an error message about mixing image and geometry field types, but now it just times out all the update commands.I've tried using a writer with "update", and the DatabaseUpdater, but both errs, so I've ended up with a SqlExecutor (with an UPDATE command), which unfortunately times out.What is the proper way to accomplish this task ?

Hi.When reading multiple geometries from a single table, they're joined together in a single aggregate geometry collection.The individual geometries can be extracted by using a Deaggregator, with each separate geometry having its original field name as its "name". Writing multiple geometries back to the table requires the geometries to be aggregated, and a MultipleGeometrySetter set to Yes.If updating such multiple geometries, I assume that FME extracts each geometry from the aggregate, and updates the (geometry) field values designated by the individual "geometry name" as field name ?So, if I have a table with 3 geometry fields (A, B, and C), and want to use geometry A to update field C with a new geometry, should I create an aggregate with all 3 (original A and B + new C), or can I just include the new C value in the aggregate when updating ?Cheers.

Hi,I just added an end-sql statement to some workspaces, each with a comment on the preceding line. The comment is a T-SQL line comment on a separate line, i.e. with prepended "--" (two dashes).This fails, as it seems FME gobbles up the first dash before execution, rendering the complete statement invalid.If this WAD og a bug ?Is it possible to add comments as "/* ... */" instead, or would "--- ..." (i.e. 3+ dashes) work ? It also doesn't look like line-feeds in the statement are respected, so maybe line comments are a complete no-go ?CheersLars

I built a simple workflow that converts a DWG to KML. I'd like to write the KML file back to the same location I read it from. For example, dwg from path C:\\Users\\admin\\Downloads\\test.dwg, writes to C:\\Users\\admin\\Downloads\\test.kml It's simple to manually select the Reader file and Writer location dynamically using User Parameters, but I want to only have to select the Reader file and automatically set the Writer location/file name. Doing it this way would save a step if possible.

We have a large number of JPG images that cover the same area (flown with a drone in a criss-cross pattern). We need to split the set of images into smaller, workable groups. The idea is to, if possible, create an area of 2 rows by 2 columns that cover the same area where the images were taken. If an image falls within one of the four quadrants, it should be moved to a specific folder that representsthat quadrant. That way we can correctly subdivide the set of images into four, more manageable blocks. The 2DGridAccumulator seems to be able to setup a grid, but is there now a way to compare each image to each cell of such a generated grid and then move that image to a folder as explained above? As the drone flew in a criss-cross pattern, the date modified for each file cannot be used to determine in what block it should be placed (ie by just using Windows File Explorer to categorise the images). Apologies if there is a straight forward solution for this which I could not find.

Is it possible to use multiple CRON triggers in the same Automation, also while "passing" values from one workspace block to another using values from an embedded Automations writer? Essentially I would like to set up a single Automation that triggers at a given time, completes a number of steps, and then "waits" for a second CRON trigger to continue with additional steps, and with the additional steps part of the routine using a value from an upstream block.

I have a workspace that has several outputs, some of them need to be without any information so that at the end of the workspace execution, an email can be sent via emailer, how can I implement logic like this? Does anyone have an example?

Hi. Im having no luck connect to sql express db. Can FME connect to SQL Express? If so, should I be using the ADO or JDBC reader? Also, is there anything else that could be an issue? Ive put the server and instance name in and port 1433 is open. Thanks

 Hello , I have dots and texts in my workspace. My writings must be attached to the point data. In the picture, the correct text in the 1st example is attached to the point data, but in the 2nd example, the text is not attached to the point data, how can I detect the non-adhesive text or point data?
