Hi,I am running a workspace on FME Server and I see that most of the columns have unreadable characters in it after running a workspace. I have not seen this before. Is this because of bad data coming in from the source data file or UTF encoding is an issue, i see duplicate features has been created as well. Any advice to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have an ETL doing one thing, running SystemCaller to run a python script. This works fine in Workbench but is not working on Server even though the log shows an EXITCODE of 0. Both desktop and server are windows 64 environments, FME 2019.0.1.If we log in to the server box and call the script from cmd, it works just fine. We tried logging in as the fme user account and it ran just fine as well. Its only when running on FME Server that we are having problems. I have tried referencing the python script from a directory drive and copied to the Server box, doesnt seem to matter. Some clues. The log for the job has an exitcode of 0. When running successfully on Workbench we can see in the log where SystemCaller executes the Python and it logs everything the script does. The log on Server executes the Python and moves on to the next Transformer (no log from the python script running).The Python script being ran must import other Python scripts. I was troubleshooting an FME Automation using CronTAB. 1) I adjusted the Schedule using CronTAB and an error message appearedPS: The message in black background covered the error message 2) Click on the "X" to close the error message and the following appeared3) I tried to rectify the error and started the Automation. Got this Screenshot shown in Step 2 is the bug.FME Server made me believe that the Automation stopped however it was still running in the background.  

I currently use this WHERE on my reader:[Last_Updated] < DATEADD(week,-1,GETDATE()) or [Last_Updated] IS NullI now have a need to use the items that are older than 1 week, then another need to process those items that are less than a week old. I have added a TestFilter, the NULL test is easy, it is the 1 week item that brings me unstuck. Is this possible to do?  Or do I need to add another step in my chain of processes? Thanks heaps.

FME 2022 Build22153: Calculating the value of an attribute fails, In the screenshot below, I wanted to calculate the “BuildingPercent” attribute field by dividing “BuildingArea” field on “BoundaryArea” field but appears not to work. To solve this situation, I used AppearanceSetter, then set Shininess value. However, textures of models got lost. I am using FME Server 2017.0.0.2When I start a job (jobsubmitter service) from the repository, it gets queued.But at the moment no job is running and an engine is available.When I go into the queue and resubmit the job, a new job gets executed running the same workspace without any issues.Has anybody seen this before?And if so, how to solve it?

We recently upgraded from FME Desktop and Server 2021.1 to 2022.1 and are now noticing about a 3' shift while using the Reprojector and CsmapReprojector. The shift is not present while using the ESRIReprojector and PROJReprojector. In this example scenario I've attached workspaces for both version and shapefile outputs of the coordinates. The workspace has not been modified and has been ran in each version to generate shapefiles for reference that contain the coordinate values that differ between the two. We are going from NSRS11.LL to TX83-CF. Is there anything specific that has changed in the newer version that I might be missing when handling certain reprojections? Both workspaces have reprojection engine set to FME.     

Hi, Are GDAL raster processing tools available in QGIS also accessible from FME Desktop on the same machine? If yes, does someone have an example script of how to call and run such a tool from the GDAL library. In QGIS I would for instance use the tool itself with the following command line for generating contour polygons:gdal_contour -b 1 -p -amin minimum -amax maximum -i 50.0 -snodata -999999994.0 -f "ESRI Shapefile" <input path> <output path>How would the code need to look like for example in a PythonCaller on a typical Windows machine with both FMEDesktop and QGIS installed on it? Thank you! Best regards, Olivier

I have a dateset of polygons which I know includes some anomalies such as self-intersecting and spikes. I'd like to identify these and if possible count the number of instances of each type in a report. I have tried following the FME guide on self-intersecting polygons but it does not seem to be working as I expected on my dataset. I'm not sure if its my setting in the GeometryValidator transformer or my base data that is at fault. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I'll include some images of the types of issues I'd like to identify along with the workbench I created and some sample data:

Hello, i have problems to write data with the Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer.The writer is not able to write the date-values into the date-type-attribute. I've did research in the internet and tried a lot of different date-formats but nothing is working.I've also created a hosted feature layer in Portal for ArcGIS to see how the dates are written when i add features. I cloned that date-format in the workspace but this also failed. Is anyone out there who successfully wrote date-data with the Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer or has an approach to solve the problem? I'm using Workbench 2020.2.0.0 (20201027 - Build 20787 - WIN64). Thank you very much! Greetings!

Installing Python Packages to FME Desktop In the PythonCaller script, use the module with this code.from win32com.client import Dispatch This error message appears when run the workspace.Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'win32api' I believe that the script is not wrong, since the workspace can be run if I install the module into an external Python interpreter and use it as Custom Python Interpreter for FME. Can you use win32com into with the Python interpreter bundled in FME Desktop?

I have one shapefile with polygons representing a cartographic sheets at some scale. Each polygon has an unique identifier (IDn). I have used SpatialRelator transformer (see attached image) to look for neighbor sheets for each of them, and ListConcatenator to save for each polygon the list of neighbor polygons identifiers.  The attached example shows that selected polygon (ID0) has 3 neighbor polygons (ID1,ID2,ID3). The IDn is the identifier included in the shapefile name located in some directory following this pattern: .\\IDn\\*IDn*.shpI have to merge the 4 shp corresponding to ID0, ID1, ID2, ID3 to output only one shapefile.  I have used Directory and File Pathnames READER in other context but here I don't know how to look for these files. Maybe using WorkspaceRunner or PythonCaller? Please, could you give some advice?  Thank you in advance! 

I am trying to find out if there is a way to label some line features (lets say some streets or rivers) so that when I write HTML file to see directly these labels (like we label features in any GIS Platform e.g. ArcGIS). My solution so far (look the image below but I am not very happy with it): I used "Labeller" Transformer and then "TextStroker" but not very hapy since text stroker gives text outlines which is not very nice to see and therefore I dont have a lot of control over font style, font size etc. Any Idea ? I am using FME 2022.0.0.1.    

I want to simply add a folder with 3 subfolders to an S3 bucket. I'm using the S3Connector transformer and it seems you need a file to Upload to an S3 folder to create a folder, whereas, it seems to me that you can't only add a folder w/o having a file to upload it. I tried adding a csv file to each subfolder to setup my folder structure in S3 and that works to get the main folder w/ 3 subfolders each containing an empty csv file. I then added 3 more S3Connector transformers w/ the Delete option to remove the csv files from each subfolder thinking then I would have the desired folder setup without any files in them. This doesn't work because when you delete the only csv file from the subfolder, it also removes subfolder leaving nothing left in S3. Is there a way to create the desired s3 folder structure without adding a file? Or is it possible to delete the file from the subfolder without removing the subfolder?

I've search quite a bit and can't seem to find an answer. Why would a log file not get created? If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it. -Kurt

Hi folks,I am getting some obscure errors (Dropbox API I assume) using the DropboxConnector with bigish files >300 mb.Looking at the error and the Dropbox community I am assuming FME is using the /2/files/upload endpoint which is limited to 300 mb. Can anyone confirm there is an upload size limit with the DropBoxConnector? Workaround?
