Hello, I'm experiencing difficulty transforming a .las file to Mojang Minecraft format, as I receive an error stating that the Z coordinates exceed the allowed parameters (0-255). I've found no straightforward way to manually set the maximums and minimums before transforming. I've tried to scale the .las, but the feature is imprecise and results in distorted structures. Is there a way to set minimum and maximum coordinates prior to transforming?
Hello, Is there a way to 'fanout' when writing to an SQL Database? The image below shows a simplified example of what I want to achieve , I have a number of target SQL Server tables and their table names relate to the values in Col2 (I actually have dozens of target tables to write to). I'm guessing I could achieve this by writing to a format that is 'fanoutable' (e.g. Excel), then re-importing and then writing to SQL Server, but I wondered if any one knew of a more eloquent way of achieving this? Thanks, RB
Currently, all the values overlap each other, I only need whatever layer/value has the highest qpf at any given location. See the attached screenshot as an example. This one shows at the location I clicked on there are 6 layers overlapping that location (1 of 6).
I need to convert the polygonised raster and populate the raster value into the field category features are inserted but not renderingbecause there are too manycan you merge features with similar categoryas in one multipolygon for each categorylook at this image it's like each pixel has been inserted separately as a recordthis is wrongadjoining features need to be merged as a single polygonthat way they will represent a single region yes, I should have no more than (1000 Guess) features
Hello! I am trying to create a service area from polygons. I need to create an area that can be achieved during xx minutes with average speed xx km/hour. Is this possible with FME Workbench? (Or do I need to transform the polygon -type into point-type etc.)? I hope you understoor the question and am happy to inform some more.
Hi ! Keeping an eye one your website is not an easy option to be up to date on what is going on. FME Desktop Build 22304: Moving attribute fields up and down through the “attribute manager” is slow, I couldn’t figure out why moving attribute fields up and down is slow Is this by design?
Hello,I made an FME script to automate modeling when importing new coordinates.I have two column plots "NUM_PARC" 409 and DP139 which fail to create the polyline correctly. Some points with the same numbering are taken from parcels outside the zone.I can't create a link with my area "MOVD_CAD_TPR_PRF_S"(NUMERO:2) and my final result. Can someone help me?Thanks
On June 24th I downloaded the version for Desktop and Server 2022.0.0.1 Build 22339. I update my system with those products, and validate the functionality of the workspaces as well as the configuration of the server. It looks like everything is ready to be moved to production environment.I give notice to IT that the artifacts can be moved to production and they require FME Server 2022.0.0.1 Build 22339. Now I receive a notice from IT that the mentioned version does not appear in the downloads list of FME. Now I have to make a whole verification with a new version.
HelloI'm looking to keep my geometry from my old state. (polygon with arc of circle or building with inner courtyard) I tried with the GeometryExtractor and GeometryReplacer transformers, but my new state changes by a few centimeters and I would like to adapt my geometry from the old state to my new coordinates.
Hello sir / madam, So I have two attribute "_zmax" and "ROOFLEVEL". So I want to test if "_zmax" value is within 5m of "ROOFLEVEL". If yes, then "Pass". If not, then "Fail". So if "_zmax" is 10m, then acceptable value should be 5-15m.Might I ask how to do that?Should I use attribute manager transformer? Thank you in advance.
Oracle has been supporting table and column names up to 1000 chars since 19c. ArcGIS desktop 10.7.1 and Pro 2.8, and later, also support long entity names for Oracle. But the latest FME 2022.0 Oracle SDE writer still limit user attributes in the Feature Type panel to be 30 chars. This puts quite a big limitation on our table design. Hope FME can accommodate long Oracle entity names soon.
Hello I have an *.ifc file and wanted to read in FME and delete records . How to read the file what is correct format ? After i add as reader (individual or single merged ? ) there are lot of features in it i am intrested in i am intrested in working with Plates and keeping rest of the things same. SO this is how the graphical representation looks like of Plates I just want to delete all plates that are in yellow colour and keep rest of them HOW DO i DO that as i dont see any attributes where this values of plates are stored it istored in STATUS columns and i don't see attributes tables or at first please help STEP by STEP how to build a Worbench where i will be able to see Attribute tables and select the rows that i want to delete as in "STATUS" column yellow plates are marked with " octructed elements to delete" this is how my workbench looks like Any guidance or help with workbench is highly appreciated and thankful
I know this question has been asked but in the comments it was said that this was solved in 2017 but just in the last half year it happened to me twice. Both times I was using FME Desktop 2021.2.1, I was copying a part of a pipeline to a blank workspace and copying the user parameters as well. Then I solved by recreating manually the workspace and addig each and every transformer one by one. This time not even that helps, there's always a value it's complaining about or it's messing up fetching the values from user parameters, even after you recreate them. I even tried to create a new workspace that had NO relation to the rest and when I created a user param with value XY and printed it in a pythoncaller it printed XY DEFAULT MACRO FME_FACTORY. Now this messed up my whole workspace and am about to lose a lot of work, how can this be repaired/solved?
I am building a Workspace which takes an integer as one of it's parameters. Depending on the value of the parameter it will query a different ArcSDE layer. I have an AttributeValueMapper to map the number to the layer name e.g.Number : LayerName1 : dbo.layerA2 : dbo.layerBetc After this I have a FeatureReader where the Feature Types to Read value is set to @LayerName as set above. This all works nicely - the data comes out of the Generic port. However, I also want to detect and report on any layers that don't exist. So if dbo.layerA is being set in the AttributeValueMapper but does not exist in ArcSDE, how do I detect this? I thought it would come out of the Rejected port of the FeatureReader, but it doesn't. I do get a WARNing line in the log saying the layer could not be found in the geodatabase, but there is seemingly nothing I can use in the Workspace. I already have a NoFeaturesTester attached to the Generic port to handle a successful query of the layer that retur
FME Desktop 2022.1: What is the equivalent tool of “Euclidean distance” of ArcGIS Pro in FME? I couldn’t figure of if all Raster tools that are available in ArcGIS Pro have equivalent tools\\transformers in FME For example, what is the equivalent tool of “Euclidean distance” of ArcGIS Pro in FME?
when trying to use the select file from web - azure blob storage option on a reader. I can get to the container and i can select files that are at the top level in that container but if i want to go into a folder to select a file in the folder i get an error. ( see screenshots )Any help appreciated
Hey Guys, I'm extracting AutoCAD Parcel information (LotPlan Name) and converting it to MTEXT within the drawing. The MTEXT needs to be a specific Font. However, the Font required isn't available within the DWGStyler transformer. Can I add a new AutoCAD Font style to FME?
my question:i have an Ifc file structured like IfcProject -> IfcSite -> IfcBuilding -> IfcBuilding Storey -> IfcSpacetrying to convert to gml i fail to convert IfcSite to GmlLandUse. the export structure is:CityModel -> LandUse -> Building -> BuildingPart -> Roomwhen i remove the writer for LandUse, the structure exports as expected like:CityModel -> Building -> BuildingPart ->Roomids and parent ids are inherited from CityModel to LandUse to Building.... suppose ids and parentids are correct LandUse has no geometryany help appreciated
I have 16 polygons (zone) and a feature of points. I would like to clip points by zone and write to points in each zone in a separate shapefile. that means as a result I have to get 16 shapefile from points. Attached you can see the workbench I tried dynamic and fanout. anyway i only get one feature from punkt.
There are GML/FGDB dataset with "round conner polygon" or multilines geometry which is mixed "curve and lines". It can't be written into GPKG file.src dataset geometryThe output geometry is IFMENullHow can fix it?
Hello, would anyone know how to group data under one airport? I have 32 airports, each airport has x UUID_departure and each departure UUID has x departureLegs and each departureLeg has two points. DepartureLeg has a unique ID and each departureLeg point also has a unique ID (it can be a variant of startpoint and endpoint). I have finished the connections, now I just need to somehow pair all departure legs under one UUID_departure and not connect individual points to these departure legs. Connect this whole thing to the airport. Is there any such transformer outside of featureMerger? I am attaching the WS on the download link, it is too big with data. Thank you!!!download link: https://www.uschovna.cz/zasilka/AQ2HU24BLI9F2R6D-XCY/
basically what i. want is that the outer polygon should be a doughnut-like shape, currently, its area is also covering the higher value qpf polygon inside (darker colours) it should have multiple polygons, just none that overlap the shp file needs to be clipped by itself
Hi I am interested in understanding the standard pattern to develop web services in FME. The standard use case is an external application post data to an FME server endpoint (e.g. polyline GeoJSON), have FME transform it (e.g. add a buffer around line), and return data back (e.g. GeoJSON again). I am trying to get my head around repositories, workspaces etc. Looking at it now it seems like the above needs to be accomplished with mulitple steps? Potentially posting data to FME server first, then submitting a job, then getting the results, then getting the final data? Thanks in advance,Nick
Our data is in the cloud and there is possibility for increasing the performance of our network disks on the cloud. However doing so, will lead to much higher costs. So if the performances of the fme scripts are mostly determined by internal memory of the computer, then maybe we wouldn't need to increase the performance of the cloud services.
