FME Form

When I am reading the files which are of size 192 MBit is working fine but when I am reading the file which is of the size 958 MB , getting an error. I am getting error in fme server while reading the particular file . Is there anyway to solve this error?

This might very simple to tackle but i have not found a solution to it. I have a set of GPS points along a drive route as shown the the diagram, the arrows indicate the route drive direction and i was wondering how to group these two sets of points.if drive route A was from distance 10-1 and drive route B was from distance 1-10. The screenshot below is what i have tried, I only get (distance 1-10) grouped the second set of data get added to the group, i.e, if the value of group 1 was 0, then next dataset will be 1,2,3, etc. Any help will be highly appreciated. Regards,Keller.

I'm interested in using FME to connect to a number of remote hosts to run a few command line commands, and returning the results back to the workflow for further processing. The remote host devices are network elements running an abbreviated version of Linux. Can PythonCaller be used for this purpose? The SSH connection must be completed through an intermediary "jump box". Any ideas will be appreciated.

I am able to write to a local MySQL database, but I would like to write to a remote MySQL database through an ssh connection. I don't see that the Add Database Connection interface allows this. Is there a way to do this?

I need to connect to SQL Server database hosted on Azure cloud. It is currently blocked within LAN network and we are looking at option to connect to database over SSH or HTTPS. Is it possible to connect to SQL Server database over SSH using FME?

I have hunted through docs but am struggling with dates. I can't do date comparisons in the InlineQuerier (see q linked below) so need to change dates to integers to compare using SQL, but can't figure out how to do that. I also want to be able to convert dates to months for comparison e.g. testing 15 September 2022 vs 30 September 2022 should return TRUE. Still new on the FME journey and any help much appreciated - or a pointer to docs. HI All, Any workaround to convert a date string (YYYY-MM-DD format) to DD/MM/YYYY ? The field type needs to stay as date string see below:  I've tried a few transformers (StringReplacer + ListExploder+ String Concatenator) but couldn't get it to work and show 21/04/2023 Thanks

At first, it successfully connected to the database, but later on, it started encountering errors that were resolved after some time. However, for the past four days, it has completely stopped functioning, rendering me unable to continue with the tutorial.

I have a script that was written for us by a consultant and it’s very intensive. The FeatureReaders are pointing to a connection file to read our SDE, as well as some file geodatabases that are stored locally on the server. The script uses a WorkspaceRunner to access a child script to then do some calculations. However, when I run this from FME desktop on our server, it never completes. It doesn’t throw an error, but it just gets hung up at the WorkspaceRunner. If I try again, the same thing will happen. There’s no common point in the script where this happens. It’s very random.I’ve also attempted to run this script from my desktop, and it works. It’s very very slow, but it does work. However, we need to be able to run this from our server, not my desktop.Any ideas on what I should be looking for in our Server environment? Our server has much more resources than my desktop, so I’m surprised it’s not working – so I must be missing something. Any leads on this would be greatly appreciate

Hi, at the FME UC last year there was discussion about a the potential to create a Custom Transformer and in the process consume a swagger/OpenAPI definition. I've been looking at the FME Transformer Designer in the FME 2023 beta and so far I can't see anything which would indicate that this is doable.  Am I missing something? anyone else know anything more about this?

I have a case where I need to determine which wells (polylines) belong to which unit (polygons) based on spatial relationships. I need to be able to know the percentage of those relationship (wells and units) and some key data associated with the unit. I need to determine percent of overlap and produce two outputs.  One to show only the relationships (between wells and units) with the highest percent of overlaps (including their percent overlap value) and an another containing all relationships (between wells and units) and their percent of intersect. I am going through a list of CAD files, how to keep running the workspace even if it hits an error?

Using FME workbench and fme.exe file. Both was working earlier. Suddenly both are not able to open any .fmw file. Only if run as Administrator it is working. What could be issue.FME version : 2016Server : Window 2008

Dear Sir/ Madam, I have two indoor map data. One is the indoor network for the entire floor. Another one is the POI (My interested points A & B). I would like to use ShortestPathFinder to see if the network is routable.  However, I am not sure why I am not able to use the "ShortestPathFinder".  My ultimate goal is to check all my POI points are routable. Could someone please give me a hand? Since I cannot upload the zip file in this forum. Hello,is it possible to write an Excel file to a SharePoint site? I don't believe I wish to create a SharePoint list or a lookup but simply overwrite an existing file in a folder sat in SharePoint.I can read a file from SharePoint in just fine using a Reader and just need the equivalent to 'write' I have tried the SharePointOnlineConnector but it's not outputting a file like I would expect.Thanks.

I was surprised using FME 2021 in BATCH mode to find, that DataInspectors (which were active by mistake) wrote all their data to FME_TEMP, and to make it worse the data was NOT removed afterwards. This way my FME_TEMP got filled up with 250 GB of trash and broke my workflow due to lack of disc space. Is this supposed to be normal behaviour lately, or is it a BUG ?Remark: I use Windows 10

Wondering how the schemaMapper can replace the field name for 165 Census fields within the Attribute Manager environment? Seems the examples require remapping the entire list? Is this kind of like a tabular Join in GIS?

I have an excel file with lat/long coordinates and I'm trying to create points based on them in a file geodatabase. The geometry is being created but I keep getting an error when trying to view the attribute table: "A column was specified that does not exist." I've checked that all the columns are green in the file gdb writer.​If I replace the file geodatabase writer with a shapefile writer everything works fine. Can anybody tell me how to figure out what is going on? Using FME Workbench (Form now?) 2020.1 Thanks, Mike

For a studie assignment I was free to choose a topic and I chose this. At the moment I have (shp) files with:Property data (e.g. how much solar panels per property with how much WP)Electrical Grid (for the area of interest I have all grid lines - like a road network. Not included are the lines to the properties themselves, but the lines that run under the sidewalk in a neighbourhoud).Transformation Stations (on the gridlines there are a number of transformation stations that are connected). For each property I want to determine a point on the grid lines where the would be connected. And If I have that point I want to determine which transformation station is closest. I thought about LRS and Network Service Area, but after a few night looking for clues on the Internet and trying I have been able to figure out how to start.  Is there someone who can give me tips on how to start en proceed? I have only had a basic leasson in FME and I am having a hard time finding my way. Any help is app

Hello. I have a question about one solution. I have duplicate points with the same name, but with at least different geometry. I need to filter these duplicate points relative to this one coordinate. Passed will be the point with the same name that is closer to this coordinate. I am attaching the fmwt. Thank you very much.

Is there any way to extract only the exterior wall boundary along with its door, window, and other related elements? Please share some ideas I really appreciate your kind support.
