I am using Esri Geodatabase (File Geodb Open API) Reader to read a gdb file where some attributes are mapped to domains. If gdb contains any value not matching with domain, then reader is reading it as null.  For example: gdb has one column Citizen with domain value - 'Yes', 'No'. If any row contains 'yes' then reader is reading it as NULL because its not matching exactly with defined domain value. I am using FME(R) 2020.2.5.0 (20210510 - Build 20827 - WIN64)

Hi everyone,I am stuck with the FeatureReader and I manage to read a table out of the database when I keep the WHERE clause empty, however when I fill in the WHERE clause based on the user choice of a choice list saved in a parameter "NAAM_BUURT" and I want to match it with the column also called "NAAMBUURT" I don't get an output. I just get schema data, while I also indicate that I want data features. Does anyone might know what I might be doing wrong? By th way I am using FME Desktop 2022.2.1.   

Hi everybody I'm using FME to merge several different spatial feature classes to create a new one. The user of this product is one of our partners in the office who doesn't have the possibility to view the data with a GIS-system. Therefore the output should in form of an excel. At the end of the workspace I use two writer: one for the excel and one for the GDB. When I compare the two results regarding the total area of the features, only the GDB one is correct. It is important that the area-values in the Excel are correct because they are used the analyze the other attribute using Pivot-tables and so on... Thanks in advance for you help :-) 

Hi,I have a point data set and I want to connect all points that have the same ID to each other. So if four points have the same id, each point should create a line to the other three points. The LineBuilder does not solve my problem because it simply creates an entire line and not just individual ones. I've read a few articles that the VertexCreator could help me, but I haven't found the solution yet.I would be very happy about your help. Greetings, Bastian

Hello, We are experimenting the use of FME as a sales reporting tool. Can someone provide an example of using the GooglePlacesConnector  or some other way of using Google Maps or other geocoding type transformers? Ultimately, my goal is to plug in a store name and have FME process a list of list of stores with address and lat/long across the USA. One example of what I would like to develop would be a list of all Chick-fil-a and Walmart stores in North America with their store number, address, and lat/long location. I can see using this for mayly store names and facility types in the future if it works.Thank you!Matt

Hell FME Community, i am trying to write the data into existing Oracle Spatial Point Cloud table. However, the translation fails with the following error: "ORACLE Writer: writing the point cloud failed because it has 3 extent dimensions, but the table 'AHN_BLCK' column 'BLK_EXTENT' contains data with 0 extent dimensions. The number of dimensions must match for all point clouds in a table."The "BLK_EXTENT" column has the SDO_GEOMETRY data type.Does anyone have any ideas? Best regards

Hi, I have two lines I would line to join together. However they do not intersect with each other so I can't use the line combiner. The lines are 3D and I want to preserve the dimensions so a neighbour finder might not work because that is 2D They are lines along the centre of a rail line but there is a small gap (see picture). I would like to join it so that it forms one line. The direction of the lines is the same. If anyone has any ideas how I could do this I would be very appreciative Thanks

Building a brand new Windows 2019 Server, with FME Server 2022.2.5. If we have workbenchs that write to SQL Server 2017 standard edition which ODBC Drive do we need (if any). My old server uses SQL Server Client, but my DBA says:SQL Server Client was announced as deprecated and isn't recommended to be used. ODBC driver is the one to be used.

Getting repeatedly the geometry object as delta on multiple runs

An example would be a spreadsheet with 2 columns such asNeighborhood activityA RepairB InstallA RepairB Remove Ideally, I could get output grouped by Neighborhood (A and B) and show the Activity values as column headers such as Neighborhood Activity.Total.Count Repair.count Install.count Remove.countA 2 (activities total) 2 (repairs) 0 (installs) 0 (removes)B 2(activities total) 0 (repairs) 1 (installs) 1 (removes) Should I expect to be able to do this with FME Statistics Calculator? I am currently working with about 60 towns (folders) on AGOL which all contain 10+ feature layers. The data is read from all these layer (reader per layer), compared with data in my db, then the data is updated/inserted/deleted in our db.  After this, let's say some work is done on the db data . I then have another workspace which is writing the updates back up to AGOL for the same town. I currently have 2 workspaces per town which take care of all the reading/writing/processing for all the layers. This has resulted in 120 workbenches which, when an update has to be made to the way data is processed, I have to go back and update all of those workspaces. Also more towns are being added every week so the number of workbenches is increasing.  The screenshot below is taken from one layer where data is read from both AGOL and the db, compared and then written out. Hi All,I have a polygon that I want to split by a line feature. I'm rather surprised to find out that there don't seem to be any tools that do this, or at least, none I've found yet. There are a lot of questions about this, but no consistent answers, or simple way of doing it.Clipper - The Clipper feature needs to be an Area. Mine is a line.LineOnAreaOverlayer - splits the line, not the area. :-/Intersector - output is lines that don't reflect input areas nicely.So, have I missed something? Is there a transformer for doing this? This is GIS 101 level geometry handling, so I'd be surprised if there isn't, but where is it hiding?Thanks

Hello. You don't know which transformer to use. I tried testfilter, but there you can't combine two lines and featuremerger, it's also not quite ideal. I have a pretty basic workbench with a HTTP Caller which processes the downloaded data to insert. When I open the Workbench it works perfectly. I preset all the input parameters so I do not need to pass them into the model. However when I try and run the workspace from command line, specifically in Jenkins, I use the following command:"C:\\Program Files\\FME\\fme.exe" "\\\\xxx\\xxxx\\MY_MODEL.fmw"  I get the following error: HTTPCaller_4_<Rejected>: Termination Message: 'HTTPCaller_4 output a <Rejected> feature. To continue translation when features are rejected, change 'Workspace Parameters' > Translation > 'Rejected Feature Handling' to 'Continue Translation''Program Terminating Any idea what would cause the http caller to fail only when run from command line?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The workbench below is incomplete. It aims at checking schema of a requested GeoJON before writting data to GDB.I would like the writer to proceed only if 'Updated', 'Inserted' and 'Deteled' ports of ChangeDetector does not output anything. In other words, I would like the workbench to terminate before writing if those ports are not empty.How could I achieve that please ?

Is there a possibilty to directly read the "styling" properties of a DWG layer in FME? By styling properties I mean e.g. the color, linetype, and lineweight. I know that with the FeatureReader transformer, I can read the so-called "Schema Features". Hi;I have FME Desktop 2023.0 BETA (FME(R) 2023.0.0.0 (20230130 - Build 23226 - WIN64))The FME workbench consists of Sql reader, Geometry Replacer, and Dwg Writer.Sql reader reads a simple view from the database. Among others, the field 'autocad_entity' with the value 'autocad_insert' and the field 'autocad_block_name' with the value 'kc'. (I use those fields or fme attributes to create blocks through dwg writer). Reader reads everything correctly. After the reader comes the Geometry Replacer, which works correctly. However, after the Geometry Replacer, the 'autocad_entity' attribute has the value 'missing'. All other attributes are ok. Attributes are read from the database as varchar datatype.Thanks;
