Filter out tables based on their name (using prefix)

I'm using a Geometry filter split out points, lines, polygons and tables (<unfiltered>). With the tables, I'd like to filter them further to split up the tables that begin with the prefix "Insp_" or "Maint_", because I want to exclude those from the rest of the script. I can only seem to figure out how to filter based on Attribute, but I can't figure out how to filter based on table name. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Splitting a table into several tables based on the value of an attribute so I can create a new table with the different attribute values as field names and counts. Or convert original table to one with additional rows for the attribute value counts.

Hi there, I have used a statistics calculator to group and count Shops on a streets by use - eg vacant, retail, leisure, financial etc. This gives me a table with the street name with different rows for the use and count of shops with that use on that street. Ultimately I would like to create a table with the uses as field names and the count of the use below with just the streets for rows. So for example - Converting the table in grey to the table format below that. I am sure there is an easy way to do this! If anyone can help I would be very grateful.Thanks Ruth

Automation trigger stops working after a 503 error

We have a simple automation that checks an S3 bucket every 30 seconds and triggers a workbench when a file is added to the bucket. It all seems to work fine, except I noticed today that although the automation was still running it was not triggering the workbench when new files were added to the bucket. Looking at the automation log I see... Service Unavailable (Service: Amazon S3; Status Code: 503; Error Code: 503 Service Unavailable; Request ID: 4F1445BF8D4DF69F; S3 Extended Request ID: bNSlvkHBzAjPZYX7hSRdG86fwpdaYqp2WrrGNa0IpPm4Qk4XeLb9qRXDdUk5EkWY/NdK1PcNYahUZduRItZf4t9NeiHv1+A8juV+dCYgLfc=) It appears that there was an intermittent issue that caused the 503 error. When this happened the automation continued to run, but no longer worked correctly (new files were added to the S3 bucket, but the automation did not trigger the workbench). I added a notifier to the S3 Trigger in the automation so I can be notified of future failures, but wondering if there is another solution to reso

Writing geometry to PostgreSQL database

I'm attempting to write data into a PostgreSQL database using the PostGIS writer. The issue I'm having is that the geometry is not being 'drawn' in ArcPro. When selecting the record in the attribute table, the geometry highlights but is not visible. When creating a feature from scratch in ArcPro, it draws as expected. This makes me believe it's a configuration issue within FME. I have verified the Shape Column is 'shape' (as defined in the database), and that the SRID matches that which is specified as a constraint in the database (3857). The coordinate system I'm using on the writer is EPSG:3857. I'm converting from DGN, if that is relevant. When reading the data back in with FME, all geometry appears normal and in the correct location. What could be the issue?

Filter out (with TestFilter?) records starting with specified word

Hello Group, I have a polygon dataset of LSOA boundaries read into FME. It contains a field called ‘LSOA21 2021 name’. The values in that field are entries like 'Southwark e09', 'Lambeth e08' and 'Lewisham e13'. I want to filter out only those records where the value begins with the word ‘Southwark’. I’ve added a TestFilter with an If Test Condition of @Value(LSOA21 2021 name) CONTAINS_REGEX Southwark. But that is maintaining the entries where LSOA21 2021 name equals, for example, Lambeth e08. I’ve been looking through https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Transformers/!Transformer_Parameters/StringFunctions.htm, but couldn’t work out exactly what string I need. Any ideas, please? Thanks,

I want to create a raster image with the sum of weighted input of vector polygon layers. I have many vector polygons. Each polygon should first be transformed to a raster and then given a weight/raster cell value (1-3, background value should be null or 0).

I have a point shp file that has an attribute with a number and I need to do a point on area overlayer, but the count in the area needs to be a sum of the attribute in the point file. I am stuck on how to do this! Hope this makes sense!

Splitting data inside a polygon into a new Shape file.

I have a Shape file contains bunch of layers including one polygon layer.So i want to split all layer's data based on the each polygon boundary and save it as new shape files individually. How can i do this in FME?

Spatial relation seems to struggle with boundary coordinates

An overlay analysis between some polygons and a few lines has turned into quite the ordeal.I hope the supplied workspace and data is self-explanatory.In it there is four tests that yield different results. I start with clipping the lines with the polygons followed by a spatial relator intended on creating a list of references. I would expect that relator would find a relation between all lines since they can only be INSIDE. But more than half fails. To test the reason I run it through an Intersector and measure the distance from intersection node to polygon mask. I guess that is supposed to be 0, but 3 of 20 return a value larger than 0 - meaning that the intersectionnode is not in the intersection.

CSAR raster functionality to read/write measurement coordinate information (true position)

Hello, For a FME workflow involving hydrographic CSAR raster files both band and point coordinate information are present in the file. The point coordinate information is the location where the measurement to generate the raster file was taken. This is crucial information for a user.According to the help page of CSAR raster (CARIS Spatial Archive (CSAR) Raster Quick Facts (safe.com)) this GCP and Z-value information, which to my knowledge is the point measurement location, is not included in the functionality of the CSAR reader or writer. Is there a workaround available in FME to include this point information in the CSAR raster file ? It is important that is saved in the same manner as in the original file. If not,would it be possible to add this functionality in future releases ? Thank you!

Connection to AWS RDS Postgres using Forward Proxy on FME Server

I can create an AWS RDS Postgres Reader and Writer on FME Desktop and successfully run the workspace. However after publishing the workspace FME Server it fails. It looks like Readers/Writers to AWS RDS Postgres are not using system Proxy Settings. Completed steps in manually setting the proxy:port using fme.exe in the FME Documentation. Thanks

How to use the LDAP Reader with LDAPS within FME Desktop?

Hi everyone, I'm using FME Desktop 2022.1 and I would like to use the LDAP reader with an encrypted connection (LDAPS, Port 636). When testing the stored connection I get the following error:javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested targetI know how to get the root and the ldap server certificate. But where do I have to store them within the FME Desktop installation? Kind regards,Peter

Issue with FME Server jobs - XML module errors

Hi there, I am running a number of jobs (all using the same workspace) on FME server, and some of them are running for a period of time (each job processes a number of URLs, so it is getting through some of the list, and then failing), and then failing with an XML module error. There are two errors:XML module Error: XalanFileOutputStreamWriteException: Error writing file: and XML module Error: 'SAXParseException: invalid document structure I am running 14 jobs at a time (on an FME Cloud Professional Server, so enough CPUs), and I have noticed that three will fail at the same time, and others will continue to run, so I suspect there is something interrelated (perhaps they all try to write to some XML log file at the same time?) If anyone has come across similar issues, or has any ideas of what I can try to work out the cause of this issue, that would be very gratefully received -it is a fairly urgent problem! I am running FME Server 2022.1.2 Build 22627 - linux-x64 I have attached

FeatureWritter not inserting data with no errors

Have a FeatureWriter to insert data into a SQL table. It ran successfully without any error. However, no data shown in the destination database table. Reviewed the log and it says Features not written (see below):Below is the Feature Writer: Both FME Desktop and Server are the same 2021 version. FeatureWriter insert works well in my other workspace. Not sure why it didn't work here.

Visual arrangement of Autocad blocks attributes one over the other

Hello!I have workspace which takes shp files and write it down to dwg.So far so good, FME 101.The autocad contains manholes blocks with attributes, And in crowded places, where there are many manholes, everything is a terrible mess:Is there a way to do a visual arrangement using FME?Where the table of attributes hides another table, or is on a sewer line, move it to another nearby place.I have quite a bit of experience with work intergate Cad & FME,And here I don't even know how to begin to address it.I would love ideas for those who have!Thanks!I am attaching an example file.
