How can I post results for FME server web application ?

I have a FME server web app based on a workbench. The results are contained in a simple table and written to both an Excel file and Oracle/ArcSDE. Any suggestion on display results directly after the job is completed on the same web interface. At this point, my option is for user to download the zipped Excel file and view results: only two rows in the Excel file: header row and data row. Thanks.

Snapping points or lines to a surface?

I am attempting to snap points or lines to multi-face surface features. I realize the 3D AnchoredSnapper does not snap to surfaces. Any thoughts on how to perform this. I would be ok with converting the surface features into lines since that is my ultimate goal. Any thoughts on techniques or transformers?

Is it possible to configure that FME destkop closes off his session after a certain duration (x minutes) and the changes are saved?

At the moment we are dealing with not enough licenses, part of the problem is naturally to buy new licenses, however sometimes users have their FME workbench session open for a long time, while they are not doing anything at all in the FME workbench. So I think it would partly solve the problem of not enough licenses, if inactive FMe desktop workbenches are closed down after a certain duration. Is something like that possible to configure for the users of FME desktop. It would be nice, if the changes made are saved automatically and no changes made are lost.

Please help me to solve this problem How do I convert this file from citygml to a shapefile With the construction site set on the map by knowing its coordinates on Google?

Hi,When I try to read data from ArcGIS Online this error appear: "Python Exception <TypeError>: unsupported type for timedelta milliseconds component: str". The connection is OK since I manage to read data from others dataset (fature layer) from AGOL. I have tried to find som answers and it seems to be something with dateformat, but my lack of knowlegde makes it difficult to find a solution. Is there anyone who have had experiene whit this error and know a solution?

FMEaggregate cannot be converted to esriGeometeryPolygons error issue

HI there I am alittle confused by this error as I am writing several shp files into AGOL, I am using the same area for clipping the data which is aggregated into one area using the tools you can see below.On the other shps file I am writing I have no ran into this issue, they are fine to upload etc but on the last couple of shp files this is the error I am getting. I was wondering if anyone had seen this before? I am not trying to write the area used for clipping to AGOL, but just the output of the data which is clipped, so im not 100% sure why im running into this error.

Can not write WFS Service into local esri gdb

Im trying a simpel setup. One reader one Writer.The reader reads a WFS service, and the Writer writes down in a local esri file gdb. Im trying to access this url: https://services.drift.kortinfo.net/kortinfo/services/Wfs.ashx?Site=Aalborg&Page=Aalborg_Forsyning&Service=WFS It shows up nicely in the inspector, and if you run the reader alone, it loads everything. But as soon as I add the writer I get geometry errors. What is wrong? Regards David

Hi,I want to insert or replace a json document in a collection using PUT and mongodb_id with a Featurewriter.If the document don't exists, no problemeIf the document exist, there is an errror message: E11000 duplicate key error collection: fdppma_dev_pdpg.Couche index: _id_ dup key: { : ObjectId('62b01e134c2300007e0001a5') }: generic server error I believe that Put delete the object before insert it. Is there a way to create a boundary around multiple polygons where some of the polygons actually have gaps between them? A little tough to see in the images, but some of the polygons do not touch. I'm just trying to get the black line as the outpu

Is it possible to configure that certain users get priority in getting a FME license over other users?

At our organization, we don't have enough licenses at the moment. Naturally, part of the solution is to buy new licenses, however it would also be nice to implement something that certain users get priority in getting a FME desktop license over other users. I was looking at the following link https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Desktop_Admin_Guide/FMEInstallation/Restricting_Licenses_to_Users_or_Groups.htm. I see it's possible to reserve for certain groups, however instead of reserving, I would like to do priotising. Is it possible to configure something like that.

Can FME undo file deletions in AWS S3 bucket?

I need to undo deletions of large number of files in a AWS S3 bucket. The deletions were done on S3 versioned files. I can manually delete "delete marker" to restore the latest version or wrote python code to do this (https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/home#/case/?displayId=11035724071&language=en and https://medium.com/@jbirdvegas/crap-so-you-deleted-all-your-customers-s3-artifacts-now-what-d684d76437d3), but wondering if FME can do this quick. I have used FME to upload and delete files to S3, but don't know if it can remove the "delete marker" to restore the latest version of files.

[Error] Transforming data/time format of data through converter but failing due to error regarding plugin changing locales.

Emailing multiple attachments in one email when name and number of attachments change

I have a workspace that creates .png (image) files based on business needs. I'd like to send one email with the png files attached. The problem is, the name and number of the png files will vary with each run. Currently, I have one aggregate feature with the paths of each png file stored in a list. This one feature is being fed into the emailer to trigger the send of one email. How can I configure the feature coming into the emailer transformer, and the emailer attachments section, to send the png files regardless of how many there are? Thanks!

How do you drop FME features in the PythonCaller?

I am trying to drop features in the PythonCaller (see below my code). I manage to delete attributes and geometry in the last else statment, but for some reason the feature itself is not deleted. The number of features in the input and output is namely the same, while the geometry is gone (Look at the image below) . I just find it interesting to see that the features without geometry are still kept. XYZ Tiles as background for the FME Data Inspector

Hi! Is there any way to set up a XYZ Tile background such as https://tile.openstreetmap.org/{z}/{x}/{y}.png (works fine in QGIS) into the FME Data Inspector?I suppose this type of service doesn't work like a WMTS service. Thanks for your clarifications! Best regards, Olivier

How to Keep Property Set as Geometry Traits from IFC to IFC

Now I'm suffering from keeping the attributes with the same schema. My workspace is quite simple, just reading IFC and writing IFC. I only need to remove some fearture types. So I think it's not necessary to do some touchups. And I'm trying to change some reader/writer parameters to solve the problem. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.From the IFC reader, we can see some IFC attributes which are regarded as geometry traits (IFMENull).After running the workspace, I found the all the IFMEAggregate with named "IFCPropertySet" were disappeared. Originally, there are 15 IFMEAggregates, including "Part 0:IMEAggregate (18 Parts)", Part 1 which is IfcMaterial, and Part 2 to Part 14 which are IfcPropertySet. After running the workspace, only 18 Parts are kept from original "Part 0:IFMEAggregate (18 Parts)" and its level is going up to the top.I'm not sure whether it's related to the setting of Representation Contexts. Does anyone have any idea?

Server apps dependency between fields/published parameters

Hi all, Can this be done with published parameters and/or Python scripting in Server Apps? So, I would like to have two fields that are dependent. First field would be choice only and second field would be filtered based on the first field. Second field is multichoice. Only the values from the second field would be calculated for output. Example of a table with two columnsAnimal, SpecsCat, BlackCat, Halloween queenDog, BrownDog, Mr. WednesdayDog, LoyalGiraffe, SmallGiraffe, Excellent listenerSo, the first field would list all the animals and once the animal chosen, then the second field would list specifics for that animal only and then the user can choose from those for the output.Thanks in advance

FME currently uses PROJ version 7.x. - Are there any plan to upgrade to version 9?

Only the latest version of Proj (version 9.x) supports transformation (3D -heights!) between the norwegian Nautical Sea Chart Zero (EPSG:9672 and EPSG:9883) and NN2000 (EPSG:5941, EPSG:5942, EPSG:5973 etc.), but also between Nautical Chart Zero and ellipsoidal heights. This does provide a number of advantages, including the possibility of seamless transformation of z-values between sea and land data in Norway. (E.g. from EPSG:5973 to EPSG:9883) FME currently uses PROJ version 7 in the PROJReprosjector- Are there any plans to upgrade to version 9? Do you have any other suggestions on how to transform data in FME from EPSG:5973 to EPSG:9883? Thank you.

How to rename the bands from an IFMERaster object ?

After transforming some bands of a raster (CSAR) in the Rasterexpressionevaluator, they are renamed to the same name (3bands get the same name) but I would like them to keep the original name. I think this is an error in the Rasterexpressionevaluator. In order to set the bandnames to their original name, I have tried the rasterbandnamesetter but it does not work as the bandnames are no attributes. The transformer does not seem able to reach the bands stored in the IFMERaster object. How to rename these bandnames ? Thank you!

Error with OBJECTID when trying to upload new data to an already existing shpfile in ArcOnline

I am trying to update a shp file in Arconline with new data. I am trying to replace the data which is the same and add new data that may have been added. I am using truncate and " update "in the ESRI AGOL writer to make sure this happens. But I run into this error when running this "ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: Encountered a feature for feature type 'WatercourseLink_Clip_test' that is missing the ID attribute 'OBJECTID'. This attribute is requiredARCGISONLINEFEATURES writer: A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsClipper_INSIDE_-1_17_Player (RecorderFactory): ARCGISONLINEFEATURES writer: A fatal error has occurred. Check the logfile above for details" But as far as I can tell both the source data which is being uploaded to update the exisiting data and the exisiting data in AGOL both already have ObjectID's. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I think im missing something quite simple here

FME encoding issue create feature write to fail?

I have created a workbench on my desktop that will be running each night on a server. Both my machine and the server is using Windows-1252.The workbench run fine on my desktop but on the server i get the error POSTGIS writer: Internal Error: Failed to copy attribute 'NÃ˜YAKTIGHET' to 'nã˜yaktighet'I dont have any encoding issues on my desktop which make me wonder if the translation fail due to this. I cannot see any other reasons why this would fail?The server is running 2022.1.2.0 (20220831 - Build 22627 - WIN64)The desktop is 2021.1.0.0 (20210630 - Build 21607 - WIN32)Both are using the same locale as far as i can see. Any ideas how i can fix this? My first try will be to install 2022 version on my desktop, but I doubt that would make any difference.
