I've got walls. dgn file. In the source dgn file, there are numerous lines that are utilized to form walls.I wanted to combine all these different lines into a straightforward wall. so I joined manually the outermost wall line to create a walls shape/polygon.In the attached sample file , source features and One straightforward wall feature is created in "merged wall" level/layer number 2(blue color) for ref. I just drew one simple polygon feature how the expected feature looks like. . Please, if someone can assist me.

 Hi,I am a beginner on FME and I have some difficulties.I would like to extract from my LiDAR point cloud, the local maximum elevation with the x and y coordinates of each building footprint.I have as input :- a LiDAR point cloud- the footprint of each building in format shp.As output, I would like to have a .txt file with the maximum z of each point as well as the x and y coordinates of the maximum, all in the same .txt file.I was able to extract the LiDAR points for each building footprint using the Clipper tool.Then I used the PointCloudStatisticsCalculator tool.I get my zmax for each building as a table. But I can't get them together in one .txt file with x and y coordinates.Would you have an idea to solve my problem?Thanks in advance.

I can group separate features together for labelling purposes and this is what the attribute looks like as an autocad_mtext_string However, I can only assign one colour by using this approach.How can I assign separate colours to lines of text within a grouped mtext string so it looks like this?

Hello,I am using the chart generator with some small numbers to make a scatterplot. I can't figure out how to display the axis values in scientific notation. See the example chart generator output image below using some made up values. The Y axis values range from 1.0e-3 to 1.0e-9. I would like to change the axis values to scientific from decimal.   Thanks for the help

Hello fme team, I have a line of length 100M, When i load to fme the defualt measure is 0-100, the real measure position of the line is start = 15.0 and end = 16.0, the line has attribute columns start and end in the attribute table.  Any idea how i can assign the start and end as measure values instead of the default measure 0-100? regards,Keller.

FME 2021.2.3.0 (20220131 - Build 21812 - WIN64) I want to query an OGC API feature service by an attribute, to be precise, by a list of attributes.In my case, I‘m trying to query the cadastral parcel service of North Rhine-Westphalia by cadastral parcel numbers: https://ogc-api.nrw.de/lika OGC API - Features (WFS 3.0) Reader:Defining the parcel number as static parameter value works fine.Injecting the parcel number as published parameter works as well.But the 2 ways above are static. I have a list of cadastral parcel numbers to be processed.Normally the FeatureReader transformer is the method of choice to inject attributes into a reader.But this time, it fails!Obviously the FeatureReader doesn’t compose the query the right way and sends a bulk request to the service: https://ogc-api.nrw.de/lika/v1/collections/nutzung_flurstueck/items?f=json&offset=80What’s going wrong? Best regardsOliver 

I am experimenting with a new workbench that has python startup and shutdown scripts. Everything seems to be running successfully. I'm using FME 2021 as I need 32-bit capabilities for ESRI. After the workbench is done, I'm calling a python script that runs a series of SQL queries. The script finishes and FME says "Translation was SUCCESSFUL". However, the workbench is still running and I have to manually click the Stop button. Any thoughts?

AllI am having trouble automating some workspaces as the data and folders that I receive are containing dates in the format MMMYYYY as shown below...\\\\server\\FMEData\\DataDownloads\\Supplier\\Data\\Data\\Name_Mar2020 The files are supplied as shapefiles and they are also named Name_Mar2020.shp etcHow can I automate the running of these workspaces for when the folder or file name changes to the next month?? I have tried using the * in various places, but to no avail and don't want to have to run these manuallyI know this is something obvious, but just cant figure it out... Regards  

This morning I could use a remote browser to connect (non https) to our fme 2020.1 server. I'd been tasked with upgrading to 2022.1.2. All steps complete, express install, port 80 and the web interface on the server works fine. However, I now cannot connect from any remote browser. Today this has happened on 2 machines, 6 weeks ago I did exactly the same on our dev server and it all worked fine and remote connection is OK. I've looked at the troubleshooting guides etc and all looks ok, I'm close to hoping it just goes away!

I am trying to read cell A1 from an Excel file but FME Desktop seems to have a problem with that cell for any Excel. Example 1 (fail): Example 2 (success with other cell): What is happening with cell A1? Why can't I read it like the rest of the cells? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

With the DGNStyler you can set a fill color, but is has to be a value. In Microstation there is an option to set 'No Fill' (see screenshot below).  Is it possbile to set a no fill directly in FME (with the DGNStyler or otherwise)? I tried a few things with 'igds_fill_color' and 'fme_fill_color'; however so far no success.   

The proxy documentation states that proxies are not support for automations. How do I set up my automation and/or proxy to use the FTP Diectory trigger when a proxy is in place?Curently when I add the FTP details to the FTP Directory Trigger and try to validate the connection i get the following error:  Invalid - Connection attempt timed out. Verify that the port number and security type are correct. I have tried all the combinations of secutiy settings available and get the same error each time.

Hi, I'm trying to understand XSD Driven XML Writer and wrote a simple example that reads 3 CSV file with customer and address data and write a xml file containing all of the feature types. The resulting xml is empty when I run the whole process. Running "customers" only writes at least the top element into the xml. I connected all feature types with xml_parent_id and xml_id together. Unfortunately the error message is saying nothing that would help me to find my problem. Please help me with providing a information or repairing my work sheet.I could also not find any example for this problem.  

Hi, I need to have parts of an othophoto in ECW format with absolute values. Previewing the raster in FME shows that the pixels have my preferred value of 0,0,0. When I write to geotif it works and I get the desired black areas with exactly 0,0,0, but not when I use an ECW writer. The black areas in the ECW have the black areas replaced with 1,0,1 or something similar.  TIF with mask at 0,0,0: ECW with mask at 0,0,0: I have tried disabling the compression on the writer and removing the alpha band, but the result it the same. Any suggestions?

I have an issue regarding reading of an Ifc-file with IfcIndexedPolyCurve. I get the following error message:"Skipping instance #76275: Instance is not syntactically valid."Row #76275 (and #45512) looks like this in the Ifc-file:"#76275=IFCINDEXEDPOLYCURVE(#45512,((1,2)),$);""#45512=IFCCARTESIANPOINTLIST2D(((0.0,0.0),(529.509035052,0.0)));" Any clues? I think that the Ifc-file is exported from ArchiCAD. //Johan

I got a fgdb dataset which is multi-layer. Some layers are the table without geometry information.I tried to convert them into shp file.But it is failed. And the converted layers are crashed also.The attached is the datasetThis is error message.Thanks

I was able to insert 847k records out of 1.6M last Friday then it just failed (token was refreshed). This morning, I've disabled / re -enabled versioning in ArcPro and was able to insert 600+ new records using FME. Tried another 600+ and failed with the below error. ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: Encountered an unexpected error. The error code from the server was '400' and the message was: 'Unable to complete operation.'. Hello all,I had one file which contains some null values and some state values. So in that case I am using the tester to filter null and non null values .but another file contains all the null values in the same column.so in the both cases we are getting the output in failed port as both files contains​ some null values. So how to differentiate whether a particular file contains all null values in the column or only few null values. So that if file contains all null values then we can send the error message.

I've created a custom transformer which I think can be of use to other FME enthousiasts. I want to upload it to FME Hub as described here Publishing an Item to the FME Hub (safe.com). It states that it is best practice to upload an test workspace as well, but the information provided on how to do that is minimal. Is there somewhere a template available?
