Hey everyone, I have an API that hold historical data. I would need to retrieve all the data for the past year. I am using a HTTP Caller to retrieve data. The API only allows for 30 days for one location to be retrieved at once.I have 36 locations, and about 15 months worth of data to retrieve. I already have workbench that retrieve one month for one location worth of data.How can I create a loop that would go through all these locations and date list automatically?

I have a workspace which is scheduled through Windows Task Scheduler on a Virtual Machine. This workspace writes out to an Excel file on a mounted drive. When running the workspace manually, it has no issues. However when running through Task Scheduler, the workbench gives an error "Can't open file for writing". The target Excel is not opened anywhere and I do have writing permissions for it. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue before?

I have a table of values with ID, Start, and End. Starting with the first row, I need to select the next row where the start value equals the end value of the first row. I need to repeat this process for the entire table. For example, I'd select row 1 then row 4 then row 6 then row 9 then row 13...Any thoughts on how to do this? 

I have this GML dataset (https://service.pdok.nl/hwh/administratieve-eenheden/waterschapsgrenzen/atom/downloads/administrativeunit.gml). I tried all kinds of configurations with the different GML readers (although I expect the INSPIRE GML reader to be ready for it). I can't get it to work. I also don't have much knowledge of the ATOM standard. Any directions for help?

Greetings, I am trying to replace values using the AttributeValueMapper, it is not replacing the attributes in the field  I would appreciate any assistance to resolve this issue. 

I want to create an Workflow in a Workspace where i load data from a Transformer and then create an Folder with the Name of the Attributevalue and then write the other Data in an Excel file in the created folder. To Create the folder with PythonCaller was easy, but i have no idea how i use the Attribute Value in the Excel writer Destination.

Hi!  I have an issue with the Clipper-Transformer, that I would like to use for a batch deploy. The clipper input is a Shapefile with about 1.7 Million polygons, defining a grid. The clippee are a few hundred Point Clouds as LAZ, that should be clipped according to the grid. I use batch deploy because otherwise the Point Clouds fill up the disk space and make FME crash.  The issue I have with batch deploy is, that the $hapefile (Clipper) is re-read everytime a new clippee is loaded, which is very time consuming.  Thanks a lot and with regards, Matthias

Hi,I have a floating license for FME. I want to know how this FME license validation works ?Is it like license is checked everytime when I run a script through command line / FME Workbench OR it checked only once when we open the FME workbench ?

Hello. We have floating licenses in our office so they keep rotating time by time.I have created a batch file for running a workbench with multiple workspace runners in it. Now, when I run the batch file and if by chance, no licenses are available that time, what will happen? Will my workspace go in an infinite loop till a specific timeout or will it try to trigger for acquiring the license every 1 minute or so and then start running the workbench?This actually matters more because there is an AWS machine which turns on on a scheduled time and triggers the batch file on startup. The workbench starts running by itself. Any suggestions/ideas on this? If this is not possible, any alternatives other than FME server since it is the last approach that we will go for as of now. Thanks,Shivam

Hello, I have a dataset that looks similar to the image shown and I need to create the value in the attribute ROUTE shown in red. I need to create a new value for ROUTE whenever Duration>1 or Duration is Null. The data needs to be sorted firstly by Name, then by TimeStamp.Then, whenever the previously mentioned condition of (Duration>1 or Duration is Null) is met, a new value needs to be created for ROUTE. How do I create a new value (with for example a new sequential number) whenever I come across (Duration>1 or Duration is Null) in my sorted data?

Just a minute ago I did discover something I did not know yet: it is possible - to my surprise - that it is possible to retrieve a password stored in a User Parameter using a simple ParameterFetcher!Passwords stored in User Parameters are encrypted (see e.g. this post), but the ParameterFetcher just returns the decrypted password in plain text... :-(So everybody with access to a workspace with passwords and FME Workbench can just use this fetcher to retrieve all passwords.OK - maybe I have been a little naive... :-) But this is surely something to take into consideration.

What would be the most convenient technique for querying data stored on Azure Data Explorer (ADX) from FME Workbench? Should this be done via a HTTPCaller?

Is there a way to easily pull all of the SQL statements out of all of the SQLExecutors in a workspace? I have several automations that I need to do this for and some of them have hundreds of SQLExecutors in them.

Hello , i have geodatabase data as input ,it includes different points ,lines ,annotations . I would like to read this data in FME workbench and filter specific data from them for city then write the output again into new geodatabase writer .my problem : when I use spatial filter and use the specific city as filter and the geodatabase data as candidate .so the passed port include all data together and for sure not each input has the same attribute names as other .How could I write the output for my data (passed port ) into geodatabase format and each writer includes only his own data without any problem . 

Is there a way using a regular expression to split a string of text such as an address by a number of words/spaces? Or even more functional, split a line at the first space after a certain number of characters?

Hello everyone, I try to automate a monthly calculation of water deficit, based on monthly rainfall data. Each feature is characterized by a year (integer), a month (integer), and rainfalls (float). The calculation involves the water reserve at the end of each month ("final reserve"), based on rainfalls and number of rainy days.  My challenge is that I need to carry this quantity to the next month ("former reserve" of current month = "final reserve" of previous month). Easy to do in Excel, but I'm not sure if this is possible and how I should proceed in FME.  Is there a matter of "iterative calculation" here, since the data of each month depends on data of previous month ? Should I convert my "year " and "month" integer into date format ? Thank you in advance !Regards,Arnaud 

Hi, I'm running a simple workbench that converts a single dwg to GeoJSON. when I start the process normally in FME it works fine. But when I make a bat+tcl I see that the path to the dwg file changes and there is a "\\" missing between the folder (Linjedata) and the dwg file (T_E6SL_P00_f_C_E6-Profillinje.dwg) (AutoCAD Reader: Error opening file 'C:LinjedataT_E6SL_P00_f_C_E6-Profillinje.dwg' during version check) Is this something I can change in the tcl file? However, I got around this by putting the dwg file on C:, but then I only get a new folder with the same name as the dwg file with an empty file called "C" inside as the result, instead of a GeoJSON file. What I'm trying to achieve is just the same as when I start the workbench in FME, but run as a bat file.

While preparing this, I found shockingly little information on the specific parameters I could use to interact with some specific phone-app functionality. This ... was the most informative post, noting 'We are still working on our documentation.' two years ago. How do I make the app ask for a QR-code?Can I somehow consume a picture?I seem to be able to get the location of the device with a specially named text-parameter. Are there more of those? Please, give this app some tender love and care in the documentation. Give it a technical blog-post and some example workspaces one can upload to ones own server as a startingpoint.. Martin

I have a CAD layer of control points which have two labels around it. I'm trying to extract the neighboring labels and add them as attributes in the final geodatabase. I have tried using NeighborFinder but it captures the nearest label only. I have tried to use a Tester to differentiate between the two labels and then run NeighborFinder but it leads to multiple records. The red circled is the control point and orange circled are the labels.  How can I capture the attributes and have 5 points in the output rather than duplicating them? 

I'm using HTTP Caller for geocoding adresses, but somehow I'm getting randomly lot of 400 responses - e.g. 2 of 12 calls are succesfull. If I copy paste the URL from error log to browser I'll get the result correctly.I'll share the worspace template temporarily including the API key of Geoapify. I don't know why I'm getting 400 (bad request).
