I have a workflow where I use the schema port of a FeatureReader (format Geopackage) to check if the schema of the input gpkg is correct. This works fine for a single file, fme_feature_type_name provides the table name, and I have the list of attributes.However, if the input is more than one file, the schema is a 'global' schema combining the schemas for all input files, avoiding double tables. As a result I cannot check each file separately.I found out that using the FeatureReader with type Schema (any Format) gives on the generic port all tables as feature, with the attributes list, for all files. But here is the problem: when using Schema (any Format) on a geopackage, these tables as feature on the generic port do not expose the table name. I expected fme_feature_type_name, but this is not available in the output. fme_feature_type gives 'schema' as value.Is there any way I can get these table names ? Thanks,Marc 

Hi, I have a host feature layer on Portal 10.8.1 and want to use a date where query. Documentation from ESRI point to being able to use Intervals in the query but when I try to use in the Portal Feature Service reader the server returns a 400 error.  https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/api-rest/data-management/querying-feature-services-date-time-queries/ It appears you can only use a proportion of a day in the FME query. The help page FME desktop points you to from ESRI isn't exactly that informative. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/sql-agol.htm  Is this a Portal versus AGOL difference? This works:"created_date" >= CURRENT_TIMESTAMP() - 0.015 This doesn't:"created_date" >= CURRENT_TIMESTAMP - INTERVAL '15' MINUTE If anyone can point me to a definitive page with the documentation for where datetime queries for hosted Portal feature layers.... 😀  Thanks,Peter   

Hi FME community,I am still fairly new to FME. I'm getting stuck with date/time fields in csvs and excel documents. I've attached the field I'm trying to convert into DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM (%d/%m/%Y %h:%m ?), but it writes out empty if I try the DateConverter or AttributeManager> Text editor > DateTimeFormat. It's likely I'm using the transformers incorrectly. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction?

In the attribute manager, I would like to create a new field called ('Age') and calculate the attribute value from another field called 'Date of Birth'. This is within an automated process that will be run multiple times a month, so I need it to take the time that the process is run and use that for the age calculation. How can I do this? This is my attempt at this : (GETDATE() - @Value(Date of Birth)) / 365 (although there is no GETDATE function as far as i'm aware of.)  Thanks in advance!

Hi,I have a rail network, featuring multiple polylines. I need to snip 50m from the ends of each line.Using the Snipper transformer, I use the Distance (Value) mode. The Starting location is 50, the Ending Location is the length of the line -100 (accounting for the 50 already removed at the Starting Location... maybe?!).The results are mixed: A dead straight line has 50m removed from each end, this is what I want.Any other shape of line only removes the starting 50m, but NOT the end, as shown by the red "X" below. The blue lines indicate the Remnants.What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help please?

I have 15 .csv files with different names but the same fields and a total of 1406 records. They are in the same directory. I want to merge all 15 files together and append the source file name to each record. I've tried FilenamePartExtractor, FilePathExtractor, and FeatureReader but haven't been able to to get the desired result. I usually get back more records than I put in. Is there a straight forward method to append file name to each record?

I have 12 netCDF files downloaded from https://data.ceda.ac.uk/badc/ukmo-hadobs/data/insitu/MOHC/HadOBS/HadUK-Grid/v1.1.0.0/1km/tasmin/day/v20220310. Each contains 1km-1km grid values of the minimum temperature for each day of a specific month. I would like to create a single combined file that counts the number of days where the temperature was below zero. I've tried RasterExpressionEvaluator but I can't get it to generate anything sensible. Can anyone help please?

Hello,I'm working with FME Desktop 2015 with a WorkspaceRunner transformer calling several workspaces where i have to use an environment variable in the path of some private variables.For example: %ENVIRONVAR%\\dat\\myfile.txtThe problem is that the called workspaces don't recognize the value of the environment variable defined by the Windows System. I have tried to assign the value to the environment variable inside the workspace but it is not a good solution in this case because every PC could have a different value.Is there some example about to do solve this problem?Many thanks in advance!A.

Hi list.I got a curious error in a workspace, which I needed to update.I needed to update some schema references (from .../1/... to .../2/...) and thought that it was a good idea to create a private user text parameter, containing the "2" needing to be inserted.However, this yielded a strange error when applied to the root expression in my XMLTemplater. Something like this: "... can not expand namespace prefix to URI"Is it correct that XMLTemplater cannot use user parameters replacements ?And if so, why not ?Aren't these applied to whatever parameters a transformer may have, prior to its execution ?Cheers.

Imagine having a raster with transparent gaps (null) and wanting to fill these gaps with another dataset (presumably of lower resolution). If this second source is placed under the first the secondary data would "shine through" the gaps. This is how one would solve it in Photoshop, and I'm trying to figure out if the same solution is possible in FME. I have read all the SchemaMapper tutorials and implemented what I thought should work for a SchemaMapper and input mapping table, but the feature type in question here is not being mapped at all. I am hopelessly confused, hence the following explanation and question: I have a feature type Safety/Fire (i.e. fme_feature_type = feature_dataset/feature_class) that I want to split into three different feature types based on the value of the Type attribute. The values are FDC, Fire Alarm, and Fire Extinguisher. I also want to put the three new feature types into a different feature dataset, namely Life_Safety. Here is a screenshot of part of the mapping table I am using:  In the SchemaMapper I have set first a Filter Features action with SRC_FIELD = SRC_FIELD_VALUE indicated and with Ignore Blank Attribute Values set. Then I have a Map Feature Types action with SourceFeatureType --> TargetFeatureType indicated. Finally, I have a Map Attributes action with SRC_FIELD --> TargetAttr indic

Hello, I am pretty new to all of this, so I am not even sure in which category to post my question. I have created a small FME Workspace containing a Reprojector. Now I want to include this tool into a Python Script already containing different other functions, and it should be possible to select which data to transform as well as the coordinate systems used. I tried to use the FMEWorkspaceRunner(), but it is only possible to state the Source and Destination Dataset, not to use the FMEReprojector.setCoordinateSystems() funktion. The same goes for calling the workspace over the command prompt with fme.exe it only accepts parameters for source and destination. As the workspace contains some other elements as well I also want to use the existing workspace and not to create reader, writer and all fmeobjects in the python skript every time the function is called.

I am using AttributeManager to write a Conditional Statement. I was wondering what other Transformers can I use that allow for Conditional Statements? I can achieve what I want using AttributeManager, as shown here. But, I am looking for alternatives other than AttributeManager to help me hone my FME skills.

I was watching the  OpenAI GPT-3 seminar the other day and the presenters had some magic turned on that allowed them to inspect transformers without attaching the usual inspectors. See image for a better explanation of what I am after. How do I turn on this feature/s?

I have an address field with an address value of 1244 Deep Creek RoadI want to use the AttributeSplitter to separate this value in a List so it comes out like this List{0} = 1244List{1} = Deep CreekList{2} = Road My question:What delimiter do I need to use that would split the 1244 into a separate list, but keep the "Deep Creek" together in List{1}? (Note that there are other streets with two names, I use "Deep Creek" as an example)

I have a raster DTM with some erroneous transparent areas. I would like to fill these using average vales of the surrounding pixels, to keep everything nice and smooth. GRASS has the 'fill nulls' function that does this, does FME have anything similar?

Hi all,  I have an WFS from a vendor that contains several polygons and associated attribute information. When I attempt to read via the OGC WFS reader, I encounter an error: <WFS> An error occurred while reading a GetFeature response, to ignore the error and avoid losing the previously read features, set the WFS "Ignore GetFeature Error" parameter. Total features downloaded: '0'As instructed, I've attempted to modify this setting, but continue to receive this error even when I've set to ignore.  I've tried several iteration of different settings in the reader to attempt to resolve to no avail. I have noticed that if I enable the option to Disable XML Namespace Processing that I no longer receive the error, but I still do not get any returns -- perhaps there is some other setting I should investigate? I'm certain that this is specific to the reader as I am able to view returns from this WFS URL via httpCaller, Postman, and as a ArcGIS Online serv

Using ArcGIS Data Interop extension to build workbenches. We are connecting to an external database to write to and we are experiencing intermittent connection. When testing connection, when it fails we get a timeout error. Same when when we run the workbench. But then sometimes it will connect fine and run the workbench as expected. Anyone else experience this?
