Hi Community. I am putting together a workbench to upload specific (Plan) files to a SFTP and while I was there I thought I'd add in to download a list of existing files, match them against the options to upload and add/remove only what is necessary. So in summary:Get list of plans on network drive (file and path directory reader). Success!Filter plan name against spatial file (determines if plan is needed or not). Success!Download list of plans currently on the SFTP (FTP caller with SSH-Authentication). Success!Filter needed plan names against plan names already existing on SFTP. Success!Delete plan files from SFTP no longer needed (FTP caller with SSH-Authentication). Success!Upload plan files to SFTP that are needed (FTP caller with SSH-Authentication). No success yet. I'm happy to upload the template file I'm just not sure that will assist without the keys needed to access the SFTP (can't give these out). The creator/attribute manager are there for testing some of t

Hello, i have a list of files from an FTP server that I have read into a List. The last field in the list is the file name. The file name generally follows this format: "ProjectInfo_YYYYMMDD". YYYY is the four digit year, MM is the 2 digit month, and DD is the 2 digit day. I want to choose the one that matches today's date. I'm guessing this can be accomplished with the use of a user param or regular expression but I can't seem to find a reference on it. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi, I am writing to a Non spacial SQL Database, using a FeatureWriter.When INSERTing new rows in the table, a UniqueID is created by SQL database.Is there a way to retrieve that UniqueID after INSERT completed sucessfully ?I would need the UniqueID for the next step of my Workbench.I do a SQL Executor to select the last inserted row, it will work, but, if multiple rows are inserted simultaneously, there is a chance that I won't get the right UniqueID. Any Idea ?Thank you.

Is there a way to automatically set the datetime within a parameter and use it to fanout a dataset so that does not then create a folder for every minute the workspace was running.  I just want the initial date time the workspace was run. The default date time parameter is not really ideal for this as it defaults to midnight and requires user input. I'm hoping to not have to use a workspace runner. Using DateTimeNow seems to create multiple folders as the outputs are written.

Hi all, I'm using the AmazonAthenaConnector to query an Athena database.In the Translation Log I'm seeing:  "2023-03-10 09:04:27| 6.1| 0.0|INFORM|AmazonAthenaConnector: Query ran successfully. Run time: 5.225 seconds. Data scanned: 27694.09 kB" I'd like to use the info on the file size / Data scanned to do some cost calculation. 1: Is there a way to incorporate the output of the Translation Log as attributes in the workbench? Alternatively I guess I could load the .log file in a workbench and use that for the calculations... 2: I am wondering , can I run the main translation AND the .log file in the same workbench? (wait for the main translation to have finished so it can read in the log file and perform operations on that.)   

Morning all,I have points (A) at the intersections of streets/lines. Also I have points (B) scattered everywhere. I need to keep location points A at intersections but would like to bring attribute information from points B. Point A can get all other points around it and stacked at this location.

Hello. Using FME Server 2022. I have an issue monitoring our FTP. I want to monitor all subdirectories for changes. I keep getting an error where "/." is being appended to the "Path to Watch Directory" an infinite number of times. I get thousands of errors from the automation. Here is the error message:When I check into our ftp client logs, here is an example of the file path that FME Server creates: /upload/Directory/./././././././././././././. Why doesn't the trigger just detect and stop at the directories that exist?     

Hi,The listsearcher makes it possible to search in a list for a certain value on 1 Attribute.Is it possible to do this (without listexploder) to search in a list for values on different attributes?list example:_names{0}.LC = Arabic_names{0}.NA = Latin_names{0}.PN = true_names{1}.LC = Arabic_names{1}.NA = Arabic_names{1}.PN = true I want to search in names list where PN = true & NA <> Latin and get that indexback. In this case it would be 1If it's not possible in FME, how would I do this via python in FME then?

I have tested 7 different ways to download all WFS points within a geometry and all give an error using FME 2023.0 Tried the "Initiator OGC-Intersects Result", "Bounding Box OGC-Intersects",Tried settings a Filter<Filter><Within><PropertyName>Geometry</PropertyName> ... GML Polygon Data ... </Within><Filter> Filter Overlaps etc.Filter BBOX with and without namespace declarationsFilter Envelope Nothing seems to be the right settings. I am using an HTTPCaller to return some XML which I then want to turn into attributes. I can extract the Project fragment below using the XMLFragmenter (with Projects/Project in the Elements to Match parameter) but I haven't figured out how to directly extract the children into fragments or directly into attributes. Using Projects/Project/* doesn't work. For instance, I want to extract ProjectNumber and Status more directly into attributes. So far my solution has been to use a StringSearcher and SubstringExtractor to get each attribute. That's a tedious way to do it. How I can convert milliseconds (for example: 1663767945000) to %Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S ? I tried with a DataTimeConverter transformer but it doesn't detect the input format. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hello, new FME user here. I am modifying an existing script to download a CSV from an FTP site. I want this to trigger at the beginning of the process as shown in the diagram below. I want the newly downloaded CSV to feed into the CSV reader. How can I trigger the FTPCaller at the beginning of the script and how can I feed the new CSV file into the CSV reader? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you! 

In a SQLCreator, I want to return the records from a specific table, if a certain choice is made in a parameter. I have a published parameter "check_choice", that is a Choice Multiple Parameter.  In this example, I want to return table records from BUILT_UP_AREA_S if 'BUA_Road_RTY' is selected in the parameter. The database type is Microsoft SQL Server Non-Spatial (JDBC) in my SQLCreator. The statement below results in an error Incorrect syntax near ','.  What am I doing incorrectly in this statement?IF($(check_choice) LIKE "%BUA Road RTY%",SELECT * FROM dbo.[BUILT_UP_AREA_S]) 

Hi, the following problem: I want to update attributes of a shape file. To do this, I first read them in using a reader (regardless of whether it is a "shapefile reader" or a FeatureReader transformer), update them and then overwrite them using a writer. When I execute the Workbench step by step, everything works. If I run all steps at once, I get the error message SHAPEFILE writer: Shapefile writer: Failed to write to file '<pathToFile>\\Grid.dbf'. Please ensure that the file is not open by FME or another process, you have sufficient privileges to write this file, and that sufficient disk space is available. It looks like the reader is blocking the .dbf file. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

I am sending the FuzzyParrelLineFinder 3 features that are lines with 2 coordinates only (i.e. start and end points). The coordinates are identical. The lines are 64 m in length and I am using the parameters of: Sampling Distance = 1 and Search Distance = .30. The FuzzyParrelLineFinder is not identifying the lines as matching. Are there situations where the FuzzyParrelLineFinder doesn't work or have I miss-understood the parameters?

The Z-coordinates are not the same and varying. The points are located within a buffer of 0.1meter and extend over the entire area of the polyline. I have to join them based on a search area I think of 0.1 meters. The points are created from a las and transformed using the pointcloudtopointcourcer. As an example, I would like to have for this polyline which has 5 vertices 5 unique z-values from the closest points.

I have a highway line feature class and a highway distance markers point feature class with points created at 2km intervals along each highway line. I am being requested to create a rotation value to apply to each point on the line that is equal to the perpendicular angle on that line at each point. This angle value will then be used to apply label rotations to ensure each label comes out perpendicular to the line feature it is on.

Hi, has anyone had an issue with updating a non-spatial Oracle (19) table. The table has been registered in SDE, hence has OBJECTID also.There is no failure, but the record is not updated. If I use an SDE writer with update operation, it works fine, but takes over an hour for 300K records. I am using FME Desktop 2022.1Any ideas ?

I´m using a Chart Generator to create pie and bar charts, and I need to insert them into an email created with Emailer inside the proper HTML syntaxis.   I tried to write the charts into a png writer but I cannot link it to a parameter so it can be there.I also tried to set the image into a sharepoint (corporate) and use the url to link the image but it still do not work. Any thoughts?

I've got walls. dgn file. In the source dgn file, there are numerous lines that are utilized to form walls.I wanted to combine all these different lines into a straightforward wall. so I joined manually the outermost wall line to create a walls shape/polygon.In the attached sample file , source features and One straightforward wall feature is created in "merged wall" level/layer number 2(blue color) for ref. I just drew one simple polygon feature how the expected feature looks like. . Please, if someone can assist me.
