We are troubleshooting an issue getting FME 2024.0.2.2 to write to an ArcGIS SDE hosted in SQL 2019 on AWS. I want to download a PDF with the HTTP_Caller and then write it to a directory on the local computer.

I’m stringing together a bunch of HTTPCallers, each of which has several query string parameters. From what I can see, you are only able to see two parameters at a time in an HTTPCaller transformer (see screenshot). Is there a way to enlarge/expand the dialog box so I can see all or most of them at once? Should be easy; I feel like I’m missing something. It would be so much easier, helpful, and efficient so see all query string parameters at a glance. (FME Desktop 2023.2.0.0, Build 20231201).

I have an ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer containing point features that have attachments enabled. Could someone help me with some advice for how to use the ArcGIS Online feature reader that will allow me to access the features and their associated attachments (if there are any-not all features have an attachment)? It is easy enough to get the features, but I can't see a way to access the attachments. Thank you!

I have an export of an MS Whiteboard in pdf form. (I also have the JSON and HTML. The JSON doesn’t store the note contents).  PDF reader is spotting text, but I’m struggling to pull it out ‘per note’. Any ideas?

I am leaning how to do the engine management in FME Flow 2024 at the moment. I had setup 2 extra queues out of default queue, but I only create 1 active period for one of the queue. Then I found out all jobs within another queue were in “Queued” state. My questions are:Do I have to setup active period to cover all queues? When 1 queue was setup in active period, how does other queue(s) work? What the default behaviour in active period. When the jobs in “Queued” state, can I resume it to run rather than re-submit the job and delete the existing “Queued” job?Thanks,Henry from TfNSW 

I have a workspace that reads an excel spreadsheet that contains 20,000+ rows with file names and paths to DWG files which works 99.9% of the time.  The simplified process is as follows:Filter the list of files from the spreadsheet to remove certain filename patterns Read the dwg model space, but only keep lines that are on layers that starts with BND Test to see that they fit in a polygon using spatialfilter clean up attributers and write the results to shp fileFor some reason when it hits a certain file, the process stops when it hits an error (even it is set to continue on rejected feature and ignore failed readers is set to Yes.  I have attached a zip with the log file as well as a FFS file it create which contains a single line that doesn't appear to be anything unusual or unexpected.  My work-around for now is to skip the offending file by using the “features to read” settings on the reader.  Given that there are 20,000+ files, I tend to run 5000 at a time.

Hi all, how do I easiest update change the field type in a GDB?Esri Introduced the BigInteger, which is giving me a lot of issues. It dosn’t work in all applications, and I can’t even do a relate or join on it. I need to get it into a integer. For some reason the data we get delivered now on a weekly basis has all the number fields in BigInteger.I need it to find the BigInteger Fields, and change the type, without loosing data. The data also fits an normal integer.Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks  

Hi, I'm having an issue with a Microsoft Access Reader. I have a script that reads a query from Access. This query is a subquery of two other queries. Until now, the script has always worked, but now the query reader doesn't show anything.  

Morning All,  Has anyone else identified an issue with all SQL transformers when specifying the connection via either deployment parameter or database connection? When run on Form it operates correctly but when run via Flow (either scheduled or manually submitted) the following error is returned:  Error occurred while opening database reader with server type `MSSQL_ADO', server name `XXXXX', user name `', database name = `' : `Encryption Error: AES Decrypt finalization failed.' If the database connection is embedded into the transformers Flow is able to operate these transformers correctly, however this would then require each transformer to be reconfigured as we migrate between environments.  Thanks in advance, Paul.

Hi All,I have a folder of csv files with the naming convention like this : Insp1.csv, Obsv1.csv, Insp2.csv, Obsv2.csv etc etc.I have written a workbench to read in Insp1.csv and Obsv1.csv and derive the outputs i want. These csv files are pairs and both are needed to create the output. I have a folder of many InspX.csv and ObsvX.csv files that I want to process. I have set up a Directory and File Pathnames reader than I think I want to pass into a workspace runner that calls the workbench to process the files with parameters.  How to I get FME to iterate over my files and each time the runner is called iterate to the next pair of csv’s? ie first time is run use Insp1.csv and Obsv1.csv, the second time use Insp2.csv and Obsv2.cvs etc etcMany Thanks Goatboy

Hey everyone, I hope I am just missing a very obvious point here. I am trying to compare two SQL input data sourcesOne with these columnsAnd the other with these columns The customer and account number combination is going to be my primary key. I need to extract the email addresses of customers based on that combination. I have tried the feature merger which seemed to be the obvious solution, but I am not getting any matches?Any idea where I am going wrong? 

I have found that the feature reader will not accept point data as the initiator. I have since found that in Version 15 a change was made: -Spatial operations will reject initiator features with point geometries to match native reader behaviour.Does anyone know why this was changed and if there is a way to force it to accept points without having to create a very small buffer to it and then recreate the point after the feature reader.

Hi,I’m trying to put an URL in a table using the new DocumentPDFStyler and I can’t make it work.One of my issue is that the URL breaks because it doesn’t fit in the table box, also it doesn’t show up as an url. I tested many things to make it work: Image Link, add the pdf_url attribute (doesn’t work because this is the documentpdf writer),  put quotes around it.I’m trying to make this work without having to use the wkhtmltopdf 😅

Hello to the community,I successfully set up an fme flow automation with a final action to send out an smtp email via our email server. The connection to this email server with the “SMTP Account” is valid and successfully tested and mails were sent. But the “SMTP Account” is not setup to receive emails at all.When i try to change the parameter “Email From” in the “email send” action to a different mail address than the used “SMTP Account”, our mail server denies to send out the email as a different user.This is for security reasons.But i want the email recipients to be able to just reply to an incoming email without changing the mail address. Further I don’t want to place a hint in every mail that it is not possible to simply reply to this mail without changing the address.Is there another way to change the smtp header parameter “replyto” for the email send action in fme flow?Thank you very much for any help and hintsbest regardsJürgen

Hi, I’m struggling to tag a set of features with an ID, input data looks like the left case in this image:What I want is shown on the right. My input has a line of data with the ID, and it’s implied each record after that has that ID, until a record resets the ID for the subsequent features. Here’s a very similar example but differs from mine in that my ID is on a separate line: It seems like a Python caller might work, but I’m not very handy with Python & FME. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!

The AttributeValidator fails nulls when validating for various types.  Most of the time I would like it to pass nulls.The obvious work-around is using the NullAttributeMapper to map nulls to some acceptable value for the validation but:a) this is a pain because you have to do it for all attributes you want to checkb) you have to change these values back to null afterwards so as to not send spurious data to the writerAny more elegant way to do this?Perhaps a custom transformer to do the work-around and the AttributeValidator within?Or should this be an “Idea” for the AttributeValidator, i.e. Option: pass nulls?

Hello. I'm trying to host FME Server under AWS's Application Load Balancer (ALB). A SSL certification (which is provided by AWS) is attached to the ALB and ALB listens to 443 port.The EC2 insance runs FME web application on the standard HTTP port (80). Let's say the domain I host FME Server is mysite.com.When I open https://mysite.com , the browser redirects to http://mysite.com/fmeserver/ (port 80) instead of https://mysite.com/fmeserver/ . How can I configure FME Server web application to redirect to https ? EDIT:I'm using Ubuntu 20.04.FME Server installer is https://downloads.safe.com/fme/2022/fme-server-2022.1.2-b22627-linux-x64~ubuntu.20.04.run

Hello:)This is incredibly petty, but as someone who lives in a country where “Commonwealth English” is the standard for spelling (and not the Simplified English of North America), I wondered if there’s a switch in the UI somewhere so that menu items and transformers are spelled correctly (correctly for me). For example: the NeighbourFinder, which, as is pointed out in the docs, is an alias of the NeighborFinder. I’m waging my own campaign against the normalisation of N.Am. English in software across the English-speaking world.
