I’m using FME 2024 without any issues related to fanout. However, after installing the 2025 version, I’m facing a problem where the fanout is not working as expected. This seems to be a software bug.I am using a Creator to write shapefiles with folder fanout. Based on an attribute value, the data should be written into separate folders. But currently, it is writing only to one folder ("Low"), while the other two folders ("Medium" and "High") remain empty. Attached test1 fmw file.The Shapefile Writer is skipping features and showing the following warning message:“Shapefile writer: Ignoring feature with unexpected feature type 'High_priority_data'... Last line repeated 19 times ...”In FME 2024, this workflow works perfectly and writes to all the folders as expected. I believe others may also be experiencing the same issue in the 2025 version.

Recently upgraded a dev environment to FME Flow 2025.1.1We have some workspaces that use FileCopyWriters to move files.These workspaces still run on FME 2025 but now throw out a warning message for each fileThe move request details the correct move, but then there is a failed to delete message that appears to be saying it can’t delete from the destination not the source. The files are in fact deleted from the source, so it’s actually all working as it should be and as it did previously with the exception of these warning messages. I note that the FileCopyWriter now has a delete option so wonder if this is related somehow. Can anyone confirm they see the same behaviour in 2025.1.1.  The same warning error messages is seen in FME Form 2025.1

Hello fellow FME enthousiasts, We have been running into an issue when using the new Esri ArcGIS Feature Service [Writer] (from the new Esri ArcGIS Connector v3.13.2 package) to write to a Hosted Feature Layer on ArcGIS Online. The Hosted feature layer is created by Survey 123.Previously we used the old Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Feature Service [Writer], since this won't be supported anymore in 2026 we started experimenting with the new one. When we try to update the hosted Feature layer with FME using the old one, all goes well, data gets written as expected and the geometry is visible.But when using the new one from the package we get a few warnings and no error's. The process tells us it's succesfull, we see the new records appearing in AGOL and the attributes seems to be as expected. The geometry is not visible either. When we try to zoom to a record nothing happens. When i open the layer in ArcGIS Pro nothing happens either when i try to zoom to layer/or zoom to selection. It's li

Hi, I’m working on a script which copies data from an Esri arcsde geodatabase to a postgis database. I need to know if the table in the arcsde geodatabase is versioned before I run the rest of the script, and I have a pythoncaller which runs something like this (simplified here):layername = "schema.layerName"connectionFile = "path_to_connection_file"arcpy.env.workspace = connectionFiledesc = arcpy.Describe(layername)isVer = desc.isversionedfeature.setAttribute("versioned",isVer) self.pyoutput(feature)Now, I don’t want to type in the path to the connection file manually, but rather obtain it by some function which can collect the data from the list of database connections I entered in the settings. Is this possible? Goodmorning!  I have an FME Flow workspace app, and it won't run. It has worked for about a week, and after that it stopped working. The problem is, according to the logs, the AttributeFileWriter. It just says, rejected, nothing more. We believe its the string we use to dynamically choose the output location of the photo's. See attached picture. This is the string: $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/@Value(Jaar)\@Value(IncidentNummer) @Value(Dag)-@Value(Maand)-@Value(Jaar) @Value(Plaatsnaam)\@Value(IncidentBijlageId).jpgThe strings works just fine in FME Form, but, not anymore on FME Flow. This string has worked before on Flow, but stopped working for some reason. We did look into it, but could not find a solution to this. Can anyone explain this? Thank you!  

Goodmorning! I want to write a dataset with the postgis writer to GeoServer, but the result gives errors.  Process: A reader of municipal boundaries, and a reader with fire hydrants, the fire hydrants gets clipped on the boundaries layer, and then i want to write it to Geoserver. The postGIS writer says its succesfull, but when i inspect the layer in QGIS, there is no data, and i get the error: there is no item in geometry_colums. What have i done wrong in the postGIS writer? Can anyone help me?  Thanks in advance! 

I'm trying to setup the children and parents list attribute for export to CityJSON. Therefore I thought to use the listbuilder, but I get a different result than it should be. This example is how it should be: And this one is my result. It looks like there is an extra layer in it.How can I solve this?

My response coming back from the DV endpoint is different to the order of key value pairs in my JSON templater, why is this?  Is this expected? i.e we have no control?  

Hi, I have a list of 100+ WMS services our company is using in a plugin for QGIS. I’d like to publish these to our enterprise portal, and I thought the ArcGISOnlineConnector seemed like the right choice, due to it haven the setting:Action: UploadURL : WMS URL https://***.net/geoserver/dai/wms?service=WMS&request=GetCapabilities&version=1.3.0 URL Item Type: WMS ?  My error is :ERROR |Message Type: fme::internal::_v0::py::ExceptionERROR |Python Exception <TypeError>: expected str, bytes or os.PathLike object, not NoneTypeERROR |Error encountered while calling method `input'FATAL |ArcGISOnlineConnector_CALLER (PythonFactory): PythonFactory failed to process feature What have I misunderstood ? Use timezone-aware objects to represent datetimes in UTC: datetime.datetime.fromtimestamp(timestamp, datetime.UTC).The FME 2025 Change Log shows this entry:It only mentions the Reader. Would it be possible to know if that deprecation was solved for the Writer, too?Thanks!

Hello, I am attempting to copy an ArcGIS Server Feature Service from our Production portal to our Staging portal as a test migration using ArcGIS Data Interoperability (FME). The migration runs successfully, and the layer is created on the destination portal with all point features appearing correctly. However, every attribute field in the destination portal is empty for the layer.For this workflow, I used: Reader: Esri ArcGIS Server Feature Service Writer: Esri ArcGIS Portal Feature Service The strange part is that when I inspect the data immediately before the writer, all attribute values are present and correct in the Visual Preview. But once the writer publishes the layer to the portal, the attributes do not appear, only the geometry is transferred.Could you please help identify what might be causing the attribute values to be lost during the migration?

I have a job that downloads 7 text files from an FTP directory, and for the last 3 days, 6/7 files have downloaded but 1 always fails (the same one each time) with the error: Number of redirects hit maximum amountI am aware of the post below, but as no similar setting exists on the FTP caller, I’m lost. I can upload fine, and manually downloading the files by logging into the FTP site, or using a WinSCP script also works. The file that failed today was empty (0MB), but so are some of the other files it downloads, and yesterdays file had records and still failed. Empty files are not uncommon for this job, and it has never presented an issue before. This has started occurring since upgrading to 2025.1.3 from 2022, and occurs on both FME Flow and Form. This error has so far not appeared in any other workspaces that use FTP callers, even for multiple file downloads at once. I’m leaning toward this being an issue with the file, rather than the FTP, but I cannot see a problem with the file t

Maybe someone has experienced this before, i have been trying to make an workspace App in fme FLOW 2023, the goal is to make an app where the user can choose the source file. I have tried creating the App but it does not allow the user to choose the file location.does someone have an idea what i may be missing out? I am using the FME PATH reader. Thanks,Keller.

Hi guys,how can i handle to read in Excel sheets (with other column names from time to time) and have the possibility to choose from a schema (xls) the right attribute names for the workflow…..Parameters on the reader?I’ve tried the Attributemanager and import a excel file...but the names from the excel sheet are only added to the default output attribute names a dropdown list on the Output Attribute name would be great……..any help to handle it or a link to another articleGreetz and thanksFranco

Hello, I’m starting my journey with Webhooking and of course I am already running into problems. So I have Enterprise 11.3 and Flow 2024.1 and no hosting enabled on Enterprise.So my workflow is fairly simple, I have created the following Webhook on our server: For the following service:Which then calls the very simple automatation on our Flow where any creation, updating or deleting in the dataset in the FeatureService (remember this service is referenced and not hosted) should kick of a single workspace and thats the end.However doing anything in that FeatureService, be it creating, updating or deleting does not kick of my automation. I have checked if Flow and Enterprise are speaking well together and it seems to be so as when I originally create the Webhook then the same automation kicks off with great results (its not a organisational webhook), just not when I then start to do stuff in the dataset itself. I have also made sure that the dataset in the FeatureService that originates

I'm having a set of polygons and for every polygon a raster with height values. I'm combining them in the TIN generator to create TIN's for every polygon. Now I see a big difference in behaviour of the TIN generator, depending on the amount of polygons I'm sending to it. For example: when I use one single polygon as input, as a result I get a TIN with 234 triangles.If I use 459 polygons as input and proces them individually by using Group processing, the result of the same polygon is a TIN with 3602 triangles. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to prevent it?

I have an FME job which is based on the JobFailureNotify example provided by this article below, where I have an automation that triggers on a job failing and then runs this workspace to email me some details from the JSON it provides.Send Email Notification on Failed or Cancelled Jobs – FME Support CenterI’m using 2025.1 and apiv4. When I try to test it in FME Flow, I get the following error. It’s like FME Flow cannot handle the URL in the HTTPCaller to have ‘/log’ after an attribute value.My request URL is: https://<MYSERVERURL>/fmeapiv4/jobs/@Value(jobID)/log (where <MYSERVERURL> is my FME Flow URL).If I manually type in a job ID, the URL works. It only fails when the job ID is an attribute value. I have tried concatenating the entire URL into a new attribute and using that as the request URL, but that did the same thing. This is the first time I have tried setting up an Automation in Flow by monitoring for a new file.I have a simple workspace that is unzipping a zip file and updating a database with it’s contents. Just upgraded from 2022 to the latest version for Flow and Form. Whenever I publish a workbench the publication works then shortly after the log gets the message “The web connection 'FME Account' could not be loaded”We don’t have a Web connection “FME Account “ and the task has completed anyway. Any ideas where this is coming from?  

There are situations when I want a variable or parameter to determine whether a certain process is run or not. I could add the variable as an attribute to each feature and then test for the value of the variable. But that way the variable controls the process for each feature, when I already know that I don't want put any of the features through the process. And it feels like creating an unneccesary amount of extra data (even though temporarily), which I have to remove later on.I've come across this before, and now I have a case where I want to run part of my workspace once a week and another part every day. (An alternative is to distribute the processes across separate workspaces, of course.)What I'm thinking of is functionality like the feature reader has: it only reads features when triggered by an initiator. But I can't think of a way to do this with other transformers.Does anyone know of a way to achieve this in FME Workbench / Form?

Hi,I recently upgraded from 2025.1.1.0 b25615 to 2025.1.3.2 b25646 and noticed that whenever I open a .fmw file, a new folder, “.sentry-fme” is created in the same directory.When I started FME from my desktop shortcut, a “.sentry-fme” folder was created on my desktop once the program was up and running.Could we get this fixed? I’d rather not bloat my directories with temporary files if I can help it. I’ve since downgraded back to 2025.1.1.0.Thanks,
