+1Currently I am moving from FME 2018 to FME 2022, but during the FME Desktop Advanced trailhead training it says that some transformers only have cosmetic changes. I want to know what the main, commonly used transformers which I can advise my team to always upgrade in their workbenches.

Generally, you don't need to upgrade transformers. That is of course, unless you read the "Show Changes" and see that the version notes suggests performance gains.
In my experience, any 'Spatial%' transformer that does overlay, filter, clipper or spatial analysis performs better in newer versions. The statisticsCalculator

+31There were a significant number of transformers that saw bulk mode capability added between 2018 and 2022.
