Hi, I get warnings when running some automations in FME Flow. Running just the workspaces manually does not give these warnings and all data is written as expected in both cases. Any ideas for what is causing these to appear? I saw recently that in FME Form 2024.1 dynamic scripted parameters have been introduced. While I was excited to see this new feature, I was curious if these parameters work the same when published to FME Flow?I searched the FME Flow documentation, but was unable to find further information regarding this. Hello, i have a problem with the stringconcatenator. i would like to combine several values of text attributes with the stringconcatenator as a new attribute. the values should be separated by a comma, empty attributes should be ignored and there must be no comma at the end. how can this be achieved? I always get two or more comms if the attribute is emtpy. Thanks a lot.

I  have an “Extras” attribute that is XML-like with different number of attributes in different order within the attribute value.. When I use the , XMLXQueryExtractor* and configure a  query, it only returns rows that has one tag only called <PAGE_TITLE>, like below.  The query returns this query result in the list attribute. Hi All, I am trying to reproject some .e57 files containing LiDAR scans and oriented imagery collected with a terrestrial scanner. Reprojecting the point cloud is straightforward, but I am having some trouble with the imagery.I can see in the Feature Information window that the image locations seems to be stored in the e57_translation_x, y, and z Geometry Traits (Geometry->Raster->Geometry Traits), here’s a screenshot from Data Inspector:I’m working from a local coordinate system, hence the low translation values.My goal (I think) is to extract these translation values, reproject them in the same way I’m reprojecting the point cloud, and then write the new values back in to these traits, but I’m not sure how to access these trait values, and was wondering if anyone had experience with this. Thanks for looking!

I'm trying to build a service catalogue of our municipality's services (WMS and WFS) for easy search and access. I have successfully used xml readers and httpcaller along with xml flatteners to extract the information into a queryable json table and presenting it with datatables (https://datatables.net/ ). Very handy and fast. But now I've run into some trouble that I can't really understand or work around. Getting the info from well over 600 services has been easy but the last one I added does not work. See attatched workspace. "TK OPEN" works just fine. "Miljö" does not. It seems to be related to XML and HTTPS, but that really isn't my strongest field. getcapabilities.fmwAm I doing something wrong? Is there, perhaps, a simpler or other way to do this?

Hello Friends!My current setup: FME(R) 2024.0.1.0 (20240328 - Build 24202 - WIN64) ...from ArcGIS Pro Data Interoperability Extension I am attempting to use the GeoJSON Reader to capture information from api.weather.gov/alerts/active (Weather.gov API).  I am not having any problems getting data.  The problem I am having is populating all of the available fields within the API - in case I ever do get them from the API.  The first time I connected to the URL from the Reader, I got most of the attributes, missing maybe 10 fields.  Adding another GeoJSON Reader and connecting to the URL an hour later, I get a different set of attributes.  I do understand that the data is changing and their API is not delivering any unnecessary nested attributes.When opening the Reader’s Properties and then User Attributes - there is no way to add attributes.  Am I missing something?  Is there another way to add attributes?Thank you,--Adam

I want to convert the format of a date-attribute from %Y%m%d to %Y-%m-%d by using the DateTimeConverter. This works fine, as long as there are no Null-values. As soon as there is just one Null-value, all other values are set to Null as well (even though the option “Passthrough Nulls, Empties or Missing” is set to Yes).I tried to filter out the features with the Null-values, convert just the features with values and merge all features after the DateTimeConverter again, but here too, all attributes are set to Null.If I set the Null-values to a dummy-date, then it works. But I don't want dummy-dates, but Null-values, so how do I do this?Thanks in advance, Vera

Hi, I try to upload a file to the FME Flow Shared Resource Folder via the Flow REST API. When I use Postman the request works as expected but I need to send the request in a command prompt with curl. Of course, first I tried to use the curl that can be generated in Postman but it always returns the error “curl: (26) Failed to open/read local data from file/application.  Here are the paramters for the working upload in Postman:POST https://fmeflow/fmerest/v3/resources/connections/FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA/filesys/Test Headers Authorization: fmetoken token=1234 Body (form-data) file: test_upload.txt Postman generates the following curl:curl --location 'https://fmeflow/fmerest/v3/resources/connections/FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA/filesys/Test' --header 'Authorization: fmetoken token=1234' --form 'file=@"/C:/Users/e059231a/Downloads/test_upload.txt"' I already tried to remove the quotes from the filename and to replace the slashes with double backslashes but still get the mentioned error.

Hi all.Today I needed to build a custom Python based transformer from scratch, after a two year hiatus, and needed to explore some new things in the FMX file part.So as always I opened https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/p/documentationBut apart from the Format GUI Type documentation, I can only find a new “.fmxj” documentation, but not the proper FMX file ditto. And fmxj looks nothing like FMX, it seems.Why has this crucial piece of documentation been removed ?Can I find it somewhere else ?Cheers

According to several solved questions in this forum, there are two recommended ways to automatically remove attributes that only conatain NULL or empty values: using a small python script or using the NullAttributeMapper. Unfortunately both suggestions do not work for me (FME Desktop/Form 2022.2). Both the PythonCaller and the NullAttributeMapper keep the Null-Attributes and they are present when I write to Excel (see attached workspace). Is there something wrong in my workflow or is there an updated solution? Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi,I have a deployment parameter (Text) that is pointing to an SDE file on FME flow in my shared resources. When I try to set a local value in form, it ignores this value and throws an error saying it can’t access the share resources file path. I’ve tried creating a deployment parameter that is  type: database connection, but this doesn’t work either. Here’s the error:This was working a week ago and now it refuses to acknowledge the local value. Many thanks, Sam

Hello, I am using FME 2022.2 and I’m trying to load in Raster data, based on an Area of Interest (AOI), specified by the end-user in FME Server (yes my organization is not using FME Flow yet, but the old FME Server). We have a few big Raster datasets on a local drive (of the entire Netherlands), which are loaded in as regular Readers. Then, using a Creator and GeometryReplacer, the end-user can specify an AOI (using a User Parameter), and the Rasters are then clipped in the Workspace using a Clipper. However, this means that the big Raster datasets need to be loaded/processed every single time the Workspace is ran, which is bad for performance. What I want, is that the Raster data is loaded into the Workspace, but only the data which intersects the AOI, specified by the end-user. I tried using a FeatureReader and use the AOI from the end-user as trigger to load in the Raster data. However, for some reason, the entire Raster dataset is loaded every time, instead of only the Raster data

Hi allI am looking for suggestions as to if FME Flow can automatically send text messages out to members of the public.  The scenario is as follows:-The day before a collection is due, FME runs an automation which finds all registered users who have signed up for notifications and live within the collection zone, and then sends a text message out to them to remind them of the collection.Any ideas if this is possible…ThanksAndy

In a fault-tolerant installation, the primary <coreHost> should always be specified. Do not specify the failover host.Here we are not very clear. We have two FME Flow Cores.first, how do we know which one is supposed to be the primary or the failover host between two Cores?Secondly, if say that the first Core to start can be considered the primary, what happens to the engines on a Separate Engine if the primary Core is down?Can anyone give us some helps on this?Thanks,-John
