I need to write datetime to a comment on a SQL table after my postgres SQL writer is complete.This can easily be done like when using a featureWriter like so:COMMENT ON SCHEMA "my schema" IS '@DateTimeFormat(@DateTimeNow(), %Y-%m-%d %H:%M)';This is not possible if i use a regular postgres writer. Only SQL functions are available. This alone is not enough to set a timestamp.Tiny but frustrating neuance between almost identical transformer/writers. What other ways can i inject a datetime into my comment on schema syntax?

Hi all, I am currently using a Dissolver with Attribute Accumulation > Accumulation Mode set to ‘Use Attributes From One Feature’.How does FME decide which feature's attributes are used? I have created an FME Server App. Is it possible to provide permission for another user to edit the App?I have granted full permission to Create Apps and also to the specific App to my other user but I get this error message when the user tries to edit the App:This Server App is owned by "admin". Only the owner or a user who can manage FME Server security permissions can edit this App.This seems to be highly restrictive.

Context: Feature Type with a WHERE clausePurpose: To only read records relating to a user defined Iwi (Maori Tribe).When the WHERE Clause is, for example: "IWI"='Whakatōhea', the transaction is successful and returns the expected records. However, when the WHERE Clause is set with a User Parameter "IWI"='$(IWI)'and the User Parameter is set with the value Whakatōhea, the transaction is successful but no records are found.This behavior is only affecting records with macronated vowels, which is common in Maori language.  Users need to be able to input their Iwi of interest for this workbench.Can anyone suggest where the WHERE clause setup might fail?Many thanks

Hi,I have a workspace that reads a shapefile. My workspace has around 450 transformers. I defined published parameters for the user to insert the row quantities of the shapefile.How can I automatically get the number of features from my file and save it in a published parameter to use in the middle of my workspace, simulating the values inserted by the user? 

Hello,I have a flow automation set up to send out email with attachment(s) from a workspace. The output from the workspace include files: f1.xlsx, f2.kmz, and some parameter (e.g. ‘kmzneeded’ with value Yes/No).The email will always send f1.xlsx, but depends on whether or not user draw on the map, then f2.kmz need to be attached. Right now, I configured to include the two file path in server in the email attachment ("$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP)/F1.xlsx" "$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP)/F2.kmz"), so it always emails two files (with incorrect kmz from previously run). Can anyone please help point me a direction how to handle this? Any information is appreciated. 🙏

I have a whopping great big table in my workbench with 2100 attribute fields in it! 😯The data originates from JSON files, and I need to write it into several csv files.The csv files need to pick up the schemas of tables in an Oracle db. These tables have a couple of hundred attribute fields / columns in, so many of my attribute fields will be dropped from the massive table in the workbench when creating the csv. This is good!The Oracle tables do not feature in the workbench at all, so I just need to grab the schema of the existing tables, bring them into the workbench, and use them in the csv writers.I’ve tried to use Schema Scanner, and Schema Mapper but with no luck. I am sure the answer must be really simple and I am doing something wrong.Any help will be much appreciated.Stuart

Is there a way to turn on logging of the SQL statements that FME is issuing to Oracle in Workbench 2014?

Hi, this must be easy but can't seem to find it...I want to convert duration from seconds to hours, minutes, seconds. So 337759 seconds should be 93h49m19s.I thought the DateTimeConverter should help me, but can't seem to get it right:results in 21h49m19s...I could calculate it myself, but I guess I'm overlooking a setting in this transformer?

Hi, I have something I can’t find my way around in.We have a whole lot of Revit files. At the end we need them at ArcGIS Online as room Polygons and ghosted facades.I created a flow, that worked on the first file, but after that some works, some don’t and I can’t see the difference.I’ve testet and added the files in ArcGIS Pro and defined the correct coordinate system, and they are all placed correctly, using the exact same method, but using FME only some are placed correctly.I’m using a Feature reader using the Danish Coordinate system ESPG 4095, since that’s what have been added to the Revit file, and I’m using a feature writer using the same coordinate system.I was playing around with the Coordinate system to read, it’s not helping me at all, and why should that make any difference when it pops in perfectly in ArcGIS PRO. I hope one can help me understand this.Thanks

I am writing a workflow that refreshes data within a hosted AGOL feature service.To enable continuity of service, I have 2 hosted feature services for the same layer.  eg.  Playgrounds_A and Playgrounds_B.    There is a view defined called Playgrounds_View whose source is either Playgrounds_A or Playgrounds_B My workspace plan is to refresh the contents of the ‘non-active’  feature service, and then set the Playgrounds_View to point to it.I have managed this previously with Python for ArcGIS scripts using commands like item.add_relationship() and item.delete_relationship()How can I recreate this functionality in FME workbench ?

Hello everybody! some weeks ago I asked for help with our project: calculate the distance to all schools in the city having as input one address. (Server App - calculate shortest route to several schools | Community (safe.com)) I have done it using FME Desktop (2022.2) and the result looks pretty nice:In addition I get the shortest paths to each school (each school has more than one entry).Now I have uploaded the GDB with the streets and the Shapefile with the school entries to the FME Server Ressources.I have created a server app (workspace) and run the project.There I receive this error:2024-9-30 09:01:48 | Unable to perform any licensing related tasks. Hello,For the logged known issue in FME Form “FMEENGINE-82549” with “Excel Writer: Field Names row not written” the solution described is to Set the Row Height to 0 on the Feature Type, as discussed here. But what are the steps to do that?  Is it to simply just use transformer “ExcelStyler” and use setttings for “apply style to”?  Thanks!

Is there a solution to correctly read sharepoint list attributes that are multi-select columns?When reading a sharepoint list with relevant permissions to read,write etc. the data table returned shows only <NULL> values for any column that has multi-selection enabled - adjacent columns with single select settings that hold the same data type (username) are returning the expected values - only the column settings differ.[Note the column setting for allow selection of {people only / people and groups} may also play a part in this question]The column that is returning NULL only has settings as below: List columns that return the expected values have settings: 

I was able to do a cumulative count of duplicate values (where duplicate is “-1” only) using a Group By on a Counter transformer shown below. (Added note: I should have added this to remove ambiguity - SORRY. The output as shown below in the Preview is the desired output. I only care to know the number of consecutive sequential values when the value is “-1”. If the pattern changes and another series of duplicate “-1” appears, the count starts with “1” again. I don’t care if the pattern for duplicate values are greater than “0”, like “2420” on the Preview.)  Since I have more than a dozen of these attributes, I’d like to use an AttributeCreator instead but I can’t seem to use the CurrentAttribute() to accumulate duplicate values.In addition, everytime a sequence of “-1”s begin (as shown in row 143 above), count starts at 1 again.Any suggestions?

I have data stored in a SQL server database in a native geomtry type format. I would need to migrate this data to a postgis database and store the data using simple geometry (point, lines and polygons instead of the generic geometry datatype).I have seen options how to modify the destination schema. Is there a somewhat simple way to do this without creating the destination tables beforehand?
