Out of curiosity, does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of jobs which can be queued on FME Server/Flow?

I am having a problem with the counter transformer in multiple workbenches on multiple machines: It ofthen does not start at the set value (ussually 0 or 1). For instance; The counter in the image is set to start at 0. However: When I run the workbench it starts at 577. I have no clue at al why it does that.  When I use featurecaching and I run the whole workbench one by one transformer it will start at 0. But ONLY when I manually start every single transformer before the counter. I have this on this machine and another computer in completely different workbenches. I use the counter to merge features. the workbench stops because it can not merge features based on wrong counts.  

I would like to know the name of the localization language file for FME FORM 2024. I know that the localization language file for FME Desktop 2020 is named transformers-localized.* (for example, transformers-localized.zh). I want to know if the new version has changed the name of this file.

Hi everyone, I have an Excel file containing SQL WHERE clauses used as Definition Queries in an ArcGIS project and I want to use the same SQL WHERE clauses in my workspace to create subsets of my data. Is there a way to "convert" these SQL clauses to Tester test clauses? I managed to do a lot with some StringReplacers, to the point where regular (att1= 'this') and list clauses (att2 IN ('this', 'that')) are covered, but I also have a lot of LIKE clauses (att3 LIKE 'th%') and I can't seem to get these translated to Tester's Begins With .  I know about the capabilities of the FeatureReader's Constraints, but in my analysis I need both the entire dataset I am querying AND the SQL-clause-derived-subset. And I want to prevent reading in the data twice, since that slows down my workspace a lot. Thanks in advance everyone!

Hi,I’m massively confused on why certain machines in our office cannot connect to our Floating License Server. We previously had 2 floating licenses (esri edition) and bought a third seat; we then consolidated all three licenses under one Smallworld line item according to this article. To test, I opened FME on one machine, redirect the licensing assistant to use the new smallworld licenses, and everything works great. When I test on another machine however, I can’t connect (previously could). In the error diagnostics, FME is saying that it can see the FME Licensing Server correctly over the server and port information I provide, but won’t connect. II read from a FGDB do some processing then I want to write back (update) to a field in the same FGDB.  I have a FeatureHolder immediately  after reading the FGDB to force complete reading before writing.  The Where clause  make sure I only update records with matching PremiseIDs (original source data and stream data).  I only want to update one field but I don’t see how to specify that field in the FeatureWriter.  In a AttributeManager before the writer I remove all other attributes than the one I want written.  Not working.

Hello there,I got 3 tables. There is one table with polygones (A) and two with lines (B and C).The lines in table B are going through my polygones. With the LineOnAreaOverlayer I cut the polyonges (A) in two. Now I need to know which part of the cuttet polyone is further away from my lines out of table C (in a max distance around the lines in C from ± 10 meters).For each cuttet polygone couple I need the furthes away one from the lines out of C.So along my C Lines are a lot of cutted polygone pairs. For each pair I need just the polygone which is further away.Any ideas?I tried the NeighborFinder alrdy, but dont geht my result. Thanks a lot!!!

I am having a unique issue where I cannot write out the date 19700101000000 (01/01/1970) to my ‘Date’ data type fields in an Esri sde feature class. How do I fix this problem? When I want to write out 19700101000000 to one of these fields, the writer runs successfully and I get the success message but then when I read the data back into FME or I check my attribute table in ArcGIS Pro the field shows up as 18991230000000 (12/30/1899). The date is formatted correctly. I can write out other dates no problem. I can write out 19700101000001 and 19710101000000 no problem. I just can’t write out 19700101000000. I can open the attribute table in ArcGIS Pro and manually enter the date as ‘1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM’ (from the calendar/time picker) and the table will accept it. I can also use calculate field and input '1970-01-01 00:00:00' (python format) and the table will update correctly. I have tried using AttributeManager and DateTimeConverter to make sure the date is formatted correctly and the

But what is I don’t know the list of all attributes? I don’t know what exactly will be uploaded by other people to S3 bucket, I just need to read the file.  Could you help, please, to identify the correct settings of FeatureReader or another way to extract data?

Hi,I’m trying to make an Automation App that ends with a workspace that streams a html writer. The workspace will stream the html writer if I make it a Workspace App so the worspace works as intendet.  When I put the workspace in the end of the automation and make this a Automation App the workspace is executede and writes its html but the html is not returned/streamed to the user in the web browser!? What to do? 

Hi,We have recently upgraded from FME Server 2020 to FME Flow 2024.I have an Automation with a “Ressource or Network Directory (updated)” trigger watching a folder on the network. The automation was working before upgrading, but now it says “Invalid path to watch:”What’s strange is that I created a workspace with a PATH reader pointing to the same network (UNC) path, and it’s able to read and log all the files in the folder I want to watch. I’ve also tried reading a file in that directory using a textfile reader, and it works.I don’t understand why FME Flow can read the files in that directory on the network using a workspace, but the automation can’t. If you have any ideas/explanations or possible solutions.The user account that runs the FME Flow Core service has read and write permission on that directory.Thank you in advance

I have a workspace that sends data to a url through the HTTP Caller transformer. I want to terminate the workspace if a NULL value exists in a field that is in a table on a SQL database before the data is sent. What is the best way to do this? Do I still need the Creator transformer if I use a Tester? 

I have a table where I have emergency meeting points. Each building has a meeting point, some buildings have many points, here is an example:Building Meet_Points 123 11,12,13 124 16  I would like the table to look like this:Building Meet_Points 123 11 123 12 123 13 124 16  How would I separate those meet points, and make numerous rows of the same building that has each meet point and all the other attributes carry over to the newly made rows and are the same?

Good morning all - hoping that you can help me; I’ve got a fairly lengthy workbench which we run daily updating our internal data warehouse from a variety of sources. due to the complexisty, there are several no features testers included in the workbench which continue the translation when no data feeds in at certain points. However, there are certain instances where we would want the translation to stop (no new source file available, source system not ready for update etc.). We currently use terminators in order to stop the subsequent no features testers from triggering - however it would make it easier for us to keep on top of our monitoring if this didn’t then appear as a failed job in our server log - is there any alternative way of stopping the translation without it appearing as a fail?

I’ve seen that FME 2023.2 Build 23764) doesn’t recognise ArcGIS Pro 3.3 for access to Esri licenses. Will this be resolved in 2024.1? I haven’t tested 2024.0 as I’m waiting on the .1 release

I’m  combining lines based on end noded while keeping some attributes in a list for each original lines (1). Then I create a new attribute based on the lists (2) with conditions based on numbers in the lists (3).    I would like to set up the condition statement dynamically: the number of lists varies each time I run the workflow so I would like to pick numbers from the last list available (in this case PR_list{2}) and do something like: PR_list{0}.ORIGINE < PR_list{max}.ORIGINE instead of choosing the list manually.  Is it possible to create a dynamic condition in the condition value definition? 

I am currently reading all .dwg files from a folder with a dwg reader and it works well. To gain time, I would like to select in the reader the layers I want to keep (named “CADRE”)  instead of reading all the dwg files and the thousands of elements contained by them, which I filter after as I am doing currently (see photo). I looked the reader documentation and on forums but I can’t find the right parameters, is it not possible to do something like that? Thanks for your help!

Hi all,I have a 15 minute timestep data which has random missing values (expected). I’ve managed to track where the data has gaps, but in order to calculate a consistent rolling 24 average of the value I need to fill these missing gaps with a timestep but null value (so i can calculate an average from the preceding X values)Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fill these data gaps automatically? Or better still calculate a 24 hour rolling average using specific timesteps rather than just number of rows? Thanks 

I have a SHP file with geometry. It has an attribute called 'id_alt.' I would like to extract only the values of this attribute. Is there any way to convert these values into variables that I can use the value use with TESTER after UUIDGenerator to filter my data? Alternatively, what is the most efficient method to achieve this with FME
