Hello,

For the logged known issue in FME Form “FMEENGINE-82549” with “Excel Writer: Field Names row not written” the solution described is to Set the Row Height to 0 on the Feature Type, as discussed here. But what are the steps to do that?  Is it to simply just use transformer “ExcelStyler” and use setttings for “apply style to”?

Thanks!

Hello @kidega, thanks for posting! I do not think we need the ExcelStyler in this case.

This parameter can be found in the Excel Writer Feature Type. If you double click the writer feature type and expand the “Field Names Row Formatting” section under “Sheet Settings”, there is a “Row Height” parameter we can set to “0”.

Let me know if you are still having issues setting row height. On a more positive note, I think the fix can be found in the latest FME Form 2024.2 beta available on Downloads. Happy to help, Kailin.

Hello @kailinatsafe, thanks for your quick reply. This works well. Thanks!

Btw, would it be possible if not already implemented, to request the option to freeze first row in excel? which is manually done by going the “View/ Freeze panes/ Freeze top row.

Actually now I saw that there is indeed an option for “Freeze first row” in the parameter settings 😀
