I've run into some incompatibilities between the Desktop edition I'm developing on (2013 SP4 build 13547) and the server I'm deploying to (2013 SP3 build 13528). I was hoping someone could point me to a desktop copy of build 13528.  Thanks!

Hello everyone,   Would appreciate if anyone could give me a hint if this is possible to process multiple raster datasets within file geodatabase as single merged reader? I need to convert one gdb raster datasets into set of tiles within another gdb raster catalog and struggling with reading all of the input files at once. Is this possible?   PS. I all, I got this error message while running a workspace which writes ESRI relationship classes: An error occurred while attempting to stop an edit session. The error number from ArcObjects is: '-2147220893'. The error message from ArcObjects is: {Workspace or data source is read only.}  1) I read SHP and write GDB both in and out zip files (if both dataset are not zipped it is OK). 2) I set up the FME_TEMP variable to C:\\temp to make sure I have write access 3) Why should I have write access problems to the _auto_zip_dataset on C:\\temp? 4) Is there a trick I don't know about?  Thanks for your help.  JP   

Hi, I am using FME2014 and I am using this documentation : http://fmepedia.safe.com/articles/How_To/Working-with-Geodatabase-Subtypes-and-Domains  At the step 3 of reading domain values in the documentation, I click on VIEW of the coded_domain (DIAMETER) and I have my list of coded domain values from my GDB. Exemple :  http://fmepedia.safe.com/servlet/rtaImage?eid=ka1a0000000cwS9&feoid=00N30000007dMlC&refid=0EM30000000TpzI What I want to do is to export this list into something else like Excel. I have hundreds of coded domain values into my GDB, each of them connected to Feature Class. I would like to export the coded domain values (code and description for each of them) from all the FC I would choose to read into FME.  You think it is possible?  Thank you!

Hello, I'm doing a straigth-forward conversion of Oracle SDO_GEOMETRY from srid 294914 (old national coord.base) to srid 3067 (new national coord.base) using just Oracle reader and writer.  Is there any way to reduce the number decimals in the output, at the moment converting from   3385034.91; 6678837.36  (east; north) produces   384911.612948413; 6676033.80278682  Best solution would be to have some parameter in the writer to round or cut  to a desired number of decimals .  I assume that using some transformer (like CoordinateRounder) between reader and writer would substantially increase the execution time ?  Esko  

Hi  I have a huge set of Las files and I just want to pick out one or more of the files and cut out a pre-defined area. The area will be defined by the user, a published parameter. I do area on area overlay, the customer defined area over a square grid to catch one or more id numbers. Know I drop the geometry and just use the attribute in this part of the workbench. Couse I figured it would take longer time to do a spatial intersection in the next part of the workbench. I use the feature reader transformer and specify the feature type to read to the attribute above (Id number).  I have defined the directory and dataset is set to *.las. I’m having problems though when I run the work bench it doesn’t fetch the Las files. The attribute is defined as 70875_7620 so I tried 70875_7620.las and no deferens.   THe transformer runs when I use the spatial intersection mode that’s way I figured out it  must be the attribute.   Any Ideas?   Tofia :)  

Hi, I have started to use new writer format INSPIRE GML. I have also watched webinar on following subject recently. Since this is a first time I am working with mapping to INSPIRE schemas, I am a little bit dizzy with whole bunch of features and attributes. Still worst problem I have is with mapping geometry. I had to do a test with Hydro theme and featureType Crossing (geometry line). I used GeometryExtractor (GML 3.2.1. geometry encoding) for this purpose. Mapped '_geometry' to 'geometry' with AttributeCopier, but 'geometry' attribute is empty (missing) at the end. If i check the output values after GeometryExtractor with Inspector, there is a geometry value. So obviously I haven't mapped _geometry correctly with corresponding attribute on writer as Dean suggested in webinar (geometry attribute should be used for polygons only, correct?) I also mapped it with all possible xml_geometry datatype on writer, nothing. what do I do wrong?

Hi, I'm doing a CAD to GIS  transformation of a telecommunication exchange and i'm looking to capture the arrowhead direction represented by the CAD arrows(they come across in FME as "autocad_block_name" ARROW), but when I filter them they come across as small line segments at the ends of the cable. In the end I need to be able to specify the number and location of arrowheads on a given piece of cable. If you have any ideas or need any additional information please let me know. Thanks. -Tim

I need to merge two files (excel). I want to retain the common fields, but I want to remove duplicates, but also flag the data sources.  So for Example I have:  Readers File A Name, Postcode, DOB Bob, NG1 1AA, 01/01/1970  File B Name, Postcode, DOB John, SW1 1AA, 01/01/1980  Writers File C Name, Postcode, DOB, FileAFlag, FileBFlag Bob, NG1 1AA, 01/01/1970, Yes, No John, SW1 1AA, 01/01/1980, No, Yes  I can merge the File A and B , simply by using 2 AttributeCreators and 1 AttributeKeeper and a Writer.   ------------------------------------------  The problem starts where I have duplicate entries and want to merge the data. See below:  Readers File A Name, Postcode, DOB Bob, NG1 1AA, 01/01/1970  File B Name, Postcode, DOB Bob, NG1 1AA, 01/01/1970  Writers File C Name, Postcode, DOB, FileAFlag, FileBFlag Bob, NG1 1AA, 01/01/1970, Yes, Yes  -------------------------------------------  Anyone know which transformers I need to use for this situation?  Thanks, S.        

Hi there I am trying to undertake some spatial validation of input data (points), notably to determine if the ID given to the points is within a polygon with the same ID.  Easy so far (PointonPolygonOverlay / Tester).    But what I then want to do for those points that fall outside is calculate the distance to the polygon it should be in.  Unfortunately although the point doesn't fall into the polygon it should, it does fall into another polygon so when I run NeighbourFinder all i get is the distance to the nearest polygon, not the one with the matching ID.  Can anyone advise if this is the best route or if there is a better way of doing this? 

Hey there, i just started working with FME 2014 Oracle Edition 64bit. So i came across some things/problems/possibly bugs i can't seem to find a solution nor any helpful information. I was wondering if any of you encountered similiar problems or have even have a solution at hand. Here they come:  1. When entering a custom transformer CREATED in FME 2014 the content of a FMEBinary geometry storing atrribute gets always altered to "1O¨ƒ [GS][EM]" (with the GS and EM being black symbols) and therefore is pretty useless. Transformers created in FME 2013 don't do this and still work fine in 2014.  2. With some features going into the same custom transformer i get the following error message: ParallelProcessing_FindMaxTriangle_Feature_in1390212354 Input Splitter: This FME edition does not recognize the `hjTA' function. Please ensure that the current platform supports this function, the function name is spelled correctly, and that you have installed all required plug-i

Not quite sure how to describe this or how to look it up.  I've got points coming into a point on area overlayer, two different schemas gathering similar attributes.  I'd like to merge them into one csv file by directing the differently name attributes to a common one.  I attempted to write the features to a NULL feature, but then I couldn't figure out how to reuse them in the same workbench file to pass them along to the final output csv file.  I thought that I had seen where you could do this, but don't remember the way of accomplishing it if possible.  Using 2014 on Win 7.  Can this be done in the same workbench file or do I need to create two files?  Thanks.

It looks like the default setting for bookmarks in FME 2014 is "unlocked", is that right? That is, when you draw a bookmark around transformers and move the bookmark, the transformers do not move. You have to "lock" the magnet in the top left corner.  That is the opposite from previous FME releases. Is there a setting where you can set the default? When I put a bookmark around some transformers, I usually want to move *** at some point. It is an extra step to have to lock the bookmark.  Thanks

Hi:     I have a layer with zoning, and a cadastre layer - the boundaries dont match up so i was trying to user a negative buffer to shrink the parcel a bit to eliminate most of the missmatches - but then i am getting too many null buffers.  trying to do it with a spatial relator and a matcher and it is getting overly complicated.  So time to rethink how i am doing it. What is the best way to copy the zoning text attribute from the zoning layer to a parcel layer on top of it - there are parcels with multiple zones? Thanks,    Mike   

Hi, I have a feature class of polygons that I would like to convert to a text layer in the DGN file with one of the attributes as the text shown. I have played about with GeometryCoercer and tried  changing the format attibutes (igds_type and igds_text_elements{}.igds_text_string) but cant get text to display in the place of polygons. Has anyone managed to do this?

I have a set of data that is 4D.   I would like to compute a point coordinate given an input measure that i provide.   I am still using FME 2011.  Thanks in advance.   

How would I find the nearest neighbor feature that has the same ID attribute as the base feature?  Ex: All line features (candidate) have a unique ID. All point features (base) have a matching ID to the line features, but are not necessarily in close proximity to each other. In the output, the points should have a relationship with the line of the same ID.   Thanks

Dear All ,   We need to combine all the attributes from AttributePivoter into another feature class , we used FeatureMerger to combine the attributes but we are not getting all the attribute from AttributePivoter  . if we write AttributePivoter to excel directly it is working fine , but now we need to use the excel output into the same feature class . so what is the way to get it in one shot   1) AttributePivoter  with FeatureMerger  but not getting all the attribute 2) or  if we write it to excel how can we use this execl as input again on the same work bench  3) or call another workbench from the same workbench to read the output excel file and merge it with another feature .   Thanks,

Is it possible to route CAD features based on their symbology/style in FME? I am trying to separate features in CAD .dwg files and route them into different shapefiles/feature classes for use in GIS. So anything from the .dwg file that is drawn as a sidewalk (according to an existing line style, weight, etc) can be routed to the Sidewalk feature class. Or, say that fences are always drawn in CAD as a dashed line. The FME could take in a drawing and route all features with a dashed line symbology to a Fences layer/shapefile.     Is this sort of analysis possible in FME?

Hi all, As you can see, I have a quite complex question. Some genereal information: I'm using Windows Server 2012 FME Desktop and Server 2013  ArcGIS Server 10.2 What I want to do: Using a Web Harvesting program, which searches on a OpenData-Site for accessible WMS Service, which I want to integrate in my WebMap. The WebHarvesting program stores all WMS links in a txt file. The links look like this: http://gateway.hamburg.de/OGCFassade/DE_HH_WMS_INSPIRE_A3_4_Bodennutzung_lokal.aspx?SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetCapabilities&VERSION=1.3.0  Now I want to use FME Desktop, which reads/parsed the line and after that, FME should publish these links to the FME or ArcGIS Server Rest Interface.  So....firstly my question would be: Is this possible? And secondly: If it is possible, how to realize it?   Regards!

If I want to run a workspace, either as a workspace or as a job on an FME server, I want to assign values to its published SourceDataset entries.  What what is the precise format for these entries ?  Do the file paths need to enclosed in quotes ? Either seperately or all-in-one ? What separartor character needs to go between each path ?  Cheers Lars I.

I am trying to build some 3D planes from XYZ centre points.  I have generated the planes using sector generator coerced these as polygons then 3d Forced them @ZValue  rotated them CLOCKWISE them using ) and I am stuck trying to get the resultant planes to rotate/tilt on their Z axis about their @ZValue centre using an @Value(Dip)  can someone please provide a screenshot of a 3DAffiner example of a Z-axis affine of say 10 degrees   AND  a 3DRotator example of a custom axis example OR z-axis example to apply a 10 degrees to each plane element? the help file for these two transformers are for irony and i am unable to debug why nothing is tilting.  Kind Regards, Steve
