Fails to convert lines to polygons,

I couldn’t figure out why the workbench below fails to convert lines to polygon.

CAD file:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/a3sb8l5cjzcsk5s/Ayman_02.dwg

What might be the issue here?

Thank you

Best

Jamal

Hi Jamal, every day :)

Probably there is a line that doesn't touch with adjoining line at the end point each other.

I would recommend you to always consider "snapping" when the AreaBuilder failed.

Hi,

I agree completely with Takashi and what's been said before on this subject: Snapping is almost always necessary. Remember that FME works with full precision coordinates, whereas ArcGIS implicitely snaps to resolution grid. This means that FME is much more sensitive to microscopic gaps.

Many thanks Takashi and David for the help,

With the “snapper” tool, it works fine.
