Hi everyone, I have several Esri personal Geodatabases with similar schema but also some tiny differences.That is, they are required to have identical schema but in fact some don't due to various reasons. Some feature types and attributes are unexpected, while some required ones are missing. Now I want to choose a standard one from them as a template and merge them all to get a standard destination mdb. How can I achieve that?

Within the User Parameters I have added the option to Select a File.More specific the user has the option to select a Geodatabase (Items to Select).When the user has selected the Geodatabase, I like to have the user also select the database of his/her own choice within that Geodatabase. Is there a way to configure that?  

This is supposed to be a quality of life improvement when working with unreliable data providers or when you have unreliable internet connection. I hope this functionallity exists in FME already but I could not find it.I am trying to make a custom node that saves the data stream it intercepts locally and reads that data instead if the original source doesnt come through. There are two problems that I have been unable to solve. I have a workspace that filters a folder for the newest .zip file contained within and then uses a FeatureReader to extract shapefiles out of it for further processing. This works perfectly in Form but in a Flow automation where it runs off of a folder watch, it fails with   '<filename>.dbf' is not a valid Shapefile and cannot be read.  So apparently when operating from Flow the FeatureReader is trying to read the sidecar files.  Why?  And how can I tell it to stick to .shps? Thank you

When a FeatureWriter fails for whatever reason, is the expected outcome that nothing is output from any of the ports, even if some or all other feature types are successful? In my example I have 2 feature types in a FeatureWriter and 1 of the 2 writes successfully, the other fails (I’ve forced it to fail to test this functionality). I want to be able to take the information from the successfully-written feature type further in the workspace for processing. Is this not possible? Currently I’ve resorted to 40 separate FeatureWriters for 40 different feature types in case 1 of them fails and the other 39 are successful. I do have Rejected Feature Handling set to Continue Translation. This is FME 2024.1.1.1 (B23620).Below is my example. The 312 features for for the one feature type successfully write to my database (ArcSDE GeoDB). I need to write datetime to a comment on a SQL table after my postgres SQL writer is complete.This can easily be done like when using a featureWriter like so:COMMENT ON SCHEMA "my schema" IS '@DateTimeFormat(@DateTimeNow(), %Y-%m-%d %H:%M)';This is not possible if i use a regular postgres writer. Only SQL functions are available. This alone is not enough to set a timestamp.Tiny but frustrating neuance between almost identical transformer/writers. What other ways can i inject a datetime into my comment on schema syntax?

Hi all, I am currently using a Dissolver with Attribute Accumulation > Accumulation Mode set to ‘Use Attributes From One Feature’.How does FME decide which feature's attributes are used? I have created an FME Server App. Is it possible to provide permission for another user to edit the App?I have granted full permission to Create Apps and also to the specific App to my other user but I get this error message when the user tries to edit the App:This Server App is owned by "admin". Only the owner or a user who can manage FME Server security permissions can edit this App.This seems to be highly restrictive.

Context: Feature Type with a WHERE clausePurpose: To only read records relating to a user defined Iwi (Maori Tribe).When the WHERE Clause is, for example: "IWI"='Whakatōhea', the transaction is successful and returns the expected records. However, when the WHERE Clause is set with a User Parameter "IWI"='$(IWI)'and the User Parameter is set with the value Whakatōhea, the transaction is successful but no records are found.This behavior is only affecting records with macronated vowels, which is common in Maori language.  Users need to be able to input their Iwi of interest for this workbench.Can anyone suggest where the WHERE clause setup might fail?Many thanks

Hi,I have a workspace that reads a shapefile. My workspace has around 450 transformers. I defined published parameters for the user to insert the row quantities of the shapefile.How can I automatically get the number of features from my file and save it in a published parameter to use in the middle of my workspace, simulating the values inserted by the user? 

Hello,I have a flow automation set up to send out email with attachment(s) from a workspace. The output from the workspace include files: f1.xlsx, f2.kmz, and some parameter (e.g. ‘kmzneeded’ with value Yes/No).The email will always send f1.xlsx, but depends on whether or not user draw on the map, then f2.kmz need to be attached. Right now, I configured to include the two file path in server in the email attachment ("$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP)/F1.xlsx" "$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_TEMP)/F2.kmz"), so it always emails two files (with incorrect kmz from previously run). Can anyone please help point me a direction how to handle this? Any information is appreciated. 🙏

I have a whopping great big table in my workbench with 2100 attribute fields in it! 😯The data originates from JSON files, and I need to write it into several csv files.The csv files need to pick up the schemas of tables in an Oracle db. These tables have a couple of hundred attribute fields / columns in, so many of my attribute fields will be dropped from the massive table in the workbench when creating the csv. This is good!The Oracle tables do not feature in the workbench at all, so I just need to grab the schema of the existing tables, bring them into the workbench, and use them in the csv writers.I’ve tried to use Schema Scanner, and Schema Mapper but with no luck. I am sure the answer must be really simple and I am doing something wrong.Any help will be much appreciated.Stuart

Is there a way to turn on logging of the SQL statements that FME is issuing to Oracle in Workbench 2014?

Hi, this must be easy but can't seem to find it...I want to convert duration from seconds to hours, minutes, seconds. So 337759 seconds should be 93h49m19s.I thought the DateTimeConverter should help me, but can't seem to get it right:results in 21h49m19s...I could calculate it myself, but I guess I'm overlooking a setting in this transformer?

I am struggling to access data that I submit with a topic through the data streaming service inside my automation via the FME Flow Topic Trigger. Hi, I have something I can’t find my way around in.We have a whole lot of Revit files. At the end we need them at ArcGIS Online as room Polygons and ghosted facades.I created a flow, that worked on the first file, but after that some works, some don’t and I can’t see the difference.I’ve testet and added the files in ArcGIS Pro and defined the correct coordinate system, and they are all placed correctly, using the exact same method, but using FME only some are placed correctly.I’m using a Feature reader using the Danish Coordinate system ESPG 4095, since that’s what have been added to the Revit file, and I’m using a feature writer using the same coordinate system.I was playing around with the Coordinate system to read, it’s not helping me at all, and why should that make any difference when it pops in perfectly in ArcGIS PRO. I hope one can help me understand this.Thanks

I am writing a workflow that refreshes data within a hosted AGOL feature service.To enable continuity of service, I have 2 hosted feature services for the same layer.  eg.  Playgrounds_A and Playgrounds_B.    There is a view defined called Playgrounds_View whose source is either Playgrounds_A or Playgrounds_B My workspace plan is to refresh the contents of the ‘non-active’  feature service, and then set the Playgrounds_View to point to it.I have managed this previously with Python for ArcGIS scripts using commands like item.add_relationship() and item.delete_relationship()How can I recreate this functionality in FME workbench ?

Hello everybody! some weeks ago I asked for help with our project: calculate the distance to all schools in the city having as input one address.
