Hello,For the logged known issue in FME Form “FMEENGINE-82549” with “Excel Writer: Field Names row not written” the solution described is to Set the Row Height to 0 on the Feature Type, as discussed here. But what are the steps to do that?  Is it to simply just use transformer “ExcelStyler” and use setttings for “apply style to”?  Thanks!

Is there a solution to correctly read sharepoint list attributes that are multi-select columns?When reading a sharepoint list with relevant permissions to read,write etc. the data table returned shows only <NULL> values for any column that has multi-selection enabled - adjacent columns with single select settings that hold the same data type (username) are returning the expected values - only the column settings differ.[Note the column setting for allow selection of {people only / people and groups} may also play a part in this question]The column that is returning NULL only has settings as below: List columns that return the expected values have settings: 

I was able to do a cumulative count of duplicate values (where duplicate is “-1” only) using a Group By on a Counter transformer shown below. (Added note: I should have added this to remove ambiguity - SORRY. The output as shown below in the Preview is the desired output. I only care to know the number of consecutive sequential values when the value is “-1”. If the pattern changes and another series of duplicate “-1” appears, the count starts with “1” again. I don’t care if the pattern for duplicate values are greater than “0”, like “2420” on the Preview.)  Since I have more than a dozen of these attributes, I’d like to use an AttributeCreator instead but I can’t seem to use the CurrentAttribute() to accumulate duplicate values.In addition, everytime a sequence of “-1”s begin (as shown in row 143 above), count starts at 1 again.Any suggestions?

I have data stored in a SQL server database in a native geomtry type format. I would need to migrate this data to a postgis database and store the data using simple geometry (point, lines and polygons instead of the generic geometry datatype).I have seen options how to modify the destination schema. But it does not include how i can specify the geomety type. https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/articles/25407537293069-Dynamic-Workflows-Destination-Schema-is-Derived-from-a-Schema-FeatureMy data is stored as geometry but it is known and expected that specific tables will polygon or lines. Is there a somewhat simple way to do this without creating the destination tables beforehand?  

Hi All,I’m creating an archiving workbench for our Esri Enterprise SDE databases. I’m trying to automate checking for an existing version of a raster in either our shared or archived databases and then assigning a version suffix according to if the data already exists in one of the databases. I have the majority of the workbench sorted but struggling to automate renaming the raster to include the version suffix when writing to archive.In my example below I’ve identified that there are two existing versions of the test data “gen_aaa_aaa_test_ras” so I’ve created a name field “archhiveddataname”, which contains the the name I want to give the raster when I write it to Archived “gen_aaa_aaa_test_ras_2”. I can access this information from the schema port but not from the generic. If I include the information from the schema port I get an error saying that I’m trying to write non-raster geometry and the workbench fails. I’m using FME 2023.1.2.0 (20231110 - Build 23641 - WIN64) Thanks in adv

Hello,We have an excel file with different first lines.For this reason, we have defined the featurereader in the excel file, which allows us to have the column names in A, B, C ... and not the column name with the values of the first line.This works very well, but as soon as we put a parameter in the dataset (instead of a hard-coded directory path), we lose the A, B, C field names and can't use them generically.do you think there's a solution for keeping column names in A, B, C?Best regards

Hello fellow FME form users,I had a script which worked in FME 2022.2, but not in FME 2023.2. I then get the following error:<WMTS> An error occurred while generating the GetTile URL, please check the dataset URL and selected parameters Another weird thing is when I make a fme workspace app based on this fme script, then I don't get the error at all and I manage to get results. It's just not clear  to mer why the script doesn work in fme workbench 2023.2I have checked the following parameter to yes: “Prefer Dataset to URL” This is our curernt fme form build:FME(R) 2023.2.0.0 (20231201 - Build 23764 - WIN64) and this is our curernt fme flow build:FME Flow 2023.2.1Build 23774 - win64I have attached the workspace, so that others can also test with my workspace.

Hello FME Community,In order to retrieve the list of fields from Shapefiles, I am currently using the following workflow: SchemaScanner => ListExploder => AttributeManager(Name).csv.My objective is to perform this process on a set of Shapefiles contained in a folder and output the CSV files into another folder while keeping their original filenames.However, I encountered some issues with this setup:Filename Issues: I am having trouble preserving the original filename for each output CSV file. The current workflow doesn't seem to carry over the original Shapefile name correctly. AttributeManager: I'm using AttributeManager to manage field names, but I'm unsure if I'm configuring it correctly for this task. It doesn't seem to handle the filename dynamically.Do you have any suggestions or solutions to address these issues? 

Hello,my challenge may have already been solved, or it may be difficult for me. Maybe I'm just missing something:i have a line dataset and a point dataset. the points are measurement points of the lines. in our convention, a line has 2 measurement points, an arc has three measurement points and splines have at least 4. there is no attributive connection between the two datasets. the measurement points are identical to the corresponding veritces of the lines 3D.the line represents the upper edge of the sidewalk and i derive the lower edge of the sidewalk (street level) from a point cloud. due to the point cloud, the lines jump at the vertices in height along the line. i want to interpolate the line and have so far fed the 3D interpolator with the start and end point of the line and let it interpolate the line. so far so good.but now i want the lines to be interpolated not only at the start and end points, but always exactly at the vertices at which a measuring point from the point data

Hey I think I found a bug in the GeometryExtractor, where the geoJSON writer and the GeometryExtractor that writes geoJSON geometry to an attribute lead to different results. I have a sample workbench where I buffer a point, the GeometryExtractor writes the coordinate following the wrong orientation (clockwise vertex order) but the geoJSON writer generates the correct geoJSON (counter-clockwise vertex order).is there any way to fix it? I need to write the geoJSON geometry string into an attribute. Thank you,Andrea

Hi, I do some requests over an api to get some features.As result I have some attributes for each feature. One of them is containing the coordinates (lat,lon)Something like this:52.2413243,10.5215958,52.2411936,10.5215612,52.2410751,10.5215738,52.2409598,10.5215146...Is there a simple way to use the geometry attribute with structure lat,lon,lat,lon… and convert these values to vertices? I assume I have to use vertexcreator? But I do not want to define all nodes separate. Does someone know a smart way to do this in fme ? Thanks in advance

I have 2 datasets within my workspace and wish to append the contents from one into the other.  Will need to map fields as they are not named the same.  (or can do an attributerenamer step beforehand. ) No join clause is required, it’s just a simple append.What are the recommended steps?

Hello, I currently have a workbench that extracts all of my job history, auotmations, dataEndpoints (readers/writers) which I feed into a powerBI dashboard so I can more easily track data i/o, and jobs via using httpcallers and the fme flow rest api v3.I have just realised there is a issue with this, FeatureReaders, FeatureWriters, SQLExecutors and SQLCreators are excluded when using get “/repositories/{repository}/items/{item}/datasets/{dtype}”… to extract my readers/writers, dtype refers to source or destination, which is only assigned to readers and writers.The issue is FeatureReaders and FeatureWriter are transformers, they are not included in this output!What other methods can I use to extract these parameters from the FeatureReaders/FeatureWriters? (source/destination datasets specifically)

Hi,I’m using the Feature Reader to read Sentinel images.I would like to filter only the files (in a folder) that contain "B08" as part of the filename. There can be many files with "B08" in some part of the name.How can I do that? Thank´s

Hello,  Im searching for a solution to give records a group value based on multiple values statements. Data needs to be grouped on a Vehicle in time asc.So far this is not the problem.The grouping also needs to Start with a value Status = "Start”and all the other records after Start.The grouping needs to be closed after Status End comes as a record.It looks like a range or a ranking. If someone has some idea thanks. Kind regards, Nick 

Is it possible to retrieve automation tasks/items using the FME Server REST API? Specifically, I’m trying to find all workspaces that are run by automations and I’d also need to determine the published parameters passed to each workspace.The Schedules and Notifications (Subscriptions) REST API methods allow all “items” to be retrieved, which provides access to the workspace details but this does not seem to be exposed in the REST API for Automations…I’m using FME Server 2019.2.2 Build 19817 - win64.

Hello,Is it possible to write new fields in ArcGIS Portal Feature Service with a writer ?I’m getting that message : ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: Attribute 'NAME' on feature type 'Roads' does not match any field on the corresponding layer/table. The attribute will be ignored I can’t believe I have to create those fields with ArcGIS Pro, publish the layer and than run my workbench. Update:OK I just found out that I need my fields to be in lowercase to make it work.But for some reasons some field type are not working.Is there any existing list of all the constraints we need to follow for the fields in Portal? That would save me time! Thanks!

I am trying to compare the total of features from my original data source to the number of features  ultimately written to a dataset.   I thought I’d create a variable from Statistics Calculator result to refer to in my Tester.    Is there a way to reference the global variable I have set within the Tester phrase ?If not, is there an efficient way of comparing the stats between the beginning and the end ? 

Hi,I’ve tried a few times to do this over the years but I haven’t been successful. What I want to do is convert a set of cubemap images into on equirectangular panorama. Kind of like this:I know there are a lot of free python solutions of Github, but I haven’t been able to get any of them to successfully work. I’m not particularly good a python and I don’t want to install any script packages. I’d prefer to do this entirely within FME as I am already loading in the images.Would anyone know a solution?

Hi,I have thousand of Excel files I need to read but all of them have different starting attributes line. Sometimes line 15 or 16 or 17.(not me who developed that method of working….)The attributes are all the same for all the files.Any idea how I could have the Excel Reader to detect the starting line?Thanks !
