I am trying to combine roughly 50 different GTFS feeds (a feed is composed of 13 CSV/txt files) into ArcSDE using the spatial ETL tool. I need to update the stop_id field in each of the csv text files to continue the stop_id sequence that of the agency table in the SDE. Basically i need to remove and match the Stop id from the incoming feed to the stop id sequence in the SDE. I am very new to spatial ETL i have only been using it one day so please bear with me if i am not making much sense as this is very new to me

Hi,My customers upload .zip or .tar.gz files to our server, I have a CSV reader, when I set the url (https://mydomain.com/customer1.zip) of a zip file with only 1 file, FME server works fine.Now, a customer send us .tar.gz files with several files in it, for this spacific workspace I need to grab only one file form the package, there is a way to specify which will be the file in the url to process? I tried with https://mydomain.com/customer2.tar.gz\\students.txt with no luck, I manually convert to a zip file https://mydomain.com/customer2.zip\\students.txt but nothing works.ThanksVictorV

Dear all,I have a workbench for some data (feature) filtering inside and outside of some polygons. I'm stuck at final step where I need to remove duplicate features which are inside of one polygon. The problem is with this specific polygon where Duplicate filter is sending one feature that for sure doesn't have duplicate through DUPLICATE port while it should be unique. I've tried different polygon and different features and it worked fine but for this specific feature it's not working right. I've tried the MATCHER also and got the same result, it sent feature to the matched port while it should be not_matched. I've checked for all the possible differencies in attributes between this problematic feature and any else feature and didn't find anything different. The features are autocad_text_strings. I didn't expose any attributes.I hope someone can suggest some other solution or what to check for this specific feature? I can send data if necessary. Thanks

Im trying to figure out everywhere a road intersects with another road and i want it to give me a table with all the roads plus all the names of roads they intersect.I have major roads, and I want to know all the major and smaller roads that intersect each major road (this will be a non-spatial table)I want my end user to select one road, and it will return all roads that crossed this major road's path.

Hi,I'm trying to join two tables using the FeatureMerger and I have enabled the Process Duplicate Supplier since my Suplier table has got more than one entry for each of the Requestor entries I'm trying to match. However, I'd like it to keep all duplications from the Supplier table so that the total Merged includes duplicate rows from the Supplier. Is there a way to achieve this?Thanks!

Hi, I am working in FME 2014. I am trying to create a workspace that will have a reader grab all xls files from one folder (with multiple schemas), re-project the xy coordinates to two new attributes (x, y), and export the data to multiple xls files based on file name and new projection. Before the workspace is run, the user must manipulate the xls files to have columns with original coordinate system and original x and y coordinates. The headings "Original_Coordinate_System" and "SourceX" and "SourceY" are the only common column names between all the excel files. When I run the workspace I get an error saying "Error fetching dynamic schema definitions from reader `XLSXR_1"Attached are two xls worksheets as an example, and two screenshots to show a portion of the script.Would anyone have any suggestions that I could try? The attached table is a snapshot (fictional names etc used) of an Excel dataset of 10000 records, where employees of a company are each given a Card to access the office building, and this dataset logs their details each time they have entered the building, by swiping their card at the entrance door, in the past week.In the ideal world, every employee should have a unique "Employee Number" and also a unique "Card Number." So in this example, John Smith should have an "Employee Number" of 100, and a "Card Number" of 1. However, we can see that he also has a "Card Number" of 2 on two occasions he has entered the building, for whatever reason.Also, we can see that for Sarah Brown, her "Card Number" should indeed be 5, but for some reason, she has two "Employee Numbers" (400 and 500) when in fact she should just have one "Employee Number" of 400.What is the best way, using FME, tha

We are using FME server 2017.0. I am following this article https://s3.amazonaws.com/gitbook/Server-Admin-2017/ServerAdmin4Scalability/4.03.ChangingDatabaseProviderForFMEServerDatabase.html, chapeter 4 exercise 2 to change the FME database provider – from the default to, – not to a PostgreSQL, but to an Oracle12c database. I ran the Oracle scripts to create a FMESERVER user and installed the FME objects. After I changed the fmeCommonConfig.txt (see below) and restarted the FME server, I can not login the web UI using my previous logins. I can login admin/admin, but the contents are pretty much blank. I have no option to import the previously exported fsconfig file. I have to restore the original fmeCommonConfig.txt to go back the working FME server. I have a file of 100+ polygons and need to find lines that exist outside of the polygon based on a join condition that links the line to the polygon.ie find me the lines in file x that exist outside of a polygon where line.shape not in/not entirely within polygon.shape and line.auth = polygon.authI'm a new FME user - I've experimented with both the spatial relator and the spatial filter. I'm using an RCaller within a workbench that's processing some reasonably large datasets. The R script I'm using works fine in R itself, and the workbench runs perfectly with a smaller test dataset. However with a full-size dataset I get the following error, approximately 30 seconds after the last feature enters the RCaller and the rscript.exe processes begin:RCaller(InlineQueryFactory): InlineQueryFactory encountered an error when starting R interpreter. Message was: Process operation timed outRunning with the same size dataset in RGui or RStudio, the processing I'm doing takes approximately 10 minutes. However the processing is by group and so I use the ddply package in parallel mode to split the processing across 10 cores, making the process take approximately 1 minute.I've transferred this over to the RCaller in FME, and it starts the 10 processes, but still times out after about 30 seconds. How can I use the RCaller to do work that takes more than 30 seconds to produce an output?

Hello,I am aware that JPEG2000 is not the most ideal format for images if one wants to preserve quality but I don't have a choice of other formats in the external files I have to work with.Anyway, I would like to clip these external JPEG2000 files using clipper polygons and save the output as JPEG2000. At the same time I would like to avoid a change in the original-to-clipped raster pixel values unless they are on edges of the clipper polygons. So, I have set the compression in writer to 0 but still, for some reasons, the clipped raster values are quite different to the original raster values. Would I be correct in thinking that given the choice of image output format, it may not be possible to preserve original raster values? Any ideas please..Thanks,S.

Hello there,I'm having a difficult time with subtracting two unknown measurements of line features with each other.In short, I'm calculating the lengths of two overlaying features (lay1 and Lay2), and I want to check for all values that when subtracted from each other, is smaller than 5.Everything is working perfectly, except where I'm stuck, is in a tester transformer where I added the following (seemingly incorrect) info in:@Value(Lay1_Length)-@Value(Lay2-Length) > 5Is there a different way I should create this expression?Kind Regards,

Hi there,This is a question of a general nature. I understand that parallel processing is making use of the CPU's cores to process certain grouped data. However, since the FME engines are running/licensed each based on the existing cores in the server's CPU; would the processed workspace consume an additional engine? Thanks. Lyes

I have a feature class stored in an ArcSDE database which is edited by a couple of users via a web application. I want to push this information to a separate postGIS database. It’s important that the new/edited/deleted objects are pushed to the postGIS as quick as possible.  So, I’m wondering if it’s possible to do this via FME Server? Are there any features/tools for “listening” to a database, and execute a small workspace each time the database is edited (or something similar)?

I need to extract the starting vertex only and the line direction (angle). The polylines also have arcs in them but I only need the first vertex and starting line angle in the output. I will use this information to insert an arrow head pointing at the point with the back of the arrow or wide end in-line with the polyline. My source data is in a ARCGIS application with a SQL database and I’m converting that information into AutoCAD. So, the arrow head will be a block pointing at the first vertex with the back end in-line with the polyline. Basically, I need to insert flow arrows but in CAD. I can do it in ARCGIS without any issues but I need to get the same symbology into plain cad without a geometric network defined. I tried several transformers i.e. the chopper but it converts arc’s into line segments and inserts multiple points. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Example of the finial output attached.

Hi,I am using FME Desktop 2015.1I have created a Parameter (Choice - Single selection) and populated my pick list with the required values 10,20,30. however, when the parameter is invoked, an 'additional' blank value is also included. Is there a way which I can remove this from the selection options as I do not want someone to make this selection? Admittedly, I could build a series of downstream test to check for the non-value, but if I can avoid having to do this I would prefer to.Thanks in advance.Rob

Is there any why to upgrade version of old translator to new(current version)? not by delete and re insert new one.I have some workspace writen by old version of FME, so I want use them in new version of fme, but I found some times can not work fine, so I want find a way to upgrade to these workspace to new version quick and easy.
