Hello all, I have a pythonCaller in my script where I am populating an array with all the attribute names from the feature test_fields = feature.getAllAttributeNames()how do I go about excluding any fme generated features (example: fme_feature_type). I have a few thousand points in an SDE layer and I need to see which points intersect or overlay a polygon layer (hundreds of polygon features). Intersecting points will get a risk value assigned to them (I was thinking through a test filter and attribute creator). Non intersecting points just won't have a risk value and all points whether intersecting or not get written to a point featureclass I already have created in SDE. I've tried PointOnOverlay, Intersector, and even SpatialFilter but I must be setting this up wrong. Any ideas? Many thanks

I created a workbench to translate from Smallworld to GeoDatabase. In my Smallworld reader, I've specified to export the difference between a checkpoint (base) and an alternative. The difference between the alternative and the base (checkpoint) was 1 insert and 1 update. I used the AttributeCreator transformer to inspect the fmd_db_operation for insert, then insert the object into the GeoDatabase writer. However, it treat both records as insert and inserted both records (the insert & the update) into the GeoDatabase writer.

I am using feature readers to dynamically read features from a schema. The features are passed in to the FMW script in FME Server from a web interface so the feature readers don't know at design time what the features are. To write the features I'm using generic writers. The feature readers pass the schemas to the writer, which then know which attributes to write and also knows which format to write (this is passed in from the web inteface too). The name of the output feature comes from the fme_feature_type attribute.This works well for shapefile outputs, but for file base outputs like DWG and KML, the writer makes the name of the file the same name as the output folder. I am writing five features, so my output folder names are "one", "two", "three", "four", "five". When I write to shape output the file name becomes "PARCEL.shp", that is, whatever the FeatureReader reads. But for DWG and KMO the filename becomes &quo

Hi, I have a need to set ImageRasterizer's ground extents based on one of the DWG layers bounding box! Is it possible? Please tell me so! It's a deal breaker for me to decide if FME is usable for us.

I want to apply color to 3D features via FME attributes.To my disappointment I found that AppearanceSetter does not allow attribute values for color setting. AppearanceStyler does however.Problem now is I have to split my stream of features in order to get one stream with the features, the other stream with the appearances so I can use the AppearanceSetter to finally apply the appearances.Do I need to create unique Ids for each feature in order to get this working properly, or is there an easier way to do this ?Any reason why AppearanceSetter doesn't allow me to do this directly ?Thanks for any hint

i have two sets of data: a lidar point cloud and dgn files with some 3D lines/polylines.How can i check if these lines are close (lets say within 4 m from surface)/under/touches the surface created with pointcloudsurface?

I'd like to create a HTML/javascript site to let users upload a zip-archive and start a job processing this archive on FME Server. The workflow is very similar to the example I found here: https://playground.fmeserver.com/javascript/server-uploads/upload-file-in-session/  Using the code from this example I can upload archives (see screenshot). I also checked the resources on FME Server and to me everything appears to be correct - the archive is uploaded to a temporary folder as I expected it to be. However, it isn't "recognized" as a proper input file and when hitting "Run workspace with data" I get an error message saying "No Files Uploaded. Please upload a file."I already found the suggestion to change the parameter value for "opt_extractarchive" from false to true, but this didn't help anything in my case.  Any help is appreciated :-)

This is what I do:    It never returns any result.  However, when I use the StringSearcher to do the same, The RegEx works well:    Any idea what I'm doing wrong in the TestFilter? According to this article: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/Error_Unexpected_Behavior/Regular-expressions-that-work-in-one-parameter-fail-in-another, the implementation is indeed different. However, the two websites for testing RegEx mentioned in the article resolve the RegEx well.  How should the 'Right Value' be defined in the TestFilter?   best regards,  Jelle

I am having different dataset, that i have to convert to CityGML using ADEs. When am trying to do this, TRANSLATION WAS SUCCESSFUL is displayed (eg: 780 features transformed)BUt, when am viewing it in FME Data Inspector, "THERE IS NO GEOMETRY IN THIS VIEW" is shownI am using FME trail version. Hello everyone,I have a problem with coordinate transformation with data in citygml format with LoD2 and to write to another citygml file. I use CsmapReprojector, define transformation parameters XFORM_DEF and nothing. My input data is in EPSG:31277 and that is Gauss-Kruger projection and it is deprecated. I want to transform data to EPSG:4326 or 3857 or 32634 on WGS ellipsoid because i want to use 3DcityDB import/export toll. Data in input projection:and after transformation i get this:

My colleague and I have both an FME license. We use a workspace to bound pictures (jpg) to trackpoints from a gps (gpx) based on their time. When he runs the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 5000 pictures. When I run the workspace it takes about 10 minutes for 100 pictures. Our pc's are both very good. Similar cpu's (i7 5930). I have 64gb ram. He has 32 gb ram. I have a nvidia quadro K4200. He has a gtx 1080.

I have written an FME workbench hosted on FME Server that will be called by the Informatica application.The Informatica team want a logging mechanism via an Oracle non spatial table. The columns in the table areworkbench_id (published parameter filled by Informatica job call)workbench_name (fixed value - e.g Clipper_Perf_POC)run status (1 = run started, 2 = run success, 3 = run failed) They want to insert a log message at the start and a second log message at the end of a workbench..  What is the most elegant way to do this - start up and shutdown scripts, fmeserverjobsubmitter (aka workspace runner)? Is it worth adding the fme server job id to the table...the workbench_id parameter filled by Informatica is not very informative for further investigation within FME Server.Any tips would be appreciated.

I would like to obtain a new raster layer from the previous one, which shows a range of altitudes between 100 and 200 meters. Dear experts, I have a dwg-file wich is told to be in RT90 5 gon W. I have not been able to position it right though, but now I think I have localized the issue. It seems like the two first digits of all the coordinates are missing. Therefore, I would like to add 6200000 and 1400000 to the coordinates. How is this done? I have tried to set up a new coordinate system with the right parameters but I just cant get it to show up in the coordinate system gallery? Is there maybe a better way?Thanks.

Hi,I am doing an update task where I need to update dataset A with the new lines from dataset B. Dataset B includes all of the lines that are already in dataset A plus a number of new lines. I am using a spatial filter to filter out just those lines in dataset B that are not in dataset A. In the spatial filter I am using "Filter Equals Candidate" as the test. My expected result is that the new lines would fail that test and appear at the Failed port, however all lines fail.When I do a select by location in ArcGIS with the selection method set to "identical to the source layer feature" and reverse the selection I get the correct new lines.I can get the spatial filter to output the data in the correct way (based on my test in ArcMap) but only if I add a coordinate rounder to both input features with the precisions set to 3. This however changes the output data making it inaccurate.Is there anyway I can achieve what I need to do using the spatial filter without introdu

Hello everyone,I have line feature which I have to buffer and dissolve. When I use the bufferer and dissolver, it takes very long time because I have a large amount of feature. If I Buffer the lines with group by fme_feature_type than the output buffer polygon is completely dissolved. I do not need to use dissolver. But it takes also much time. I tried this way with small set of features, it is faster than using Dissolver. But it shows this massage and running with a long time. Should I have to use any additional transformer to improve the work-space? I have created a SQL Server in in Microsoft Azure with a database containing a table with of int, float, varchar and datetime data types.I have a workbench (2017.1) that is using a FeatureReader and the Microsoft Azure SQL Database Non-Spatial to read data from Azure SQL Server and write to a shapefile.his works great in desktop, however when I publish this to FME Cloud I get the below error.Module 'MSSQL_AZURE_SPATIAL' is unavailable for use with this FME editionI know FME Cloud does not run Microsoft ServerIs there a way to read Azure SQL Server database tables in FME Cloud?

Good afternoon,I've been working on this process for quite awhile with no luck. The objective is to convert a CAD drawing of interior spaces. I took the original CAD exterior walls (BLUE), and created polygons. I then used a centerline replacer to create the middle line (RED). However I cannot extend the line. I've tried intersector and snapper\\anchor snapper, no luck. I've also tried line extender, intersector, snapper and again the lines will not budge. I'm at a lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The large gaps in the front of rooms are for doors, which I have worked around. These wall lines are my biggest problem. I'm thinking Python might be a better position.Thanks, David

Hi all, I have two environments of FME Server: dev and prod. Based on the hostname, I want to set several parameters:FME Server connection for notificationEmail addresses are different...I do this with very simple Python scripts like:_hostname = FME_MacroValues['FME_SERVER_HOST']if _hostname == 'XXXXXXXXXXX':    FME_Connection = 'fmeserver_prod'else:    FME_Connection = 'fmeserver_dev'return FME_ConnectionThis works well on FME Server, but I cannot run this Workspace any more on Desktop. When filling in a value for FME_SERVER_HOST on Desktop, Python does not seem to be able to get to the FME_MacroValues. Anyone some advice on how to solve this?
