Hi, I have to convert a .csv file to o .Las file.

I want to know the value of a raster at specific points using the Point on RasterValueExtractor. Inputs are a raster and a point geometry shapefile (generated in another FME workspace).I simply connect the raster and point shapefile in the PointOnRasterValueExtractor (they have the same coordinate system), where they should be connected. Yet it gives the following error:PointOnRasterValueExtractor_2(VectorOnRasterOverlayFactory): Invalid point feature or feature with non-point geometry encountered. Only vector features with point geometry are currently supportedAre point shapefiles not supported? Do I need to transform my point shapefile in some way before using it for the RasterValueExtractor?

I have a large binary raster (1 band, values either 0 or 1) that I want to mask with a polygon shapefile (which contains 1 attribute column, id, with values 0). I was thinking of using Vector on Raster Overlayer for this. However the output file is the original raster, without changes. Am I using the VectorOnRasterOverlayer correctly?

I am trying to create a workflow to normalize a table with potentially thousands of columns while maintaining the id column. This would be an easy solution if the AttributeExploder allowed you to specify a column (or columns) to keep unexploded. Since this transformer does not allow this, a workaround I have come up with is to use the AttributeExploder with the option in the transformer to "keep all attributes" and then use an attribute keeper transformer to keep the "id", "_attr_name","_attr_value" columns. This would generally solve the problem but since there is thousands of columns, if we use the "keep all attributes" option in the AttributeExploder the workbench performs exponentially slower to complete (it will go from taking 2 hours to complete, to 40 hours to complete). Is there potential workaround which can solve this problem within a more reasonable processing time?

Hello, I have several publications in FME Server that are monitoring for incoming emails. The publications are subscribed to different topics. I am making a master log (in SQL) of all incoming emails for all the topics. Hi,I am trying to take advantage of the Direct URL feature. In my use case, I am including links in messages such as emails, where if the user clicks it, it runs a workspace on FME server with the correct parameters that calls a REST API to create a new project on a particular server. The user gets a summary screen in a web browser that simply reports whether the workspace ran successfully or not, but does not relay any other information. It also asks the user to read the logfile for more info., but there are no logfile links on this page. Here's an example in FME Server 2017.1: In the above case I added a Terminator so that if the feature comes out of the <Rejected> port of the HTTP caller, the workspace stops and results in an error. In this case I tried to create a project that already existed. Now the workspace does have this exact information in the response body from the server that it interacted with, but we have no way to route this information to the resulting summar

 Pretty simple question here.  I know that you can read zipped shape files by simple changing the extension to .zip in the advanced file browser. However, I tried this with .gz and had no success. Is there another way I can do this?   I’m using FME 2015 32x.     Regards, 

Hello,I am working on a workflow that extracts GEO data from an ESRI GEO database to a GEOJson file that has to be imported into Socrata. The issue I encounter is that my (in FME generated) GEOJson file apparently doesn't apply to the GEOJson standards.Checking this file on geojsonlint.com I mostly get errors that features don't follow the right-hand-rule or GEOJson structure errors. (type member required)Importing this GEOJson file into Socrata goes wrong. (But when I import the GEOJson into QGiss and save it again as GEOJson there is no issue importing this into Socrata.) I've been debugging and testing for a while now but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can only think about 2 things. Am I using the Orientor correctly?I use the OrientationExtractor to determine the orientation. Then I use a Tester to get only the left-hand-ruled features. Hey all,Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to write a brand new google sheet to a folder?I have the following file and folder directory structure:My Drive/My Drive/Statistics/My Drive/Statistics/2017 <---googlesheetI want fme to create the google sheet, '2018' in the "My Drive/Statistics/" folder automatically (without user intervention), but no matter if I include the string "My Drive/Statistics/" or the folder ID & "/" , it always writes the new sheet to the root of My Drive. If the Google Sheet already exists, this is not a problem.

Is FME already capable of working with a Service Desk / Ticketing type application?  Right now I am researching applications that I could use to manage emails & tickets (tasks). An idea (or hope) I have is for a user to email a zip file to a ticketing system, and then FME Server could be triggered to work along side the ticketing application to do some work with the zip file. I have a FeatureReader for WFS. Because I want it to work with any WFS source I have parameterised the Dataset and "Feature types to read" fields and set the output to Single Output port.This means that I have to use the Generic output port.Further down the workspace I have some transformers that do logging. I have a ListBuilder followed by a ListElementCounter, so I can log the number of records returned by the WFS service. I also have an UpdateDetector with the same arrangement.Before I started using the generic output port, everything was OK. But since I have used the Generic port, some ListElementCounters are showing problems. (The one connected to the WFS reader and also the one connected to the Unchanged port of the UpdateDetector. Others are OK.) The ListAttribute fields are showing up as red and they don't seem to be able to read the _list{} attribute that should be supplied by the ListBuilder.If I run the workspace, it seems to still work, but of course I get a w

I have a lot of scripts that all write to point feature classes in a 10.4.1 SDE Database in SQL Server 2012.  The source comes from one of 3 databases types, SQL 2012, SQL 2014, or Oracle 11G.  They all are the same as far as errors go so either it's my SDE or FME itself.I even inspected everything I could and on a few I did get error while running and cleared up those small data issues, but they all produce the same error codes on crash dialog box I show at the bottom of this post when I close the Inspector app.I have tried to redo from scratch a few of my scripts but they ALL are crashing like I show below.  I am using the latest version 2017.7.27.17725, I had 2017.7.27.17539 and it did the same exact thing and I thought upgrading would do the trick, but no....  I have redone all my readers and writers, fished through all my data and data types, redone queries, redone my writer feature classes in my SDE, and even filtered the coordinates to fit in the state because we are using UTMs

I am utilizing custom code to add a second geojson layer to the map. is there a way to take an imported file (ex: ESRISHAPE) and convert it to geojson inline (maybe as an attribute?), and then use that geojson output(text) as a parameter in my custom code.Edit:A good example of a perfect geoJSON output is how the HTMLReportGenerator converts both attributes and geometry to geojson.

Hello, I'm attempting to extract strings from a text file that comes after specific key words. I only need to extract the X,Y coordinates from the text but I need to preserve what values they correspond with. In my example these are well points and I will need to keep the location for each one. I have the following keywords:GEOLOGIC FIRST TAKE POINT:BOTTOM HOLE LOCATION:LAST TAKE POINT (TIV):I only need the X,Y coordinates that come after these key words, but I'm having trouble getting my regex expression to pull the X,Y data following each key word as there is text in between I don't need. I've attached a sample of my data below. I need to create a list (or repository) of all the unique words in multiple data sets attribute tables.
