Hi everyone,  I am trying to create a set of new attributes with the Attribute Creator. I would like to use the "import" option to bring the attributes from a CSV file. However, the transformer reads the attribute values as a "text" and not as Arimethic function (See picture for clarification ). Any idea on how to change that quickly? Or any better idea to obtain the same result? I mean create the following attributes:  Name AttributeY1 =A1+B1Y2 =A2+B2Y3 =A3+B3Thanks in advance!. 

Hello, I am reading some attributes from a database. Some are in string format, some in number (int, float etc.). I want to write these attributes to a json file.I noticed that all the attributes in string format are automatically output in quotation marks and the numbers without. In my case I have three attributes: district, lat and long. District is an int, lat and long are strings. How can I change lat and long so that their output is also without quotation marks like the district one (see image) ?

We recently upgraded to FME Server 2022.2 and were having issues adding an emailer to an FME Automation. After inserting an emailer within an Automation, we are receiving an error when attempting to validate the email after putting in the Client ID of the app registration that we created within Azure Active Directory App Registration. We are receiving this error when validating: Is there a walkthrough going over the new Microsoft Office365 email authentication within FME Server? I see the FME Desktop emailer has been updated to use a web connection, and I'm able to successfully create this web connection and send an email, but still having issues within FME Server email automation.

I am trying to add a web service on the FME server (Google Sheets - safe google sheets). I put in the credentials and click authorize, a pop up appears. It says "FME wants to access your Google Account", I click allow. Then the page refreshes and says: Make sure you trust FMESign in or provide access to FMETo sign in or provide access:Copy the authorization code from the Authorization code section.Navigate to FME.Paste the authorization code on the FME screen.Authorization codePlease copy this code, switch to your application and paste it there Where do I navigate to FME? On the Web?Where do I paste the code? I checked my google account's security for FME and there is no option of adding the code.

I have been given the task of creating an e-mail function. It should send an email when another date is about to expire. For example, a customer receives an email when there are 14 days left on their current booking. But datetimecalculator does not work to calculate intervals of days when it comes from ESRI file geodatabase (is SDE in the original data) I suspect it is the format of the attribute that is incorrect but can't find how to change it to a working date. Is there anyone who can help me? Attaching my workbench and a file geodatabase as a zip file Best regardsJesper 

Assuming I successfully get FME to use an ArcGIS Pro license instead of a Desktop license -- a current problem -- I would like to know how to direct FME to use my cloned and currently active Python environment instead of the default (and unmodifiable) one that got installed with Pro. I have added several modules and site packages to the clone that I would like to use in FME. I read in another post (lost track of it) that FME might only be able to use the original Python environment installed with Pro. It was suggested that maybe adding the paths to the site-packages and bin directories in the clone to my system path environment variable would allow use of the clone. I have done that ... but alas, I still haven't gotten FME to use a Pro license. This brings up another question, though. On a colleagues machine where FME is using a Pro license, the workspace translation log only reports the version of Pro that is being used: there is no indication of which Python environment is

Hello, Is there a transfomer to know the direction a polyline was drawn (forward or backward) ? Thank you

(I have attached the dataset)I have survey points where each point is less than 2Metres from the next point per run, in a run i can have more than one section, as shown in the attached file, but all the points within this one run are still within a distance of less than 2M from each other. The difference in distance between runs is more than 2M. So it is evident when a new run starts and ends. If i had the attribute run within my dataset i would use the linebuilder and create lines from points.So what i am trying to achieve is to group the data per run. So far i have tried creating a new attribute in the Attribute creator transformer using conditional values but to no success. Anyone with an idea of how i can achieve this? Thanks,Keller.

What is the best way to download data from an Open Data ArcGIS Site that does not require a login?

I have roughly 12.000 features (points). Each feature has a list with 400 elements, which all have an X and Y attribute. I would like to remove the elements of which the distance between the point of the feature and the element attributes is bigger than a certain number.  Currently I'm first exploding the list, and then using a tester with the arithmetic expression(@sqrt(@pow(@XValue()-@Value(x_end),2) + @pow(@YValue()-@Value(y_end),2))).  The problem is that this way I first explode the list, which results in more than 4 million features! If I could eliminate them before exploding than I would only have roughly 200.000, which would improve performance.

I will soon have two sets of (hopefully) identical data to check against each other, sat in FGDB's. There are quite a lot of records (thousands, if not tens of) and I'm looking for differences in any attribute between the two versions of the same record.  I can see this taking a long time, and note there are different options within FME, including Matcher, CRCcalculator, etc. What is likely to be the most efficient method?

I am getting the following error (out of the blue, I might add. One run, everything humming along fine until "bam", next run, license/Python compatibility error):ERROR : FME initialized 'ArcGISDesktop', but the workspace Python compatibility setting is 'Esri ArcGIS Python 3.7+'. Please check the Python compatibility setting in the workspaceI have both ArcGIS Desktop (10.8.1) and ArcGIS Pro (2.9.1) installed, and I am using 64-bit FME Desktop Professional 2022.2. My dropdown list for the Python Compatibility parameter, however, does not include separate listings for ArcGIS Desktop vs. ArcGIS Pro, only for "Esri ArcGIS Python maj.min" . (1) Does "Esri ArcGIS" mean ArcGIS Desktop?; and (2) if so, what do I need to do to get ArcGIS Pro choices listed in the dropdown and to get FME to recognize and use my ArcGIS Pro license instead of my Desktop license?

How can I assign a unique identifier to all areas that intesect each other?

In this workspace, the results of AreaOnAreaOverlayer (using the default tolerance) and SpatialRelator (using a custom DE-9IM matrix) are different. I suspect it's a precision issue with the AreaOnAreaOverlayer transformer but it's curious that the transformer that doesn't allow changing the tolerance (SpatialRelator) is the one that works fine.  

Wondering what parameter to change so that when I use PointOnLineOverlayer it does not split the lines? is this possible?

It's been a while since I last used FME and now it's time to start working with automations  seriously. I need some help to get a quite simple one working though. I'm attempting to do the following: whenever an email from a certain email address and with a certain concept in the subject is received, the email subject and body must be checked and parsed to write a temporary json file that will be uploaded to a server via sftp overwriting the existing file. I already have: An email trigger with a Subject filter. A 'Sent from Address' filter action. A workspace action: AttributeManager and JSONTemplater transformers and a JSON writer get the important information from the subject and content of the email into a json file that is written to FME Server temp directory. An SFTP Directory external action: reads the json file from FME Server temp directory and writes it to a server. The problem is that we are waiting for imap access to be enabled on the email account so I cannot test the email

This workspace would have some tester, filter, geometry transformers. I have planned on using the FME Rest API to launch my jobs. I will launch them by batch of 10 000 jobs (so 100 batchs in total) Is it a good way to do it ?I would be happy to read your advices !

Hello, I created a dynamic workflow to load geopackages into as many tables of a PostGIS database From a SchemaScanner, I retrieve the source schemas then I build the names of the destination tables and I make some modifications to the data types. For example, boolean attributes are not recognized by FME because the values ​​are not conforming. So I would like to replace all non conforming values ​​of these attributes. In the schema part of the processing, I retrieved all the boolean attributes (in a list or a concatenated string). I would now like to use this as a parameter to define in the features part of the processing the attributes whose boolean values ​​must be corrected (StringReplacer for example). I could manually select these attributes but I would lose the interest of the dynamic workflow. I don't know how to do it automatically. Does anyone know how to do this?
