Hello, I would like to use a FeatureReader as an entry point of my workspace.But only Reader can work. As a workaround, I use a Reader to read a dummy file (ie. an image) connected to a FeatureReader. Is it possible to choose an arbitrary transformer (ie. FeatureReader) as an entry point? Thanks!

I want to make a custom transformer with a geodatabase SDE table reader from a specific table, and some other transformers. But when i try to create it, the SDE reader is converted into an input of the custom transformer. Isn't it possible to have a fixed reader in a custom transformer?

I have reviewed the recommended Virtual Memory settings in this post. But, my server is hosted in Azure. It has 32GB of physical memory, 4 cores, and has a dedicated 149GB drive for the pagefile that is managed by Azure. Still getting this error when reading in 5M well records from Enverus data to our SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase (SDE). The FME version is the lates - 2022.1.3. Just upgraded from 2020.2.2. 2020.2.2 did not have this issue.  To clarify - I have NOT made the suggested settings as Azure manages the pagefile and it is substantial.

Hi, I read that safe is building a way to generate custom transformers from OpenAPI description. Could anyone tell me if the plan is to make it compatible with 3.0 or only 3.1 specs?

My parameter says this.$(FME_MF_DIR)\\CF\\PNM.sdeBut I want it to say this.C:\\Users\\USERNAME\\Desktop\\CF\\PNM.sde Can this be done? This is a problem because it breaks the connection when the workbench is put in different folder.

I have a LAS dataset representing the groundsurface (also available in a point feature class) and a polyline Z feature class. Is it possible to determine where the polyline z is above the ground surface also taking into account in between the vertices?

I have two polyline features. One which is on the ground surface and one below the ground surface on the exact same location. I want to generate height lines for each Vertex generated by the differences in Z-coordinates of the corresponding vertices of the 2 polyline features.

Hello,I try to create polygon from osm like cemeteries. For now, I'm stuck after the XML Fragmenter and Vertex Creator. I don't know how to build lines between points because there isn't an unique value. I didn't find anything on the FME community so I post this question. I was thinking I can use an attribute filter to filter the different asset types and subsequently use a 3Dforcer to lay the different polylines on their correct depth. As an example I used the following parameters in the 3Dforcer for 1 attribute of the field asset type:  Elevation: @ZValue()-1Preserve Z-values: No The result was as follows:1 polyline features has 3 vertices:Before translation:  1stvertex Z: 0,62ndvertex Z: 0,83th vertex Z: 1,0 After translation: 1stvertex Z: -0,22ndvertex Z: -0,23th vertex Z: -0,2 What I would like to have: 1stvertex Z: -0,42ndvertex Z: -0,23th vertex Z: 0 This translation provides a constant Zvalue based on some average of mutliple vertices. I want it to take intoaccount each individual Z and then substract the ammount specified.  

I got un expected location from pdf page formatter .Iam not sure , why .i have added the cables and the polygon to pdf page formatter .when I add only polygon ,output as expected but when I add cables and polygon .the position for polygon border changed.then write the output in Feature writer Pdf(Geo spatial )the location of ouput as unexpected fme 2021

Hi, I am just exploring some of the standard dashboard features of FME Server 2021.2.3.0 (20220131 - Build 21812 - WIN64), I have got a couple working without any issues, and now I am unable to get the "DailyAverageQueuedTime.fmw" workspace to run, each time I get a warning: Path Reader: No files found in folder 'C:\ProgramData\Safe Software\FME Server\resources\dashboards\temp' using glob pattern '*.csv' with glob filter 'FILE'. No features will be readI have attached the full log file, has anyone seen this before, or do you know how to resolve? I am not sure what I should be looking for. Cheers

I have used RasterMosaicker to mosaic 4 ECW images into a single ECW image. Prior to mosaicking none of the images had black areas around the edges. After mosaicking my output shows two locations that are black on the edge of the image.  I checked and these black areas have data, various values of 1,0,1; 0, 1, 0; 1, 2, 1; and several other values. Any suggestions on how to remove the black areas? I have tried Clipper and it does not clip the black areas, they remain in the output.

I have a table of addresses with these values in a single field, example: Main St/Carter Ave. I want to put Main St in a new field named StreetName, and Carter Ave in a new field named IntStreetName. I know there must be a method for parsing the values to the left and right of the "/" separator. How can I do this in FME? I know how to do this in python using split. I am new to FME.

I have a mix column that contains numbers and letters. in some records the first value or two first values ​​are number and then is a space then comes letter. the space und letter don't appear in all records. if a record contains this space I want to remove the space between number and letter.For example : 2 a -> 2a oder 22 a -> 22a.   

Hi!I have a problem with JSONUpdater and the function "Delete From Array". My case : I have this JSON fileI want to delete the value 79240 in "structure_ids". In JSONUpdate, I can't write the value, it doesn't work.I do write the position of this value. How can I do this dynamically? Is there an IndexOf function on FME?And when I write a position, here 4, in JSONUpdater, it removes 2 values ​​instead of one (79240,79389). Thank you for your help

Hello,I have several thousand records, each with a date and demographic information. I have set up a workflow using the statistics calculator to get a cumulative sum of each demographic column. Where I am hung up though is grouping these records into weeks, and then doing my cumulative statistics for each week.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We currently have an Excel macro to copy cell data from an Excel source sheet and paste to another destination sheet. Once pasted, we will position those data in particular columns and apply some lookups.What would be the best approach to mimic such process in FME? Is it feasible to execute all those detailed steps by using FME transformer(s)?

We have digitized some roofs with dormers.Now during the creation process the dormers were digitized into the main roof to avoid gaps. Unfortnatley there were no snapping used.For example:Is there a way in fme to cut these roof polygons from dormers which are inside the main roof (blue line)?

Just found that a workspace I thought was working perfectly is not writing out BLOB attributes. The workspace creates schema attributes and writes out to a geodatabase. Unfortunately, the schema features for BLOB attributes--currently set with native_data_type = blob--are not writing out. So:Can FME even write out Blob attributes in schema features to a geodatabase?If so, what is the native_data_type to use for a BLOB attribute?Is the native_data_type value in the case of a BLOB (or in any case for that matter) case-sensitive?I have not been able to get FME to read BLOB fields from and existing geodatabase, so I don't have a native_data_type value to inspect. My BLOB attributes in the schema features currently have a native_data_type value of "blob" and an fme_data_type of fme_binarybuffer. Any insights? Thanks in advance for your help.
