I've got an issue with the stringsearcher. It does not seen to work as I expect it do do. It might be my regex skills, but I think I tried all possibilities. What  I've got the following text: "324324" "maatvoering; hoogte; bouwhoogte; maximum bouwhoogte (m)"="8", "maatvoering; hoogte; goothoogte; maximum goothoogte (m)"="4" asdfasdf sadfsadfsf 343244 In this text I would like to find the first number after it finds the word 'goot' in the text. In this example this should be the bold number 4. I'm trying to do this with the following expression: (?=goot.*")[0-9]*(?=") But it does not give any results as you can see in the screenshot below. Any ideas what I'm missing here?

I am reading all JPGs contained in a location (including subfolders) and manipulating the attributes. Then, using the filecopy writer, I am moving them to a new location. I am having a hard time getting them to move with the name I am defining in the Text Editor. The original name is retained every time. Does anyone have some advice for me?

Is there an attribute that can read labels, ie. I have some pipe geography with labels allocated from the search engine. They are clunky and are not well placed. I was wondering if its possible to read these and redistribute?

Hi there, I am trying to use FME to automate some user management for FME Server. Specifically I would like to schedule a workspace to remove any Azure users that are not members of a role. I have worked out how to list the users and get their roles, but I can't work out how to go from this json array: ["user:admin","fmeadmin","fmesuperuser"] to the integer value 2. Can anyone please help me drop the "user:..." part from the array and count the number of items that are left over? Thanks!Marc

Hi all, Good morning, The challenge we have is: to put a signature (image) in a particular cell in a table in an MS Word document. We have got something working, but we would like to have your kindly advice. Situation:The signature is read from an AGOL attachment as a blob and with a RasterReplacer and a RasterResampler it is turned into a JPEG (which is visible in the Graphics window). To put this image into the Word document we could use an MSWordStyler where we set Image Source to From Feature.But because of the very specific location of the image in the doc (in this particular cell in this particular table) we use a Python docx solution in a PythonCaller. Question:The solution we have now is to temporarily store the image and then retrieve it to put it on the right location in the doc. And this works... But, but, but wouldn't it be possible - inside the PythonCaller - to read the image "From Feature", like in the MSWordStyler...Any ideas would be highly appreciated. C

Hi, I'm Pol and I'm quite new to FME. In one task I have created voronoi cells from points that share the same value of an attribute and at those points that have a unique attribute value I have created a buffer of a given radius. I did this in order to create an influence map for a certain attribute.The problem I've run into is with the overlapping buffers on the border of the voronoi cells. This is the current result:  this is the desired result:   How can I do it? I've tried the donut builder and the hole extractor but I can't get it to work. Any help is great, thanks in advance. Pol   

Wondering how to create a hyperlink that will show the blue underlined text value in a field and when you hover mouse over the text you will be able to click on a url. My Writer is to file geodatabase. I have a single url that I want to associate with the text values in a field. Attached is what I have done so far using the AttributeManager Conditional Parameters. I do not want the actual URL to appear in the field.  

I have been investigating replacing my use of SQLite Spatial (GDAL) with the new (FME 2022) SpatiaLite Native format.Previously I used to be able to start a workspace with a SQL Creator with a statement like:SELECT id, column, geometryFROM table With a script like that, the old SQLite Spatial (GDAL) format SQLCreator would read the geometry correctly from a database created by a SQLite Spatial writer. However, I can't get the same to work with a SpatiaLite Native SQLCreator selecting from a database created by a SpatiaLite Native writer. Instead of reading the geometry of each feature, it reads a blank string attribute called geometry.Is selecting a geometry with a SQL statement no longer supported? I can probably replace this sort of use with Readers, but would prefer to not.Thanks.

I have a bunch of CSV spatial data that have no street location allocated to them. I was wondering if FME can import a basemap of google earth or google maps of my location and using an attribute apply a street name to my csv points?

My Reader is Excel. My Writer is ESRI File Geodatabase. I use AttributeManager to rename the fields. How do I add field name aliases to the Writer in this situation?

Hello, I'm using a string searcher to find "Dates" out of a "Comments" field. I have a column of all matches (Screen shot attached). How can i extract the most recent date out of all matches? Probably would help if I change "/" to another symbol.

I have an Excel spreadsheet in my Reader. I am using AttributeManager to change field names. I am writing to an ESRI Geodatabase.  FieldX has values of Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. What is the best way to add a hyperlink to this field? so that values look like Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 and when clicked the link opens. The hyperlink is the same URL for all the values. I am able to add the hyperlink URL to FieldX in AttributeManager, but the result is it shows the actual URL, not the linked value (Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3) in the field.

I need to scan an existing but unpopulated (i.e. no data) file geodatabase (GDB) and determine which feature classes have attributes whose names match a given regular expression. I then need essentially to extract the pairs of feature_class_name/matching_attribute_name and in some way to use those pairs subsequently in the translation. So:What transformer would I use to scan an unpopulated GDB for attribute names matching a regex?How best to configure and to capture information from that transformer to use subsequently in translation?[Related to the beginnings of a solution idea in my head ...] If I use, say, a FeatureReader to extract schema features from an unpopulated GDB with Ignore Relationship Info unchecked, will the schema features carry format attributes (similar to geodb_feature_has_relationships on data features) indicating feature classes and attributes that participate in relationships? Thanks, all, for your ideas on this.

Hi, I have a raster in GRAY8 that have cells ranging from 0 to 255. Additionaly I have a translation table with values as such: T pixelvalue≤ -22 0-21,92 1-21,84 2-21,76 3-21,69 4-21,61 5-21,53 6-21,45 7-21,37 8etc...I would like to replace every pixel value with its corresponding value in the T column. I have tried to do the following:1) Trim the "-" sign2) Round the attribute in the T column to remove the decimal values. My thought after that was to use the attributecreator with:if(A[0]=@Value(pixelvalue),@Value(T),And then the aggregator and merge them with concatenation. Then finish it of with brackets to something like this with nested if statements:if(A[0]==0,22,if(A[0]==1,22,if(A[0]==3,22,...And feed it into the RasterExpressionEvaluator. This workflow does not seem to work since I can't get the RasterExpressionEvaluator to accept my nested if statements and write many different colors. Any suggestions on how to achieve what I am after? Color my raster based on the matching valu

I want to copy files from one folder to another in BIM360/ACC with AutodeskBIM360DocsConnector, and in BIM360/ACC there is a Default Attribute column for Description. And when I copy them in FME the Description does not come with.  In AutodeskBIM360DocsConnector there is no option in Attributes to Add called Description.  Any suggestions for how I can get the Description in the copy process? 🙂 

Im trying to change the crs of a shapefile. EDIT:I have created a text parameter with value contractor_log and used that as the layer name in both, this seems to have fixed the problem (not fully tested yet). This seems to be more of  a hack than a proper solution. Is there a 'more correct' way I should be doing this? Hey, I have a workbench that manipulates some input data, then it checks an arcgis online table (contractor_log) to see if this particular mobile number exists in the AGOL table. I need the AGOL table to be UPDATED if the mobile number exists in the table, but if it is new (non existent in the AGOL table) I need FME to INSERT a row into this AGOL table, which is a dozen field to insert. I have inserted the AGOL WRITER into my workspace, setup my UPDATE writer which works perfectly, I now wish to duplicate this writer to setup my INSERT, but when I create a copy of this it must contain a unique layer (table) name, which is not ideal, as I want both writers connecting to the same AGOL Layer/table. See this photo, it 

I'm processing a point feature class (21 million approx points) I'm fanning them out into shapefiles, smaller than the 2G limit. It produces shapefiles, missing the .prj file. Any thoughts on why ?

Hi, I have a parameter in my workbench that I want to lock down to expect a 10 digit phone number. Here in Australia they all start with 04, so I am hoping to make my parameter restricted to between 0400000000 and 0499999999. It doesn't work if I use integer, because it drops the leading zero. Does anyone have any tips on how I can achieve this? Ultimately this will be published to server and be a web form input field. I am hoping the user cannot press submit until the mobile number is in the range I mention above. Cheers
