With the DGNStyler you can set a fill color, but is has to be a value. In Microstation there is an option to set 'No Fill' (see screenshot below).  Is it possbile to set a no fill directly in FME (with the DGNStyler or otherwise)? I tried a few things with 'igds_fill_color' and 'fme_fill_color'; however so far no success.   

The proxy documentation states that proxies are not support for automations. How do I set up my automation and/or proxy to use the FTP Diectory trigger when a proxy is in place?Curently when I add the FTP details to the FTP Directory Trigger and try to validate the connection i get the following error:  Invalid - Connection attempt timed out. Verify that the port number and security type are correct. I have tried all the combinations of secutiy settings available and get the same error each time.

Hi, I'm trying to understand XSD Driven XML Writer and wrote a simple example that reads 3 CSV file with customer and address data and write a xml file containing all of the feature types. The resulting xml is empty when I run the whole process. Running "customers" only writes at least the top element into the xml. I connected all feature types with xml_parent_id and xml_id together. Unfortunately the error message is saying nothing that would help me to find my problem. Please help me with providing a information or repairing my work sheet.I could also not find any example for this problem.  

Hi, I need to have parts of an othophoto in ECW format with absolute values. Previewing the raster in FME shows that the pixels have my preferred value of 0,0,0. When I write to geotif it works and I get the desired black areas with exactly 0,0,0, but not when I use an ECW writer. The black areas in the ECW have the black areas replaced with 1,0,1 or something similar.  TIF with mask at 0,0,0: ECW with mask at 0,0,0: I have tried disabling the compression on the writer and removing the alpha band, but the result it the same. Any suggestions?

I have an issue regarding reading of an Ifc-file with IfcIndexedPolyCurve. I get the following error message:"Skipping instance #76275: Instance is not syntactically valid."Row #76275 (and #45512) looks like this in the Ifc-file:"#76275=IFCINDEXEDPOLYCURVE(#45512,((1,2)),$);""#45512=IFCCARTESIANPOINTLIST2D(((0.0,0.0),(529.509035052,0.0)));" Any clues? I got a fgdb dataset which is multi-layer. Some layers are the table without geometry information.I tried to convert them into shp file.But it is failed. And the converted layers are crashed also.The attached is the datasetThis is error message.Thanks

I was able to insert 847k records out of 1.6M last Friday then it just failed (token was refreshed). This morning, I've disabled / re -enabled versioning in ArcPro and was able to insert 600+ new records using FME. Tried another 600+ and failed with the below error. ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: Encountered an unexpected error. Hello all,I had one file which contains some null values and some state values. So in that case I am using the tester to filter null and non null values .but another file contains all the null values in the same column.so in the both cases we are getting the output in failed port as both files contains​ some null values. So how to differentiate whether a particular file contains all null values in the column or only few null values. So that if file contains all null values then we can send the error message.

I've created a custom transformer which I think can be of use to other FME enthousiasts. I want to upload it to FME Hub as described here Publishing an Item to the FME Hub (safe.com). It states that it is best practice to upload an test workspace as well, but the information provided on how to do that is minimal. Is there somewhere a template available?

Hello all, I'm trying to get a json templater setup so that I can use an API to ingest some data. The challenge is syntax related, but perhaps I'm not organizing things quite correctly. I have some nested structure, and I've attempted to use sub templates for those parts. Please can someone help me to group points and assign a unique ID to each cluster? I have a large feature containing several groups of points taken from a line (see attachment) but I would like to rebuild the line and make sure they don't all join up together.So far, I am using a vertex extractor to break the line into points. I have played around with neighbourhood finder and it's telling me the distances between points in proximity, but I need to group them to result in something like the attached image.Thanks in advance

Hi,We have noticed a difference of behaviour in the GeometryValidator transformer in FME 2020.1 and 2021.2 without upgrading the transformer. A sample geometry in WKT : LINESTRING (45.02687462450092 0.06721615791320801,45.025979838437365 0.06841778755187988,45.02593434046724 0.06878256797790527,45.02601017039738 0.06899714469909668,45.02638931854123 0.06853580474853515,45.02621491070693 0.06806373596191406,45.02639690147848 0.0685572624206543,45.02660922331399 0.0685572624206543,45.02700353320486 0.06818175315856933) The transformer is configured as such :And we have the following results in FME 2020.1/2021.2 :In FME 2021.2, the geometry fails OGC Simple while it doesn't in FME 2020.1. One of the issue with that, is that the geometry is being repaired in FME 2020.1 but not in FME 2021.2. I have noticed that version 8 of the transformer made the OGC checks stricter, but the transformer was not upgraded and is still at version 4. Is there any way to restore the old behaviour?

I would like to combine 2 datasets: one containing about 500 monument_id's and one with about 20 types with scores and remark fields that should be added to this monument_ids (to create a list of about 10.000 items).  As there is no attribute value to match (so FeatureJoiner or ReatureMerger doesn't work); can these somehow be combined based on predefined matching attribute names? Or what would be a good idea in this case? Thanks in advance!

Hello there are vertex at equal distance (0.100) but these are unnecessary, only one vertex in 1m is enough. How can I remove the vertex in between, I looked for vertex remover, but I think I am doing something wrong, can you help me please? Additional information: There are always 10 vertexes in 1m.

Hello, couldn't really describe the problem in the Question field but to sum it up, I have a table of X/Y/Z that represent contours (see on photo)Meaning that between the "*" there is an independent contour, first one having 5 vertices, next one having 7 and so forth. Now I want to enter these vertices into a contour generator, but in the way that that Transformer creates separate contours from the "*" grouping, instead of a whole binge of criss-cross connected lines. Probably best way to do this would to give each vertex group a common ID and then run contour generator with Group by "ID". But how on earth do I group based on the logic:if X is within two * then it belong to the same group, then after the latter * there is a new group with a seperate ID and so forth? -Please send help :D

I'm looking for some help to use SQL in 'where clauses' for FME Readers.I'm trying to read from an ArcSDE database, using SQL operations like GROUP BY or DISTINCT. But I am under the impression that ArcSDE is not compatible with more complex statements than the simple terms like: equals/is null/not null/ in range / and so on. On the documentation page I read however: "Enter any SQL where clause that constrains the attributes of the layers selected in the layer list."  I have found the SQLCreator and SQLExecutor transformers, however these do not support ArcSDE format. I'm starting to think that the ArcSDE format simply does not suppport 'advanced' SQL querying in FME. Is this correct? So far I have found 1 alternative: a PythonCaller using these ArcSDESQLExecute functions from ArcPy. Could someone tell me if this is indeed the only workaround? I need to be able of calculating the last calendar day of previous month from today's date. So today being 21/02/2023 my result should be 31/01/2023.  Can you please advise how I can do this ? Hi There, so our IT Department is now implementing a 'no password' policy with using our organization's (s)ftp sites. WinSCP does provide a method to use the key file generated by OpenSSH (please see attached screengrab)...but I can not see a method for leveraging this file in FME's FTPCaller...is this true? (so no way to do this in FME?). Thanks for any thoughts here.
