I'm trying to Create 3d polygon with a center polygon and a buffer around it, I need to have an incline of 1.2 percent from the center polygon towards the edge of the "buffer". Hope someone can help, and thanks in advance. I've come this far, but I'm missing something:

Hello. Is it possible to create straight labels along curved lines with MapTextLabeller? Usually this transformer creates curved labels spread out to every single letter that I do not want. Lukas

Hallo , i have lines data and I have only start point and end point of line .but I would like to get all geometry of points from start till end point.,so I have used chopper to convert lines to points but my problem .I am not sure ,how could i add all geometry of points from start till end point in new attribute for the same id of line .FME 2021Thanks for help .

Hi I am trying to connect to a public S3 bucket and have tried multiple times to connect and download files in the bucket. I just keep getting an error message. I'm probably entering something wrong but I've tried multiple different things and no luck so hoping for some guidance here. S3Connector: There was an error connecting to Amazon S3: 'Parameter validation failed:Invalid bucket name "shaking-layers/": Bucket name must match the regex "^[a-zA-Z0-9.\\-_]{1,255}$" or be an ARN matching the regex "^arn:(aws).*:s3:[a-z\\-0-9]+:[0-9]{12}:accesspoint[/:][a-zA-Z0-9\\-]{1,63}$|^arn:(aws).*:s3-outpo...'. Confirm that your credentials and region settings are correct. I have lines , I have used coordinator extractor with index 0 , coordinate extractor with index 1 so I got start point and end point for each line .but I have still few lines ,although I see them in inspector as lines but the coordinates that I extracted for each line of them by coordinate extractor transformer ,has same coordinate for start and the same coordinate for end of line as attributes what is the reason of that ?how could I get coordinate of start Point and end point for theses few lines but it should has different geometry in start rather than end FME 2021Thanks for help

Hi, I have a parcel data with various years in the postgis database and I need to executed topology year wise to find out the topology errors across the years. I have query to filter out the data in year wise and the query is (column1 < Year and column2 >= Year). My first question is how to retrieve the various years in DB for that particular area and my second question is how to pass the years to fetch the data pertain to that particular year and pass it on to the dissolver transformer, kindly let me know.     

I have two sets of points, A and B. I would like to create lines between them, only if the distance of this line is < 500 meter.  Currently I achieve this using a 1-on-1 join in the FeatureMerger. For each point in A there is a list element with the coordinates stored for point B. So if I have 300 points of A and 200 of B, I would have a list with 300 features, with each feature having 200 elements. I then explode the list, and then for each point of B, create the feature, and then check if the distance is <500 meter. This is unfortunately very bad performance-wise, since there are a lot of unneeded connections (> 500m) being made. When running the workspace with big sets of points in A and B this can really effect efficiency. Is there a way in which I can check the distance between two points before I create the feature?

I'm looking to make a query which uses the spatial data in the planning brief to search cadastre, duct, duct_route and SL layers. So that I can change each planning layer can become searchable and have an output. We are currently working with MapInfo.

Hi,  I'm trying to run an FME process from the command line like I have many times before (fme example.fmw) However, it is opening the wrong version for the workspace. The workspace is in 2022 but the command line is opening 2018 (which is also installed on my computer). Is there a flag or something I could add to my code to ensure it opens 2022? My workspace has newer transformers than 2018 so it crashes everytime I open it I have tried adding it to the system path variable, but this doesn't do anything, unless I'm doing it wrong Thanks

I have a sql server table that I do not own but have full permission on.I can setup a GEODATABASE_SDE Reader and read it no problem the table qualifier is "abc\\username" When I try to setup a writer for it the Table Qualifier gets set to _abc_username_ When I try to write to it I get an error message statingGeodatabase Writer: Feature Class or Table '_abc_username_.table_nm' must exist when Table Handling is set to 'Use Existing' Unfortunately using FME2018.

Seems like exposing elements in AttributeSplitter doesn't work in FME 2020.0.1 (build 20218). Even exposing attributes after splitter with AttributeExposer is broken.Or maybe it's Data Inspector's fault for not displaying them. Any thoughts on this?

I have a table (BKR2) with x and y coordinates, but no address.There is another table (GBA_address) with x and y coordinates with address.i would like to search with x and y coordinates from table BKR2 for nearest x and y coordinates in table GBA_address.Is that possible and how?

I have been given 2 accounts by my IT. my normal account, with locked license, I can't return the license because everytime I try to open fme desktop it shuts down itself. licenses are available. But, when I try to open fme desktop with my local admin account it opens just fine. BUT in license manager it shows as I am using 2 licenses?

I have a writer that creates a CSV file to a folder on my computer. How do I write this CSV file to AGOL (ArcGIS Online account)? I already understand how to write data to an AGOL Feature Service. I need to create a CSV file to my AGOL account. I plan to update this CSV file every night (via the Task Scheduler) and share it with others. I'm using FME Desktop (not FME Server). Thanks.

I have workspace that currently has one choice dropdown input parameter that lists regional utility companies. The parameter dictates where the input data is read from and where the output data is written. On FME Server, I have setup separate Users for each region. The client has requested that I limit access of each regional User to it's own region. So, say we have Region1 and Region2. Region1 shouldn't be able to run the workspace by selecting Region2, and vice versa. My thought is, if the FME Server User accessing the workspace is available at run time, I could essentially do away with the drop down, and let that dictate which data is processed. Is this possible? If not, what would be my best course of action to accomplish that separation. My second thought was create separate repositories for each region, but then I would need to make copies of the workspace only allowing a single choice in the dropdown. This doesn't seem very efficient, and would pose an issue when upd

Hi all,Just a quick question:What I try to do today is to write a hyperlink from my workspace to a word document. I am compiling a Word document with a bunch of MSWordStylers and one of the paragraphs contains a hyperlink... I have been looking around, and it looks like it is currently not possible to insert a hyperlink to a word document using the MSWordStyler. Is that still true, or did I miss something? And: would there be an alternative route to accomplish this? Any insights will be highly appreciated. Cheers, Egge-Jan

Hell everyone, I apoligize if this has been answered already but I haven't had any luck trying to find a solution. Basically I have a URL in HTTPCaller that I need to append a value at the end of so that I can run multiple GETs. The values that I need to append are stored in an AttributeManager column. I understand that I may need to create some type of looping function that will go through the list of attributes, append the first value to the end of the URL in HTTPCaller, run the GET request, save the results, get the next value in AttributeManager, append to the end of the URL, run the request, etc.. but not sure how this could be configured in FME. Ultimately we will need to place the results of all the GET requests in one data set.

Hi, I have 25000 dgn files and I want to convert all of them into a single shape file and want to add the following attributes in the shape file File name of the dgn as attributeLevel name of the dgn as attribute I would like to convert only the line geometry from the dgn files. Please help

I`m trying to make a strange raster, due to a specific software demanding exactly that format.  It seems to be a GeoTIFF with 1 rasterband (UINT8) that has palettes with 3 values (RGB). See below for more information. I have managed to create the 1 channel TIF with the correct value, however I struggle to add the palette, and add the correct value for each palette to each pixel. Since FME can read the file correctly, I assume it can also create such a file, however I am stuck after examining all the RasterPalette* Transformers.  Any raster-wizards out there? 

Hi, One FME Workbench user in my organization recently had FME Workbench 2022.2.0 (build 22765) installed on his Windows 10 (Enterprise 21H2) machine and it was working perfectly up until a few days ago. He even went on a Basic FME introduction course without any problems. But suddenly, FME Workbench won't even start up. According to Event Viewer in Windows 10, fmeworkbench.exe crashes because of an unknown error in Qt6Gui_fme.dll:  However, FME Inspector runs just fine. To our knowledge, there has been no updates or changes to Windows 10 on his machine. We also tried deleting %appdata%\\Roaming\\Safe Software\\FME\\ but it made no difference to FME Workbench. Does anyone have any other ideas we could try out?
