It's been a while since I posted but I am doing something different and after spending some time looking in the forums for a solution, I thought I would just post it.  It's probably something simple, but I have limited experience with FME. I downloaded a GPX file from my bike computer and want to do some data processing on it, but when I view the file in FME Inspector, I am missing the "power" attribute which appears in the GPS as shown below.     <trkpt lat="43.7513380" lon="-80.5606200">    <ele>335.6</ele>    <time>2023-01-07T13:02:24Z</time>    <extensions>     <power>36</power>     <gpxtpx:TrackPointExtension>      <gpxtpx:atemp>20</gpxtpx:atemp>      <gpxtpx:hr>89</gpxtpx:hr>      <gpxtpx:cad>51</gpxtpx:cad>     </gpxtpx:TrackPointExtension>    </extensions>   </trkpt>I do get the time, temperature, hr and cad, but not <power>.I expect it has something to with the fac

I used the 2021 fme workbench emailer. The version from 2021 was functional. It is currently not functioning in the 2022 version. It displays an error message that reads, "No module called Chardet." The 2022 version had to be deleted, and I had to return to the 2021 desktop.

Hi, It's not entirely clear whether this has been solved or not already. I'm using FME 2022.1. I have a portal feature service with has jpegs as attachments. I want to read the exif metadata from the blobs. jpeg_exif_gpslatitude jpeg_exif_gpslongitude jpeg_exif_gpsimgdirection If I use the RasterReplacer method I lose all exif metadata. 

Hello,I have a 2D set of points within which I want that no pair of points stay within a distance inferior to a threshold of my choice. The supplementary points have just to be deleted. How can I perform that? Thank you in advance.

Hi everybody, I have 6 values which are standing for colour values for making maps. So each number is standing for a colour. The values are always the same and the numbers are 59, 63, 70, 72, 76 and 77. I have a lot of polygone ESRI shapefiles which are showing the administration of each country (OSM Data for example the states of India, which is the first administration level of India). To have the same style in each map for printing, I would like to use the colour values (59, 63, etc.) for every administration of each country. So each shapefile has a attribute field which is called "colour value". Now the tricky part is: the polygons (so the states of India) should have always one of the values, but the direct neighbour state should have always another value. Otherwise the colour of the states are the same of maybe two of them, which are neighbour states, and you can't see directly the difference on the map after colouring. Hi, I have lots of large raster datasets that I want to resample and save as PNG. The problem is that their rotation is wrong, and trying to modify the angle according to the image properties gives incorrect result. The images are oblique images.The raster in geotiff format read into FME:Doing no rotation gives this result in the final png: The image after rotating it.  RasterPropertyExtractor gives _rotation_x=222.30258951435636 and _rotation_y=223.52422211966618. None of these values give the desired result with a straight image. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is there a simpler way of doing this? Reading the image and disregarding the rotation?

We have some automatic data-updates on an ESRI File Geodatabase. I also want to update some parts of the metadata also automatically as part of the update procedure. I want to change Edition, Publication date, Revision date and dataset ID. I succeeded getting the right information to insert in the XML updater, but the XML updater doesn't seem to do anything in the metadata. I don't see any result. Could anybody help me out? I added the workspace to this question.  Addition 9/12/2022:I just discovered that, if I fill out these fields manually in ArcGIS Pro, that this information is not found in the metadata that is read by FME. Using PointOnAreaOverlayer, I would like to know how to extract polygon IDs and assign them to corresponding points that are within each polygon.

Happy New Year all. Can anyone please how can I change a date column (dd/mm/yyyy) from string to date time format within a workbench. The column is originally coming from a CSV file but after reading in FME, its getting converted into string. I want to apply test filter to get values within a certain date period but because the date is in string, I cannot do it. Do you have any idea how to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance.

I must use the http caller transformer to obtain the token value from the rest end point.However, I am unable to connect via FME. postman returns valid output. I get a notice that reads "invalid clientid or secret," but when I use the identical parameters, Postman returns the response body. Why is FME unable to make it happen?I made numerous adjustments but in vain. kindly assist

Hi,I'm trying to extract XML from the attached file. I'm using an XMLFormatter before hand which extracts the loggerId I need to match to a database table.I can extract the XML using the fragmenter, but unless I use the 'Merge Attributes from Input Feature' the loggerID is not carried through. If I do this. FME managed to burn through 700GB of my hard drive and then fails due to lack of memory.Any idea how I can carry through my original XML attributes through to the fragments without having to do this? 

Hi everyone,  I am creating a model to make it quicker to convert DWG files to SHP. They have the same format but there are several hundred files in various folders. The DWG files get updated from time to time, so the tool will be used often which is why I would like to set it so I only have to input the DWG file and the rest is automated.  For example:  C:\\CAD\\A\\1\\points.dwgC:\\CAD\\A\\2\\points.dwgC:\\CAD\\A\\3\\points.dwgC:\\CAD\\B\\1\\points.dwgC:\\CAD\\B\\2\\points.dwgEtc.... I need to write it to the GIS folders which are very similarC:\\GIS\\A\\1\\points.shpC:\\GIS\\A\\2\\points.shpC:\\GIS\\A\\3\\points.shpC:\\GIS\\B\\1\\points.shpC:\\GIS\\B\\2\\points.shpEtc.... I have used FilenamePartExtractor to get the filepath of the DWG and then used StringReplacer to replace "C:\\CAD\\A\\1\\" with "C:\\GIS\\A\\1\\". Is there a way I can use this value to specify the output location?  It has worked to specify a filename, but no luck with filepath so far.  Thanks in

It has worked well for a long time, but suddenly it stops with this error. What does this error mean?

The account that is used to run FME Server models has access to a network drive (\\\\srv-be-di-xxxx\\fs-data\\). Files can be read from and output can be written to this network drive without issues, using the right paths as parameters to run the model. However, when I try to add this network drive as a new resource in the Resources tab of the FME Server UI, I get the notification: Error. The settings for this Resource Connection are invalid. Do you still want to savePath does not exist: \\\\srv-be-di-xxx\\fs-data\\ Why is FME Server able to use this network drive in the models, but not to actually add it as a new resource?

Is there a way to: make a reader case-insensitive?Change the case of the headers?Stop the workspace and generate an error if the wrong case is encountered in the file headers?

Hi everyone!I try using AttributeSplitter to split up a file path in all it's folder parts, but the returned list is empty. I have tried to split by '\\', '\\\\' and '/' but with the same result. How do I get this to work?I want the 6th folder in the path wich can contain 7 or more folders so it doesn't work with FilenamePartExtractor.I am using Windows. The filepath looks like this '\\\\server.local\\path\\to\\folder1\\folder2\\and\\so\\on\\file.mxd 

I prepared simple script with HTML report.  Script is checking all txt files in input directory, compare values with parameters and prepared html report with href to each file or folder.  I have access problem i think in FME Server Streaming Service.Hrefs to files are not working with FME Server. HMTL file generated from this script is working outside the FME Server Streaming results. Can you help me?

I have a project in which I generate four shapefiles. In 1 of the shapefiles I add new attributes via transformers and fill them with a specific value. But even though I have neatly arranged the order of the attributes in my writer, this is not followed in the output in the shapefile. The added attributes are in other places than indicated in the writer itself. How can I ensure that the output is neatly arranged as I want it?
