I have adress points representing persons and attributes for each point including a categorization into age intervals. I also have a polygon grid to which I want to sum up all persons in each age interval to each grid cell. My output should be the grid polygons with a sum for each age interval, like this:"grid ID" "age 0_5" "age_6-17" 1 12 56 2 23 109 3 4 13I've tried several solutions eg. with "point on area overlayer" combined with the "list summer" but havn't been able to make it work. I use the 'generate list on an ouput area' option but my resulting "sum_" from list summer returns only "0" for all rows. Do I miss something with the lists buidling? Or any other ideas how this can be done? Thanks

Hi all.2022.2 introduces triggering an automation from a webapp, in addition to triggering automations in numerous ways already defined.One such triggering is "FME Server Topic notified".Can I create a workspace, uploading it to FME Server, and have this emit such a (custom) topic, in effect triggering the automation to run ?If so, I could potentially create a webapp for such a workspace, and achieve the same functionality, couldn't I ?Alas, there are no immidiate transformers that allows such emission, but workspace FME Server Parameters include FME_TOPIC and FME_TOPIC_MESSAGE. Can they be used for this, and if so, how ?Or must I resort to using the REST interface ??

I have a text that randomly has numerals and text for numbering. So the text can be: 20 trees will be planted of which ten will be oaks. I want to replace all numerals that are in text with numbers, so I get: 20 trees will be planted of which 10 will be oaks. I already have a csv (with the numbers as numerals and in text) which I could use to merge. I was thinking about putting every single word in the text in a list and the matching all words with the csv with a loop, but this will be very data heavy. Any suggestions to do this in a clean way?

Is there still fmeobjects package supporting python 2.7 in FME 2022.2?I need to run an FME workspace in ArcMap, which uses python 2.7 and realized there is no fmeobjects for Python 2 in the FME installation folder. Is there an alternative way to do the job?

We have a unique number 0 and 00 to identify paying customer.I set (0 and 00) in the AttributeFilter but both values end up on either 0 or 00 depending on wich one in the list comes first.What am i missing here? or should i set up a tester instead for each number or text value? /Tim

I'm trying to create a count that changes whenever it sees an empty row in a dataset. For example, I have the first 3 columns and would like to create a column similar to Test2 (see image below) that has a new count whenever there is an empty value in Test in the preceding row. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I recently upgraded my FME Server (to 2020.2.4) and the unwanted file hierarchy for FileCopy output datasets in Data Download Zip files have returned! I now have an additional folder (called FILECOPY_1) in the output zip from a Data Download Service on Server. I've updated the Writers in Desktop (2020.2.4), but the edit functionality (Publish --> Edit Register Services --> More) seems to do nothing for the structure of the zip file for FileCopy outputs anymore after publishing (the old way is outlined here: https://community.safe.com/s/question/0D54Q000080hM9QSAU/how-can-i-change-the-folder-structure-returned-in-the-zip-file-from-fme-servers-data-download-service). I this a known bug, and is there a fix please? Many thanks!

Here is the background. Esri uses subtype/domain objects in its GDB implementation instead of native RDBMS' relational tables with foreign key constraints. The result is often "nu-disciplined" databases from the RDBMS standpoint. I hope to create relational tables to protect data assets by extracting all the domains in our GDB.

Hello FME community, I'm trying to delete or merge some layers of DWG files and write them back as DWG files. during the transformation I lose my blockreference and the blockreference is written as a polyline. I would like to know how the blockreference can be written as a block reference. the first picture refers to properties in the source and second shows properties after transformation.

Hi. I would like to ask for advice. I have one airport geometry and I have for example three runways to this airport (for example BENESOV). I need to write this data into a shapefile including geometry = 3 x BENESOV airport geometry with runway number see printscreen. 204 elements are correct for the input of the shapefilewriter, but we only write elements that have one runway to one airport. Can someone please advise how to solve this? I am also attaching WS in the attachment. thank you very much

Hi,I need to test multiple FeatureCounters with one Tester so that if any of the counters have a value of zero then the test fails. Unfortunately the tests always fails because some of the fields are missing when the counters appear in the Tester's results. The test below is supposed to pass. Is there a way to set this up so that I can get the results that I am looking for?

I've created different user parameters for my workspace. Some specific combinations will lead to an error. The user has to choose the output format (Geotiff, JPEG or JPEG2000) and the color depth (Gray8, RGB24 or palette). JPEG and JPEG2000 don't support palettes, so those combinations will lead to an error. How can I configure the workspace to respond to invalid combinations of output format and color depth with a costum error message in the log file? Thanks in advance!

Hello FME community, I have 200 dwg files that works as tiles (mosaics) for a large area. I want to do a certain process on all DWG files and then save the file with the same name. when I read and then write all DWG files with fme, they are all saved in one DWG file. does anyone know how I can read all DWG files at once and write them to individual DWG files. Thanks for your support 

 I have used text adder to create name of polygon at the middle .So i have points geometry as name of each polygon at middle of polygon and polygon borders.i would like to merge both of them and have point and borders in one layer .How could I do it ? i would like to keep only attributes and rows of polygon borders .there is id common between polygon borders and points  Fme 2021 Thabks in advance

I have a dataset with a messy 'comments' column. I want to extract numbers from these comments, but only when the come before a ceratin word. For instance, a comment could be: on januari 21, 16 boats passed or21 boats passed on januari 12 2017 I only want the numbers when they come beofre the word 'boat'. Is there a way to do that?

I am trying to read in a csv and write the contents into a javascript file. It works at least 90% of the way and looks like this when I export the features:[ { feature1: value1, feature2: value2 }, { .... } ] I would like to insert the text "var data = " at the beginning of the file, like so:var data =[ { feature1: value1, feature2: value2 }, { .... } ] Is it possible to insert this text in the file before the JSON writer writes out the contents?  Another detail is that this CSV file has over 5 million rows. It is difficult to open the file and write in the text or use powershell commands. Any help is appreciated!

I have a single table, TABLE1. I have a field named STE. I would like to select the values of STE that are NOT NULL, then add the selected values in STE to the ADDR field in same table. What is the most suitable transformer(s) to go about doing this?

I have two Geodatabase Feature Classes, FC1 and FC2. I want to relate the GIS_ADDR field in FC1 to the ADDR_BASE field in FC2.  Once the relate is established, for the matching (selected) records in GIS_ADDR in FC1, I will then update the ADDR_SRCE field which is currently empty with the value "ADS"; for the records that do not match I will add the value "Res".  I know how to do this in ArcGIS Pro. What is the best approach to do this in FME?
