We are working for a client that has a test domain and a production domain. Servers in test cannot reach servers on production and vice versa. There is currently an installation of ProjectWise (PW) installed in both domains, but the test version is a minimal installation that lacks WSG being setup and configured whereas the deployment on production has everything, currently.Our task is to setup a process that will use FME Flow to retrieve DGNs from PW and use them elsewhere. Hello,I have a workbench that converts GIS data to an AutoCAD Map 3D object data file. In this workbench, I’m creating new layers that don’t exist in the template file being used, and would like to set their default lineweight of these new layers to “Default” or “ByLayer”. I am able to successfully define an “autocad_lineweight” attribute in the workbench and set it equal to -3 or -1 and the GIS line features that are translated receive the correct lineweight value.However, the layers themselves do not. The layer default lineweight appears to be controlled by the “Default Lineweight” parameter in the writer feature type. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to an option to select -3 or -1. Additionally, attempting to set that parameter to the previously defined attribute leads to a failure

Hi, I have two local authority boundary datasets that should align along a river but don’t and this is causing the Master Lookup between the two boundary datasets to be wrong. These two should be aligned and coterminous. How do I easily solve it? 

Hello,  it is possible to see a FME workspace CPU usage at the end of a job in the logging. However, when you activate a stream it will occupy an Engine and it will not give CPU usage in the logging. Is there a way to find or register the CPU usage of a stream that runs 24/7?

Newer versions of FME Form can be connected to FME Flow for the purpose of obtaining Deployment Parameter values at runtime:Given that FME Form is connected to Flow I was wondering if anyone knows of a way of obtaining details of that connection when a workspace is run in Form. It does not appear to be exposed anywhere.A workaround would be to create a Deployment Parameter in my Flow instances and reference that in Form but it seems there should be an out of the box solution to this.Specifically, what I want to do is to query the FME Flow API for the connected instance, without having to hard-code the FME Flow URL in the HTTPCaller.

I have a workbench with a RasterMosaicker that runs fine in 2021.2.6, but the same workbench throws an error in 2025.1 “Failed to mosaic the rasters”. Same error for version 2024.1.2.1.The error occurs only when setting the parameter “Overlapping Values” to “Composite Using Alpha Band”.Is there anything known causing issues regarding raster transformers in newer versions that might explain this?

Hello everyone,We just upgraded to FME Form 2024.2.1 and we currently encounter one problem. For the users, the personal database- and web connections were inititally not migrated. Thus we sent first a mail to the users that they coud export the database- and webconnections in FME Form 2023 and then import  the exported file in FME Form 2024. It looked like it solved the problem, however when the users logged in the next day on an new machine, they lost all their personal database-  and webconnections.We read the following link: Changes to Connection Storage in FME Form 2024 – FME Support Center and it became clear to us that's due to the new way that personal database- and webconnections are stored. Hello,I I am fairly inexperienced with some FME processes.My task at work is to extract text from DGN files and convert it to Annotation Feature classes in a GDB. I need to override the FontSize value that comes from DGN with a specific value in the GDB Annotation class, and all my attempts failed. Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about it? Hi all,I’m working with FME 2025.1 on a LandXML export-import workflow and encountering an issue: LandXML Reader and Writer do not have a Version 1.2 option. My goal is to export a corridor alignment, but the vertical alignment (profile) data is not coming through correctly. Without 1.2 support, how can I tolerate or work around these missing elements in FME? Specifically, I’m wondering: Is there a way to properly bring vertical alignment data from a LandXML 1.2 file into FME? Are there alternative formats or preprocessing steps to compensate for missing data? How can I avoid data loss on the Writer side, since 1.2 is not supported for export? Thanks in advance for any guidance!

For a specific Writer (for example Precisely MapInfo Extended TAB)Is there a way to see a history of changes and improvements from version to version of FME Form?I have v2022.1 installed, and I am researching if the Writer has changed or improved in v2025.I am aware that a Transformer has a version number specific to that Transformer, but a Writer’s version number is locked to the version number of FME Flow, so it is hard to quickly determine if the Writer has changed between versions of FME Form.

Hi All,I’m trying to calculate volumes on meshes in a dgn file. The dgn file represents rail embankment / earthworks (ballast, formation, etc.). Below a screengrab of the design:My current workaround is DGN Reader → SurfaceBuilder → SolidBuilder → VolumeCalculator but am finding that some of the meshes are not closed. Before calculating any volume I need to close the meshes but can’t work it out,Any idea about how close the unclose meshes? Thanks!

Hi,I’m looking for solutions to a problem that may not be solvable.I regularly need to refer to a spreadsheet from the NZ Electricity Authority (it’s open data).  At the moment I have to regularly download it from https://register.ea.govt.nz/ using the ‘Download’ button This downloads a dynamically time-stamped spreadsheet of the electricity industry participants and their relevant codes.I want to automate this with Form/Flow but this is a sticking point.  I’ve suggested to them that they expose this as a service for the industry, but the wheels move slowly if at all.Any idea on how to read, or more likely, automatically download this?  For the download I’m open to non-FME automations.

FME Form Excel writer warns of reserved characters, where none exist, in the names of my Named ranges and appends underscores to them. I am getting a lot of warnings similar the following:Excel Writer: Feature Type '/AH_4_3_Housed_Part_Time_Replacement' has been modified to '/AH_4_3_Housed_Part_Time_Replacement_' to avoid reserved characters for Named Ranges and Tables in Microsoft Excel This is unhelpful behaviour, can I avoid it?2025.2

I have configured all parameters on manage web services for Dropbox. But I am having to reauthenticate every time I run the workspace. What should I be checking? I also need to schedule it on Server. I am not being able to authorize it on Server as well. Any feedback is highly appreciated.  

About once or twice a year I have to dig out the SystemCaller, mostly just because I have to trigger a PowerShell command or script file. Without fail, I end up frustrated by the byzantine syntax (quotes galore) and limited way to capture output, finally succumbing to unnecessarily re-implementing the whole thing in Python.So my pick for the transformer that really needs some love and attention from the developers is the good-old SystemCaller :-)Do you also have a pet peeve Transformer that you think could be improved upon?

Below is a screenshot of my workspace that creates a new feature class (AttributeManager_6_Output). This feature class will be edited by end users in ArcGIS Pro. I need to bring that feature class back into the workspace and join it back to caputure those edits. My problem is that some of the attributes will be updated upstream as well. I need to capture those edits as well without overwriting the end user edits. How am I able to set the attribute conflict independently (some attributes from Left and some from Right) in the FeatureJoiner?  

When a database is updated using SpatialRelator, FeatureTypeFilter, and DatabaseUpdater Transformers from feature classes inherited from two different readers, the _relationship attribute disappears when the FeatureTypeFilter Update button is used. All DatabaseUpdater transformers are in the "incomplete transformer" status. When examining the DatabaseUpdater transformers, the _relationship values are red. Copying and pasting the same value fixes this. To avoid this issue, you must manually edit the FeatureTypeFilter, which is time-consuming.  

Hello Community,I wonder if anyone has recent experience with Bentley POD Reader. This reader requires installed and licensed Bentley Pointools, which has been deprecated for several years by now and can not be purchased anymore. Is there another way to read POD files with FME? Can Pointools be replaced with something else to enable POD Reader?Thank you 

Ever since the merging of SQLServer spatial and SQL Server non-spatial Reader types, my SQLCreators and SQLExecutors generate a warning:Microsoft SQL Server Reader: Table `___FME_Custom_SQL_Statement___' does not include a spatial column. Geometry will not be read In Form this is easily ignored, but it really messes up my Jobs overview dashboard on Flow, because it results in quite a lot of listings with warnings that do not need checking. And I can’t seem to find a way to tell FME that yes, I know, there is no geometry coming through in this sql, don’t worry about it because I did not select it - on purpose (or because it does not exist).I really do not want to turn off all warnings generically, I am just searching for a way to stop this particular warning. Before the merge it was easy: just use the non-spatial type, and the warning would go away. But that is not an option anymore unfortunately...

We have over 300 FME dataflows using multiple Oracle databases.  We are trying to figure out how to list all the different tables and schemas used by all the dataflows together.
