Hi all,I've just used the Emailer transformer for the first time. And I've run into a curious issue.I've added a local service mail address as BCC to all emails, but when I review the emails in the service inbox, they all seem to have no TO entry. However, some of the external TO adresses I'm sending to responds with an error, so they've obviously gotten an email.Is that caused by the Emailer sending separate mails to TO and BCC (and CC) ?Is this a bug or WAD ?Cheers Lars I

I'm trying to read a SpatiaLite table with a Primary Key Unique ID (PKUID) field, made in QGIS. All the fields of the SpatiaLite table can be read, except for this PKUID field. Even an AttributeExposer does not do the trick. Is there a reason for this?  For the moment, I created a workaround: I read the table, together with the spatial data, in a SpatiaLite reader. Then I read the same table in an SQLite reader, which can detect the PKUID field, but does not contain the spatial data. A FeatureMerger does the rest.

Hi,Im doing some test with elasticsearch and FME writer. I have a very simple workbench that reads (with directory reader) a folder with geojson files, read them with feature reader and dinamically writes to elasticsearch using the elasticsearch writer. The wb works pretty much ok on looping and sending all the jsons to elastic (on different types inside the same index), however it seems that the geometry field is lost when I write it to ES (although present in the geojson"features" : [  {  "type" : "Feature",  "geometry" : {  "type" : "Point",  "coordinates" : [ -0.8275947, 38.05902 ]  },  "properties" : {  "uwwCode" : "ES10030240001000E",  "uwwName" : "BENEJUZAR",  "uwwNUTS" : "ES521",  "fme_basename" : "EDAR_Q2011",  "SHAPE_GEOMETRY"

I am creating a Spatialite database with FME 2016.1 64 bit. I have both polygons and lines. Polygons shows up perfectly, but the lines are all over the place. I have added a picture showing the lines that should have depicted a road network in a municipality. Have anyone had the same experience or any idea why the lines drawn like this? I have been trying to adjust how ArcMap reads the data with the "query dialogue" but no success. My ArcGIS version is 10.3.1

Hi, I have a xml that unfortunately isn't very structured for me to extract attributes easily. Every <en> line contains attributes that I want to put into specific columns in a structured table.   For example:  <en>3121 </en>  <en> Colorado City </en>  <en> 50.852010 </en>  <en> -89.672167</en>  <en> 5755 0555 </en>  <en> Map 593 N10 Arizona Country Directory </en>  <en> Office </en>  <en>3020 </en>  <en> Toronto </en> <en> 50.578010 </en>  <en>-88.887679 </en>  <en> 5875 1234 </en>  <en> Map 105 K6 Ontario Country Directory </en>  <en> Agency </en>  and so on...   I have 2588 rows of this and there is a pattern. I am trying to specify the exact extent of my Raster DEM generated from LiDAR data. The lower left (origin) corner coordinates are 500000,5600000; 5m cell size; 500x500 cells, therefore upper right corner coordinates are 502500, 5602500. I can Specify Ground Extents in the NumericRasterizer, but not in the RasterDEMGenerator. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Does anyone know if there's anything in the FME store or similar that would allow you to perform the same calculation across multiple attributes, e.g. multiply all selected attributes by 0.0001

Hello,I am using an Adobe Geospatial PDF writer (pdf2d) to create a PDF with a map where layers can be turned on and off from within the PDF. Alongside the map, I am also putting in borders, logos, and the map licence. I am using the PDFPageFormatter transformer to place all these as I wish.My problem is that every feature type is appearing in the layer control within the PDF. That is to say, even features like logo images, page borders and map licence can be switched on and off by the user from within the PDF.What is the best way to make some feature types not appear in the layer list in the PDF, while still being visible?

I have 13000+ CSV files, all containing around 13000 rows. These CSV files are arranged in 146 different folders. All CSV files have the same schema with ; as separator. These CSV files contain about 175 million rows of data combined. The folders are named as seen in the picture below (for example ...\\CSV_folders\\5785xxx)CSV files are named like these:I already tried to copy all CSV files to same directory and run them to one GDB with FME. This went well... but resulted too heavy ESRI GDB that takes forever to search through. (175 million rows, around 20GB)Now I would need to make things a bit differently. I would like to work with FME to create one ESRI Geodatabase. It should contain tables named like these folders containing CSV files. A table in the GDB should have all the CSV files loaded in the table, that are inside the original folder. This would split my 175 million rows to 146 tables, making it a bit faster to search trough with Arcmap.So my problem is, how to make FME read

I have a workspace that contains an ArcGIS Portal writer with mixed-case field names. It runs without a problem when first creating the feature service on ArcGIS Portal. However, when I attempt to use that same workspace to write updates to that feature service, I see warnings similar to the following: ArcGIS Online Feature Service Writer: Attribute 'myFieldName' on feature type 'Feature_Type' does not match any field on the corresponding layer/table. The attribute will be ignoredIf I check the feature service itself, I can see that all the mixed-case field names have actually been set to lowercase (so, myFieldName is actually set to myfieldname).

Hi,This is a very simple question. I have the XML reader crash over an XML file in one location and not with a copy of the same file in another location.Is there are limit to how long the path names given to the reader may be ?In ye olden days I remember something about 127 characters, but I think that's increased significantly since then.My original file path name length was 120 characters, 129 if the backslashes are doubled (C string). This errs.My alternative location is only half that, and that works.Both locations are on the same network drive (and share).Cheers Lars I.

I'm trying to convert XYZ point cloud to DEM so I can generate a Minecraft world. After searching and reading "How to make Minecraft worlds" article I saw the Norway example (las2MinecraftFMEpediais workbench) by @dmitribagh similar to what I'm trying to implement, unless it is using classification attribute values (e.g. 2 for ground, or 5 for vegetation), while my XYZ point cloud doesn't have these attribute values.In the Norway example, the point cloud has another classification attribute values for water (9 or 18), while the one I have has no points for water or spaces under bridge for example. I'm attaching a picture of my dataset in the FME inspector. How could that XYZ be used to make a Minecraft world out of it? Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks

Hello world of Safe!A few transformers create objects with the following attribute tables 'Table 1' and 'Table 2'. The attribute 'ID' describes where A is B. I want to combine these tables like you see it in the picture under 'Goal'. First I thought I could merge them with the FeatureMerger, but after that the output just shows the four rows with the ids which exists in both tables.Important: The ids in Table 1 exist in Table 2 in every case. How can I I set the workspaceRunner parameter 'FME Workspace' to my FME server path containing uploaded workspaces?I have an attribute with the workspace name that gets set dynamically, so I know which workspace to call, but rather than set the path to a network location I would like to run workspaces that exist in the FME server environment.

Hi,I've added a Python script to be run in a workspace after the translation finishes. I.e. the "FME_END_PYTHON_ENC" tag in the FME file.I can see that it hasn't been run (by other means), but I can't find neither the above tag nor keywords from the script mentioned anywhere in the translation log file.How can I determine if the shutdown script has been run or not (if I can't determine it by other means) ?If it errs, I would like to see some error messages, so I can correct it.Cheers Lars I.

Hi,My current FME workbench uses an AttributeFilter to create separate output ports for distinct attribute values. Each of these output ports then connect to the same 'series of transformers'.Base on the input file that is passed to the Reader, the name and count of the attribute values is bound to change and I would import the attribute values in AttributeFilter everytime to take care of this change and then add or delete the 'series of transformers' according to the output ports of the AttributeFilter.In order to find an automated way to the above, I know I have to somehow loop through each of the Attribute values and pass it to the series of transformers repeatedly. The first thing I did is to create a custom transformer that takes care of the series of transformers and have also added a loop to it.Can someone suggest what could be the way that the attribute values could be fed to the custom transformer and also tell the workbench when to stop.Thank you !(Can python

I am trying time entry from a SQL table to Excel to be imported into our time entry software. I want to create one worksheet that contains all employee entries and then an individual worksheet for each employee in the same workbook. I can get it to do one or the other but not both at the same time. SO far I know if I define the sheet name - Time Entry - I can write all the data to one sheet. Or if I set the sheet name to - Employee Name - I get the individual sheets for each employee. I have tried coping the writer and defining the sheet name both ways but that doesn't work.

I have a scheduled script in FME Server that has to run every half hour during week days. However, I have to schedule it to run every half hour for 24 hours a day for every day in FME Server 2015, so that it runs at night and on weekends when it doesn't have to. Are there any plans to improve the granularity of the schedule in a future FME Server version?

Hi ,I have been looking at this article on how to write to microsoft word with FME. I am trying to write out to a table in word. Results are good and I can produce a table like example below. Application Number Application Type Decision 1234 Retention Permission Granted 1235 Permission APPLICATION DECLARED However what my requirements are is to build this table horizontally and then group it by application number. So I would have 1 table per application like below. Application Number 1234 Application Type Permission Decision Granted Application Number 1235 Application Type Permission Decision APPLICATION DECLARED INVALID This is the section in the sample workspace where the table is created from a customer transformer called MSWord tableThe table itself is defined from here- I was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to define the table to produce vertical output?? I am trying to get the last 6 or 7 characters from an attribute called [event_name], and am using the built-in Open Text Editor on the AttributeManager transformer to extract this substring. But it comes out like this:@ReplaceString(@Substring(@Value(event_name),@FindRegEx(@Value(event_name),M[1-9]),@StringLength(@Value(event_name))-@FindRegEx(@Value(event_name),M[1-9])),-,_)which I think looks horrible and is difficult to understand. Is there a way I could break this down into multiple lines with local variables, like you do in a Python startup script?

Hi Friends,The problem is distance marker's preserve behavior. I have 14 lakhs features. But distance marker waits till last feature to come. after 9 lakh fme gives memory issue and comes out. I dont know why Distance marker to wait. because this is not group function. it can send the each features points as soon as it completes each feature. and write immediately. if the distance marker will preserve the incoming features, then definitely memory issue will come. how can i do that ?
