On a FME Server with job routing enabled I set the tm_tag parameter for a job by using the Direct URL Example from the WebUI and add the parameter to the end of the string. This works with the default dataset, but when I upload a temporary data set as a source data, the job fails, reporting the data was not found. How can I use a temporary upload in the Direct URL to run a workspace with the tm_tag parameter set?

How can I tell if FME Server is registering my custom Python interpreter? Is this recorded in any log file?

Hello fellow, GISers.Simple yet complex problem. I want to export 1 feature per table for a schema in my PostGIS-database for test purposes. I want to output the data to shapefiles with filename=table name and output folder=schema name. I want the whole setup to be dynamic since I want to run it later on all my schemas (a schema list). This seems more tricky than I thought it would be. Any ideas?

Is there a way to have schemamapper read the name of a source table (shapefile), and populate a target attribute field with that name in the writer? Please see the attachment for illustration of question/goal.

Hello All, FME Newby here. I have two separate csv tables with one matching column. The tables correspond to a hierarchical network and are filled with their ID's. Please take a look at the network image below.CP's are always connected to TX's. Some TX's but not all, have upstream DTECH's. I already have traced which CP connects to which corresponding upstream TX. I have separately traced which TX connects to which DTECH or if they are connected at all to any. I need to merge these two table as one. Please see the example image below. I tried FeatureMerger matching TX_ID across both tables, but the duplicate TX_ID's are dropped. Any help would be greatly appreciated in this case thanks!

Hi all, I am trying to find a way to split an aggregate feature based on nodes or points. The aggregate is an aggregation of lines. I tried PointOnLineOverlayer, it does a fine job splitting where the nodes are but it deaggregates the input and outputs every single line it seems. I need output of the original aggregates only broken up where the nodes are. I tried Clipper. The output remains the same. It seems points are rejected as clippers. Any suggestions for a transformer to use? Please and thanks

Hi all, I believe this should be simple but being new to FME, I am having the hardest of times. I have a few points. I have a network of lines. I need to find network segments which intersect with the point. If they do, then all the segments that touch the point, their ID attribute should be transferred to that point. Some points are only touching one line whereas others are touching more. I tried using SpatialFilter with Merge attributes selected, and checking for intersection or touching, but for a candidate point, it only merges and outputs the first segment that it touches and discards the others. I have tried PointOnLineOverlayer... that seems to not even output lines. Not sure what's going on there. Please take a look at the attached picture. Hello everyone!Long time user of FME and a big lurker here!I am currently designing a FME Server Workbench where I expect a user to upload spreadsheets that does not have any sort of schema requirements aside from Lat/Long and a prefix of 'h_' for any hyperlinks in their spreadsheet.I currently have two branches in my workbenchBRANCH 1With Dynamic Reader and Writers the process is relatively simple, but my issue is with the hyperlinks. My hyperlink URLs need to be wrapped with <a href> </a> tags in order to work on web app builder mapping services. This branch creates the points out of the provided Lat/Long and accepts schemas for an increase in character width for larger hyperlinksBRANCH 2In order to test attribute names that contain 'h_', I used an attributeexploder and was able to determine which fields have a h_ thus needing the <a href> tags. Dear FME community,I have a MapInfo text dataset and created polygons which are the bounding box around that text. The problem is that the polygons have different heights. What I want is that the height of the areas is the same. The length of the area can vary according to the text length. For example: The bbox of "NL Plauen" in the lower left should be as high as the bbox of "NL Zschopau" in the center (in the image it is slightly smaller). Or another one: The three areas of "Stadt Leipzig", "Stadt Chemnitz" and "Stadt Dresden" should be the same height. Because of the different sizes of the letters, the BoundingBoxReplacer creates different polygons.I already tried it with the bufferer, but this one increases the size at every side. I only want to increase the height, not the length.Any ideas of how this can be achieved?Kind regards and many thanksThomas

I'm trying to install FME desktop on a VM that's configured with a very small C:\\ drive which contains just the OS. All the program files are installed on the D:\\ drive. When prompted for installation folder I'm changing it to the D:\\ drive. I'm getting an error that there is not enough space on the drive, then I get an error 2755. I've tried installing it on my own workstation, on the C:\\ drive and it installs properly.

Hello,I need to render texts onto a raster. The MapnikRasterizer (Text Symbolizer) works as expected in almost all cases, but if you set the Orientation parameter, the text will be rotated around the center of the text itself, not around the specified placement point.In this image, the red circle is the placement point and it illustrates the result that the same string "text ----- string" has been rotated with 0, 30, 60, and 90 degrees.The requirement is to rotate the text around the placement point - the red circle in the image above. How can I do that?

Hi all,  According to the docs you have lots of wildcard options available in the"file and directory pathnames reader" ("add reader->Format: Directory and files pathnames). Including greedy searching all subdirectories recursively or fine-grained, hairsplitting controlled directory and file name searching.  http://docs.safe.com/fme/reader_writerPDF/path.pdf   So this kind of structure really should be a breeze: C:\\data2\\dirB\\dirB_1\\Newfeature.txt  C:\\data2\\dirB\\dirB_2\\Newfeature.txt C:\\data2\\dirB\\dirB_3\\Newfeature.txt (somewhat simplified).    So I set the source directory to C:\\data2\\dirB and fiddle with the Path filter syntacts.  **\\*  C:\\data2\\dirB\\**\\*  C:\\data2\\dirB\\dirB_?\\*   None of these work. No, I am not kidding. Go to the PDF I linked, scroll down to the heading Path filter. Hi,I have a line network (water pipes) that I need to cut only at certain points (valves).I first use the Aggregator to join the whole network into one single geometry, and then use the PointOnLineOverlayer to split the network with my designated points.However, the original aggregate isn't respected, so the resulting lines are divided many more places than defined by my cutting points. It seems like the aggregate is dissolved into its orginal parts prior to the cutting taking place.Is this "works as designed" ?If so, is there a way to keep the aggregated network intact while cutting it at certain points only ?I've attempted to have the Aggregator generate both a "Homogeneous" and a "Heterogeneous" collection, it makes no difference.CheersLars I.

Hello FME experts,I create an ORA table with in the format parameters:- spatial column GEOMETRIE- create spatial Index YES- drop existing Index YES- spatial index name TST_IDXI also need an index on the attribute ID so I use the SQL statement to Excecute after Translation:- CREATE INDEX table1_i ON table1 (ID)This works fine.Question: How can I create an other index on a different table also with a spatial index.I put an extra line into the SQL statement as follows:CREATE INDEX table1_i ON table1 (ID)  CREATE INDEX table2_i ON table 2 (ID)I have used seperations between the lines (; , ' ') but nothing seems to work error was `ORA-02158: ....How can I but indexes on different tables after I created an ORA-table?

Hi all! I am new to FME. I am trying to find parent child connections within a network tree. For example, there are nodes or objects called "CP". All CP's are connected to "TX"s. I would like to find which CP is connected to which TX. Multiple CP's can be connected to a TX. I would like to export a table like the following: CP TX1 12 13 14 24 2Which suggests 3 CPs are connected to TX 1 and which ones. There is a whole network of lines connecting them. So I have to somehow trace those lines until a CP connects to a TX. Sometimes CP's are connected to TX's via multiple line segmentsI am looking at SpatialFilter, PointOnLineOverlayer or ShortestPathFinder. As I mentioned, I am quite new to FME and having a difficult time getting started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
