Hi,I'm faced with a task, where I need to duplicate some elements with regard to several attribute values (if they have one). It's not a filter since any of the attributes may or may not have a value, so each oruginal element may yields between 0 and N copies of itself.I can't seem to find a suitable transformer for such a task. Can anyone point me towards one.I would prefer not to have to hard code this with multiple transformer paths with several transformers.Cheers.

I'm working on a project for FME Server where a user will be able to pass variables into a URL and get a download of a dataset. One of the requirements that I'm hitting a snag on is how to create a parameter that can be used to name the output file (geodatabase, pdf, or shapefile). Right now it's defaulting to dataset.gdb.TIA,David

Hello,in the picture there are lines and polygons. Both have a code attribute. The idea here is to clip the lines with polygons having the same code! E.g. for polygon 791238(one the left of the picture), lines within yellow block having the same code as this polygon, and they need to be clipped. So I thought the process will be:  for each polygon:      select the lines having the same code as the polygon    clip selected lines with the polygonHow can I do this in FME? Or are there approaches?Thanks!

Hi all,I am updating a cell of an Excel sheet using a SQLExecutor. The update of the cell works fine but I have a formula links to this cell that doesn't update.I check in Excel and the Woorkbook Calculation parameter is set to automatic.As I have more than 1000 formulas, I don't want to clik on them and press enter (the only solution I found for now) to update them.I put in attached the workspace.

Hi I'm not very familiar with ESRI software. I have created an update/insert process on a Layer I created in AGOL and I noticed even though I specifed 500 char for a field in FME writer, it is truncated to 254 when written to AGOL. Does AGOL adhere to the shp limitations of 254 char max or have I missed something ? ThanksCiara

Hello,I have configured a SystemCaller to delete all files and sub-directories within a specified directory, without deleting the specified directory. Originally, the plan was to have this at the end of the workspace, but now, we want the directory to be emptied at the start of the workspace, before any of the readers are initiated. I know this can be done using a startup Python script, but I was wondering if there is a way to call a startup command line command (so I can use the code I already wrote). I thought about changing my first reader to a FeatureReader, then using a creator to initiate the SystemCaller, then have the SystemCaller initiate the FeatureReader... but I was wondering if there was a more direct way to do this?Thanks!Courtney

Hi, There used to have a transformer for generating Great Circle Routes in Google Earth developed by Dmitri in the FME Store. I can't seem to locate it anywhere now. I am working on a project to plot the flight routes between airports and this tool would be a time saver. Please advise if it is still available.  Regards, Lawrence

In a SQLExecuter, I'm using a SELECT statement where PKey IN (@Value(ID) I'm getting the oracle error:ORA-01795: maximum number of expressions in a list is 1000,as the number of of concatenated ID's passing the query is exceeding the 1000 limit.so I used an Aggregator and a Smapler trying to split the stream of data entering the SQLExecuter (every 1000 features), but that didn't work as I wish.. (pass a pack of every 1000 features to SQLEXECUTER)Any idea?

Dear FME-Users,  I’ve 3 input rasters with the same CRS, extension and resolution.  The aim is to get 1 output raster by combining all pixel values.  For each pixel the highest value from the import rasters should be used.  In the attachment you’ll find 3 rasters. The color cyan is “low” and the colors to red are “higher”.  Do you have an idea?  Thank you so much.  Best regards!  Konrad

Can anyone provide advice regarding the easiest method to swap raster bands around? For example, I have a 4 band raster, Band{0} Interpretation Type (Red16) Band{1} Interpretation Type (Green16) Band{2} Interpretation Type (Blue16) Band{3} Interpretation Type (Uint16) And I want to complete the following swapping Band{3} -> becomes -> Band{0} Band{0} -> becomes -> Band{1} Band{1} -> becomes -> Band{2} Band{2} -> becomes -> Band{3} Is it possible to manipulate/flip the bands directly within the raster? (How would this be done?) Or do the bands need to be separated into singular elements and then recombined and ordered? (How would this be done?) Also relating to this example, in the source raster described above, the Interpretation type of band{3} differs from Bands{0}..{2}. If the bands were swapped would I need to also need to change the interpretation types as below? Band{3} Interpretation Type (Uint16) -> becomes -> Band{0} Interpretation Type

Dear FME-community, I use NetCDF-Data for a FME-Transformation as input (Reader). The problem is that there’s no CRS (Coordinate Reference System) deposited. I've add a screenshot (Inspector) in the attachment. "Koordinatensystem" stands for CRS and "Unbekannt" stands for unknown (Line 2).What I’m doing wrong? I've written a workspace in the 2015 version of FME, with five readers, which all have one column headed 'REFERENCE'. The transformer 'DuplicateRemover' is producing two outputs: 'Unique' and 'Duplicate', but the inspectors reveal that both outputs contain unique values. In 'Duplicate', there are both duplicate values and unique values. Why is this, and how can I resolve this to produce only duplicate values in the 'Duplicate' output?

I have a simple workflow trying to find a shortest path between 2 points. I am using a Cook County (Chicago) road network and a Creator to enter from and to points. I have a dataset which needs joining. I need FME to identify which attribute values differ between touching features along the split, preferably producing a single attribute containing a message eg. "These attributes differ: #, #, #, etc". There are hundreds of attributes and I can't think of an easy way to do it.Thanks!

Can I use something similar to update and ERSI File Geodatabase. I am trying to use the fme_db_operation but no data is being updated

I am currentley using FME 2015 and i want to use dgn styler to , amongst other things, set the color of polygon object to a microstation V8 dgn file.  For some Features i need to set the rgb value, for other features the indexed color from the color table. But in the resulting dgn file i do not see the desired result at all. For rgb values i use , for example 124, 211,64 values, for the indexed color a numerial value from 0-255 range.  What am i doing wrong here ?

Hello There we build a service to doeload data direct from the Data base , some time the user cear a new view or table that represent layer we in the request we will send the table name as parameter but worksapce need to scan the availability of that table each time the request commes and complet the process for the down load , this way we dont have to predefine the table in the work sapce in advance Any idea how we acheive that

I can't find anything in the documentation about how how FME Server stores published parameters in scheduled jobs.Are published parameters that are passwords encrypted? Or does FME server store these parameters as clear text behind the password dots? See the screenshot below that shows exactly what I'm talking about:

Some of our systems have one and some have the other. We have separate license servers of ESRI and FME. The Data Interop ext. does not use an FME Desktop license while the FME Ext for ArcGIS ext. does. What is the difference between the two?
