I am noticing that even if I set my workspace in Workbench to terminate on rejected features, it runs without error on FME Server. Is the rejected feature handling a workbench-only feature? I am expecting to see the same behavior on FME Server. I'm using 2017.1 in my testing. Thanks.

Hi.  I want to remove, or make transparent all areas where Band 0 and Band 1 are both 0. The rasterbandnodatasetter only looks at band 0 and sets those cells to nodata, which also removes information from the raster image. Is there a way to remove just the black areas (i.e. wher band 0 and 1 = 0)? I have tried to clip the image with a polygon but the black areas still remain. Is there a way to set the band values as attributes?  

Hi FME'ers, on the FeatureMerger, I get the rejection code 'EXTRA_REFERENCE_FEATURE. Does anyone know what this could mean?The problem occurs on a Supplier object, coming from AutoCAD Map3D, with OD objects. It merges with an Oracle table, using two attributes. When checking visually, the attributes should match, but it doesn't come that far because of the rejection.

I have a point file containing instructions along routes, lets call this the major decision points. Each collection of points belong to a route and has a route id. This data is all contained within one file, which can be made of points belong to numerous routes.I then have another file containing points for all junctions along the route, again this data has a route ID that is the same as the previous file for the given route. Lets call these the minor decision points and again this file is made up of points belonging to different route IDs.The problem is that I need to remove the minor decision points when they are duplicates for major decision points, however, these should only be removed if they belong to the same route ID. To complicate maters some of these routes will overlap.My initial idea was to create a loop transformer that processes features that belong to the same route ID, and then remove the duplicate minor decision points this way. You shouldn't notice anything but lots has changed under the hood.Encryption, private and public… New in FME 2017 is how encryption is used with the database connection file where your connection information is stored.We now encrypt for public access as well as private access. In the past anyone with FME installed could read the connection file as FME contained a global encryption key to access the database connection file. This didn’t give them access to see passwords but they could use the connection information in FME.Now, public access to the connection file is controlled by giving FME access to a public key file. By default this public key is stored in the same location as the database connection file so we do recommend moving that to a secondary location where FME can be pointed to in order to access it. Hi guys,I've been trying to auto-generate cadastral parcels using the start and end coordinates and radius values, and the process is working, but the python caller seems to be using the wrong centre point to generate the arcs in some instances (as there are always two potential points in trig). I'm using the init(twoPoints, radius, counterClockwise) function, where the sign of the radius indicates direction. I'm attaching a workbench which contains the generation of a section of blocks and the corresponding section area, and the outer boundaries of the two should match, but don't. I believe this is a trigonometry issue, the math behind the caller isn't working for an arc that's greater than a semi-circle. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I am inserting entries in two Oracle tables. I want to relate the two tables based on primary key (ID). This ID is generated as a sequence in the writer. Is there a way I can get the expected "netxval" ID, so I can set the relation ID-attribute before insertion? Or can I do this in another way?

Hi,I'm investigating the impact that the move to remove https support for TLS1.1 and below may have on my processes running in fme desktop and server.Does anyone know what http clients the httpcaller uses?I assumed it was the client installed on the OS, but i'm running fmeserver/desktop on a windows2008R2 server with IE8 installed. If i look at a TLS1.2 only site using IE8 on this server it complains like mad because i'm trying to use TLS1.0, but if i use the httpcaller from inside fmedesktop and server it connects just fine using TLS1.2. Leading me to deduce FME installs and uses it's own client. I would like to know what it is. (libcurl_fme.dll probably has something to do with it? i also noticed an ssl certificate in the install dir.)It must pick up internet proxy details from the default browser though right?regards,Nick(specifically i'm currently running FME 2015.0, but i'm looking to upgrade to 2018.1)

Hi there,I've been toying a lot with rasters lately, but I've hit a bit of a snag. I need to create a raster from shape files that has a resolution based on another step that takes place in my workbench. I'll explain:So first thing I have is a set of polyline geometries. In quite few steps (BoundingBoxAccumilator ->GeometryCoarcer ->Chopper ->LengthCalculator-> StatisticsCalculator) I know what the longest and shortest edge is of the bounding box of my geometry, by using the Minimum and Maximum based on the lengths calculated. Anyway, this is just to give some context, it is not the problem area. I did inspect this output and I do get for example Minimum:1000, Maximum 1500.I also have a FeatureReader separately attached to the BoundingBoxAccumilator mentioned above, which calls a WMS layer and outputs a raster based on the inside of the bounding box. Naturally this will also have a Rows/Columns of 1000x1500 as it uses the same bounding box as my geometries.Now t

We have a need to read some spatial data that is zipped up, but several of the zips are then nested inside another zip, just to make things fun. Like this:c:\\temp\\top.zip\\1.zip\\1.gmlc:\\temp\\top.zip\\2.zip\\2.gmlFME can read say GML from inside a Zip, but not GML from a Zip inside a Zip. Anyone got any magic to unpack the top level Zip? I suspect the answer is Python, perhaps as either a PythonCaller or Startup script and then I could use a FeatureReader to get at the data at the next level.Seems a bit contrived but its a genuine requirement as its the way a product is shipped. 1 zip file was clearly not enough!Thanks

Hi everyone,In my organization we have some users of FME desktop and up till now I have done manual installations on every computer. But now I would like our technicians to deploy it automatically. But they are have trouble with the msi-file that can be downloaded on Customer downloads page. Is there an other msi-file that doesn´t hold 3 other msi-files or an exe-file somewhere for download? 2018 and 64-bit version is the one I´m looking for.Thanks in advanceJenny

Hello everybody,I´m trying to find way, how to write geometry in AIXM in situation, where I have to merge 4 tables to gain geometry. Concretely - I have prepared dataset to write into AIXM format, Vertical Structures feature type. Hello,I'm using the PointOnPoint Overlayer to find if any points overlap. When I use the transformer and let the workbench run, I get an attribute value of _overlap: 72, for each individual point. None of the points overlap (see attached picture). I thought I would get an overlap value of 1 because the points do not overlap. Is there a reason why each point is getting an overlap of 72?*the total number of points in the file is 72*Thanks! David

Hello allIm trying to Drape 2D FME points, (Which are centre points of trees extracted from LAS data) and trying to drape these points on a Surface model. At the moments all the points are level under by surface. I cant seem to be able to drapeI have tried using the SurfaceDrapper but my points stay the same level. Any ideasThanks in advance
