Dear FME community, I have CityGML tiles which I converted into KML or KMZ files. They are in a certain folder structure. Now if I open single KML files they will only display in 2D with the inspector transformer. Is there a way to load all the files that belong to the KML structure? So that it displays in 3D? When I upload it in Google Earth it works just fine. At the end I would like to convert these KML or KMZ files into 3D CAD files like dwg or obj. Thank you very much for your help. With kind regardsChristian Lendl

I have a 2D point dataset with elevation information. They are not evenly distributed on the field. However, I would like to create a DEM based on the information I have. Which steps should I follow? My final goal is to calculate the Surface Volume. Therefore I need to generate a DEM. Thanks in advance.

I have a line and a point dataset. The lines have measures, generated with the MeasureGenerator. Some lines are partly overlapping, so they share part of their route. The lines have a "ROUTENAME" and the points have the same attribute, indicating which line they are associated to. Now I want to derive the measure value of the points along the route, but only on the route they are associated to. How can I make the PointOnLineOverlayer and MeasureExtractor take into account the "ROUTENAME". Now some points get the wrong measure (of another route on the same location). Any ideas to help me out?

HiI'm trying to read a raster from pdf plan 08 that can be downloaded from his site:https://challenges.dk/en/challenge/banedanmark-digitisation-cable-drawingsThe plan includes i raster feature. I can view it ok in Chrome but when I try to view it in FME all the RGB and A pixels values are 0 and th plan is not visible. Any idea how to fix this?

Hey all, I'm playing around with fme server and the automations. I've got an interesting usecase. There is a SFTP that im wachting with fme server for creation events. I see as and output you get the filepath en filename. Now i want to grab that file within a workspace. I tried with the FTP caller. Is it possible to use the output keys to set up the URL in the ftp caller if so how so? Cheers

i have a small cartographic map in pdf format ,i have added it in my workspace then i have clipped it ,and i tried to write it again in Adobe geospatial pdf by feature writer transformer ,i get an empty file .it does not want to open .what i did wrong ?i would like to save it again in pdf ,how could i achieve it ? is there a way to read pdf as Raster .Thanks for help Fme 2018

do we have method instead of creator to add text in pdf ouput file ? but i would like to do that without opening the workspacemy text that i want to write in pdf ,it will change and i do not like to open the workspace everytime to change it .when i am using quick translator ,could i add also empty field and write the text that i want to see in pdf out from workspace .is there method to do that,because the name of pdf file should change from time to time y.Thanks for help FME2018

I cannot understand why I get the error message MS SQL Server Spatial (JDBC) Writer: Error writing feature. Error: Attribute 'DATECOLLECTED' does not contain a valid timestamp The timestamp I want to write is for the moment hard coded as 2021-07-20.The databse accept this format confirmed with successful update SQL update dbo.Featureset "DATECOLLECTED" = '2021-07-20'where ID = ... Why does FME fail to write to my db? Hello everyone!I have a sample Revit file which contains the basic elements of a Revit file.I am interested in performing certain geometric tests through the FME, for example: Are certain elements in a place where they are not supposed to be present, Is a certain element in the right room,Does the element of a toilet for example, have enough space according to the standard we will define.And so on.When I approached the task, I was sure that the FME would be able to solve it without any problem at all, and then reality hit me.Any action I try to do with the help of the transformers I know (I work mostly in the GIS world, and know it's a little different from BIM), I do not succeed.For example:I intentionally inserted a foundations between the walls, and I expected to see that when I make a clip between the wall and the foundations, one object will be inside.What am I missing here?Do I need to move the 3D objects through another process before the required actions can be performed?Or

I have a unique value logger attached to a table and a workspace runner. It took me a while to realize it, but what it does is goes through each unique value and runs the entire 'child' fme once for each unique value, but it runs all unique values each time it runs . I put a test filter on the input table in the workspace runner workspace so that it only has one unique value to 'give' the runner and that solved the problem.This seems very strange but it works. Does anyone know why this works like this and if there's a less 'hacky' way? Thank you,Randy McGregor 

I am essentially looping through httpcaller results and need a way to pass a value from the last record returned in a loop, I dont know how many records will be returned. I was using the stats calc to get the max value but that is blocking the loop from running within the one workbench. Does anyone have any suggestions, thank you

After upgrading to FME Server from 2020.0 to 2021.1, I have noticed that all my server apps show a header that is displayed over my header logo for the page that says "Run Workspace". I have tested this with existing and new server apps, as well as with multiple browsers. Does anybody know how to remove this? FME Server Build2021.121607 - Win64

We have an issue where the license server (flex) is going through loads of ports which are closed before finding an open one, as a result everytime we try to run FME it hangs for about 30s waiting for the license ping back, is there anything we can do to try to consistently use an open port? We dont seem to have issues with other licenses that are hosted on that server.

i have more than one input ,they are connecting in seperated input ports of pdf page formatter transformer but i have only one port output .how could i rearrange layer orders for each input .if i get all of them from only one output porti would like to show some layers down and others up  FME 2018

I'm in a jam. Installed a transformer from FME hub and then after tweaking it was not able to revert back to the original. The original took on the definition(?) of the tweaked one. When I try to download it fresh, it gives me the tweaked one. I have a feeling it lives somewhere, but can't find it. How do you purge a bum transformer? I tried to delete the tweaked version and it crashed every time. No good. Any ideas? I can't be the only one. Thanks

It takes in 3 parameter,Input file gdbFeatureClass nameOutput file gdbWhat it does, is to copy the contends of the featureclass to the outputfile gdb and I would like to convert it to FME Can some help me with this conversion? Please remember it may be configured for any filegdb and any featureclass name so a static linking won't work. My initial findings is the use of "Generic" option of FeatureReader
