I'm making an ETL to convert some features from an geodatabase SDE to Autocad DWG-files. It is working well, but i'm getting an error.AutoCAD Writer: Shape file 'ltypeshp.shx' or 'ltypeshp.shx' not found when trying to resolve shape ''It has no consequences for the output, but it is bottering me. Any idea what the problem could be. Am i missing some parameter?

I have an Oracle database with about 500,000 entries. I want to read in 1 feature for each unique value of 'DEVICE_TYPE'. Is there a select or where clause I can use to do this?

If i have an esri fgdb that has no features in it. To be used for a template.I want to validate data coming from the field against these coded domains values in the template. But i can't see how to get the domain values. I have the "resolve domain" checked on. I can see that probably having the single merged feature as features will not work as you get literally NOTHING.i have also tried individual feature types as both features, and metadata.As features I get no features (of course), as metadata I get 1 feature for each featuretype (and have enabled ALL format attributes for each featuretype). But, there is no "ATTRIB_resolved" attribute. So using the FME Hub "Read_ESRI_GDB_Domain_Data" custom transformer doesn't even work. It seems the only interface that will allow this is through the esri "KLUNK KLUNK" domains/subtypes "clickamilliontimes" interface with no output.anybody else experience this?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the amount of free disk space using the FME Server API? I presume I could use a SystemCaller transformer and write out the information somewhere and access it that way, but wondering if there is an easier way. Just looking to get the same disk space details that are logged when a job runs (see screenshot). Thanks

Hey guys, I have XML Meta data files which I read and aggregate to one table to write them in a ArcSDE. The SDE is an Enterprise Geodatabase and the platform is SQL Server. To Connect to that SDE I need username and password. I use the FME Workbench directly in ArcGIS Pro and my connection to the database is existing. When I use the Writer "ArcSDE Geodb" FME is asking me for "Connection file". How do I get such an file? Or is there another way to publish the output directly in the SDE? Thank you in advance!Take careCheers,Fabian

Hello! I have a problem while trying to read the data from postgresql (I'm not an expert). Everything seems fine with database connection (test is successful - also I'm able to connect with the same parameters from psql).The reader is created, I can see the attributes of chosen postgresql table.Everything goes well until I hit the RUN button.Then I get two types of errors: Error executing SQL command ('SELECT c.relhasoids AS oids FROM pg_class...Error executing SQL command ('declare "public_xxxxx_crsr" cursor... Does anybody have some experience with this and can share some guidance. Thanks in advance!

Hello.I have a layer of lines and a table of observations on these lines.The line observation table contains the ID of the line on which the observation is made as well as its distance from the line origin. I would like to build a layer of points along the lines containing the information of the observations respecting the distance of the observations to the origin. Do you have any ideas? My research has only allowed me to create points in a regular way without being able to assign the attributes of the observations. I am a beginner in FME, thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello, I'm experiencing difficulty transforming a .las file to Mojang Minecraft format, as I receive an error stating that the Z coordinates exceed the allowed parameters (0-255). I've found no straightforward way to manually set the maximums and minimums before transforming. I've tried to scale the .las, but the feature is imprecise and results in distorted structures. ​Is there a way to set minimum and maximum coordinates prior to transforming?

When I use Python to try and post a schedule to FME Server using the v3 api, it always creates a Unhandled Exception on the server-side. I can view the exception in the Catalina log. I'm unsure why, but it thinks the payload isn't JSON even though it is. Has anyone been able to successfully post a schedule to the schedule endpoint using Python or other language and can post an example? I am creating an automation to delete a large number of features from sde. The features have a grouping attribute that i am hoping will help make this doable by automating to fme server and passing one group at a time while changing the flag upon completion. then on to the next group in the next automation job. There are aver 77million features in the egdb (sde). I have the grouping attribute in another database (sql flat table). and i am able to query that data quickly with e.g. [path_windows_unc] LIKE $(path_windows_unc)the same query on the sde table takes hours. I am unable to see the sde database when i try to set up a pre-fetch with sqlexecutor or databasejoiner, inlinequerier. How can i optimize getting the data needed without reading all 77million features?

Hello,I'm currently having a problem with my PostgreSQL and Postgis writers.When the feature operation is set to "INSERT", the INSERT is perform on all columns of the table instead of just the columns that are specified in the attribute definition.It result in empty data on columns that arn't defined in the feature attributes but have a default value in the DB. For exemple :I have a table with 4 columns (column_1, column_2, column_3, column_4).The column_3 have a default value ('my_default') In my script, I have a feature to INSERT some data into this table. This feature have an automatic attribute definition (to avoid defining every new column each time I modify my script).But my customer havn't any data for the column_3 and the column_4.So, the feature in FME have only column_1 and column_2 defined in it's attribute definition (beacause I chose the automatic definition option).After I run the script, the result I'm expecting is this one :column_1column_2column_3column_4data1.1data1.2

I'm working with FME 2020.2.4I know how to check from within a workspace whether it is run from FME Destkop o from FME Server. I just check in a scripted parameter if FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_[whatever] exists in fme.macroValues. But, is there any way to check whether a workspace is run from a Workspace App or from an automation?In the Jobs tab in FME Server there's a Source Type column with value Automations, Workspace Apps or empty to indicate it. I want to get that same information in the workspace to include it in an email sent from the shutdown python script. 

Hello, Is there a way to 'fanout' when writing to an SQL Database? The image below shows a simplified example of what I want to achieve , I have a number of target SQL Server tables and their table names relate to the values in Col2 (I actually have dozens of target tables to write to). I'm guessing I could achieve this by writing to a format that is 'fanoutable' (e.g. Excel), then re-importing and then writing to SQL Server, but I wondered if any one knew of a more eloquent way of achieving this? Thanks, RB

I have some 3D Data with existing appearances - I just want to make a few of them brighter. I can use the AppearanceExtractor to get the unique appearances, and I can see that with the ApprearanceSetter I can apply one based on a trait I can also see that it's possible to just update an existing appearance. I just can't figure out how to just update it based on the appearance name as this doesn't seem to be a trait For some reason I can't figure out how to do this - has anyone achieved this?

Hello, Im working with this WMS:https://service.pdok.nl/kadaster/netcapaciteit/wms/v1_0? When I access it with a feature reader then it gives me these layers here:And when ran it just gives me a white area cover of where the data is in the world (right place and all, just no symbols). I am accessing the same data in ArcGIS Pro and there I can query "IndicatiefVerzorgingsgebied" based on symbology and see that it has some 8 sublayers: So my questions are:How can I query and expose these sublayers in FME and make them appear as something else than a white area coverage? And bonuspoints if there are any ideas how to expose the feature specific attribute values as well, such as station, netbeheerder, status, totalecap... and so forth

nID='1' nOperTime='2022-07-31 23:51:56' szUserName='default' EventType='Save Config' Remarks='Saved -P2P- config.IP:Local LoginUsername:default Group Name:user' I want to split this into nID, nOperTime, szUserName and EventType I've tried using the KeyValueAttributeCreator transformer to do this with:- Key,Value Delimiter: =Key,Value Separator: <a single space> After this runs I see thousands of columns created with name 1,2,3,4... which appear to be the value of nID rather than the key. I wonder if the issue is the quotes and if so is there a solution that will see quoted fields as a single value?

I am trying to find a way to get the data from IFC file and import it to postGIS data. I tried to do it using a reader of IFC and a writer of postGIS, but then instead of saving 3D data - I get only 2D. When I tried changing the geometry type to geometryZ - I get "Error geometry type parsing" I tried to convert first to GML, and from GML to save to postGIS, but that also didn't work. I would appreciate some help hereThanks,Elyran  

 FME Desktop Build 22304: Moving attribute fields up and down through the “attribute manager” is slow, I couldn’t figure out why moving attribute fields up and down is slow    Is this by design?

On June 24th I downloaded the version for Desktop and Server 2022.0.0.1 Build 22339. I update my system with those products, and validate the functionality of the workspaces as well as the configuration of the server. It looks like everything is ready to be moved to production environment.I give notice to IT that the artifacts can be moved to production and they require FME Server 2022.0.0.1 Build 22339. Now I receive a notice from IT that the mentioned version does not appear in the downloads list of FME. Now I have to make a whole verification with a new version. 

Hello FME enthusiasts, I am slowly getting better within FME – but now and then I simply get stuck. In my example, I load a simple .xlsx File with a borehole identifier (BID) and a complementing link to its online available drilling profile (URL). The goal is to extract the profile for each BID via ImageFetcher and to write it into a single .pdf File via the fanout option. Works great so far, but I just cannot figure out how to provide the BID as additional information (here: headline directly in each .pdf) via the PDFPageFormatter. Whatever I do, only the fetched raster image is written as .pdf File. This is more a general question, as more information could be added to the .pdf File (e. g. date and time of image extraction). Please see my attached FME template file. I am quite sure the solution is simple, but I need some help/hints. Thank you in advance! Kind RegardsAlexander
