When using a Esri Template Geodatabase and selecting "Overwrite Existing Geodatabase" does this process actually Delete Existing Geodatabase and Replace with a New Geodatabase that includes whatever magical newly transformed output was created up to that point in the workspace?Example Scenario: When detecting changes between two Geodatabases a set of "changes" is produced and then we write that out to an existing geodatabase with same schema. To set this up we tell the writer the destination gdb and also identify a Template Geodatabase and select "overwrite existing geodatabase". Hello ! I use a SystemCaller in order to copy files.This files come from 2 differents folders and have to be copied from to different ways (command lines are differents) and - in addition- I want the user to choose if he wants to "copy/Y" or "Ycopy" the files.So I have 2 types of command lines from 2 publics parameters but they have the same values "Copie SANS sous-dossiers" and "Copie AVEC sous dossiers":AndSo when the user run the workbench he has 2 parameters to choose but they are named the same way:It is possible to link these 2 parameters and give the user only one parameter to choose ? Thank you !

I think the current messaging set up for each case could do with some improvements as well that would optimize both the user's and experts' experience and increase overall efficiency. An example would be an easily found "Reply" button at the top of messages sent from FME experts. I honestly think that FME has one of the best user support systems in the bizz and I usually don't submit too many suggestion cases for other software because of the headaches their systems usually cause. However, because of how responsive/active your team is, and how much they've helped me personally with many issues in the past while being a great experience almost every time, anywhere I can help improve an already great system, I'm game. :)

Hi, I have a street network of 3D polygons and the set is not 100% topologically correct. There may be small gaps or overlaps between consecutive road polygons. And normally two consecutive polygons should share the same set of vertices at their junction (materialized by the line separating 2 adjacent polygons).  This would be very easy to solve in 2D using transformers such as the Snapper, AreaOnAreaOverlayer, AreaGapAndOverlapCleaner or TopologyBuilder . But these transformers seem to support 2D only and as a result will not take the z information which is stored in each polygon vertex coordinate. Roads crossing at different z value (bigger than a tolerance of x meters) should not obey to the same rules as those roads which are consecutive.Do you see a possible solution using FME? I was thinking about classifying polygons according to their distinct heights, also cutting polygons with more than 1 z value into 2 parts, and then running the AreaGapAndOverlapCleaner on them with the Gro

I have a server app set up on our implementation of FME Server 2021.2, and users visit the URL to grab the latest export of a database as a CSV. The resulting file is zipped up in a few folder layers which adds a few steps to the process for the end user. Is there a way to have the resulting file be just the CSV to save a few clicks and make life easier for my less tech savvy users?

For exemple, I would like to have "This feature A overlaps 5% of the feature B" and "The feature B overlaps 30% of the feature A" (I have one dataset) For now, I used "AreaOnAreaOverLayer" to have overlaps. Then, I calculated the area of the overlaps and the features to know what part of the feature the overlap represents. However, at the end, I have for a feature the percentage that represents the overlap compared to one feature, but I haven't the other feature. I only have " Field 1: Feature A / Field 2: 80%" . That's allI want another field that tell me the name of the other feature. Thank you for helping

Hi,I am running a workspace on FME Server and I see that most of the columns have unreadable characters in it after running a workspace. I have not seen this before. Is this because of bad data coming in from the source data file or UTF encoding is an issue, i see duplicate features has been created as well. Any advice to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have an ETL doing one thing, running SystemCaller to run a python script. This works fine in Workbench but is not working on Server even though the log shows an EXITCODE of 0. Both desktop and server are windows 64 environments, FME 2019.0.1.If we log in to the server box and call the script from cmd, it works just fine. We tried logging in as the fme user account and it ran just fine as well. Its only when running on FME Server that we are having problems. I have tried referencing the python script from a directory drive and copied to the Server box, doesnt seem to matter. Some clues. The log for the job has an exitcode of 0. When running successfully on Workbench we can see in the log where SystemCaller executes the Python and it logs everything the script does. The log on Server executes the Python and moves on to the next Transformer (no log from the python script running).The Python script being ran must import other Python scripts. I was troubleshooting an FME Automation using CronTAB. 1) I adjusted the Schedule using CronTAB and an error message appearedPS: The message in black background covered the error message 2) Click on the "X" to close the error message and the following appeared3) I tried to rectify the error and started the Automation. Got this Screenshot shown in Step 2 is the bug.FME Server made me believe that the Automation stopped however it was still running in the background.  

I currently use this WHERE on my reader:[Last_Updated] < DATEADD(week,-1,GETDATE()) or [Last_Updated] IS NullI now have a need to use the items that are older than 1 week, then another need to process those items that are less than a week old. I have added a TestFilter, the NULL test is easy, it is the 1 week item that brings me unstuck. Is this possible to do?  Or do I need to add another step in my chain of processes? Thanks heaps.

FME 2022 Build22153: Calculating the value of an attribute fails, In the screenshot below, I wanted to calculate the “BuildingPercent” attribute field by dividing “BuildingArea” field on “BoundaryArea” field but appears not to work. I am using FME Server 2017.0.0.2When I start a job (jobsubmitter service) from the repository, it gets queued.But at the moment no job is running and an engine is available.When I go into the queue and resubmit the job, a new job gets executed running the same workspace without any issues.Has anybody seen this before?And if so, how to solve it?

We recently upgraded from FME Desktop and Server 2021.1 to 2022.1 and are now noticing about a 3' shift while using the Reprojector and CsmapReprojector. The shift is not present while using the ESRIReprojector and PROJReprojector. In this example scenario I've attached workspaces for both version and shapefile outputs of the coordinates. The workspace has not been modified and has been ran in each version to generate shapefiles for reference that contain the coordinate values that differ between the two. We are going from NSRS11.LL to TX83-CF. Is there anything specific that has changed in the newer version that I might be missing when handling certain reprojections? Both workspaces have reprojection engine set to FME.
