I will soon have two sets of (hopefully) identical data to check against each other, sat in FGDB's. There are quite a lot of records (thousands, if not tens of) and I'm looking for differences in any attribute between the two versions of the same record.  I can see this taking a long time, and note there are different options within FME, including Matcher, CRCcalculator, etc. What is likely to be the most efficient method?

I am getting the following error (out of the blue, I might add. One run, everything humming along fine until "bam", next run, license/Python compatibility error):ERROR : FME initialized 'ArcGISDesktop', but the workspace Python compatibility setting is 'Esri ArcGIS Python 3.7+'. Please check the Python compatibility setting in the workspaceI have both ArcGIS Desktop (10.8.1) and ArcGIS Pro (2.9.1) installed, and I am using 64-bit FME Desktop Professional 2022.2. My dropdown list for the Python Compatibility parameter, however, does not include separate listings for ArcGIS Desktop vs. ArcGIS Pro, only for "Esri ArcGIS Python maj.min" . (1) Does "Esri ArcGIS" mean ArcGIS Desktop?; and (2) if so, what do I need to do to get ArcGIS Pro choices listed in the dropdown and to get FME to recognize and use my ArcGIS Pro license instead of my Desktop license?

How can I assign a unique identifier to all areas that intesect each other?

In this workspace, the results of AreaOnAreaOverlayer (using the default tolerance) and SpatialRelator (using a custom DE-9IM matrix) are different. I suspect it's a precision issue with the AreaOnAreaOverlayer transformer but it's curious that the transformer that doesn't allow changing the tolerance (SpatialRelator) is the one that works fine.  

Wondering what parameter to change so that when I use PointOnLineOverlayer it does not split the lines? is this possible?

It's been a while since I last used FME and now it's time to start working with automations  seriously. I need some help to get a quite simple one working though. I'm attempting to do the following: whenever an email from a certain email address and with a certain concept in the subject is received, the email subject and body must be checked and parsed to write a temporary json file that will be uploaded to a server via sftp overwriting the existing file. I already have: An email trigger with a Subject filter. A 'Sent from Address' filter action. A workspace action: AttributeManager and JSONTemplater transformers and a JSON writer get the important information from the subject and content of the email into a json file that is written to FME Server temp directory. An SFTP Directory external action: reads the json file from FME Server temp directory and writes it to a server. The problem is that we are waiting for imap access to be enabled on the email account so I cannot test the email 

I have a 2d polygon and I wanna fill it with as many parallel lines as possible given the distance between the lines and the angle. I have some problems to create the lines I need.  In the image ignore the points.Input:+ the angle (i.e. 80°) Result (ignore points)

This workspace would have some tester, filter, geometry transformers. I have planned on using the FME Rest API to launch my jobs. I will launch them by batch of 10 000 jobs (so 100 batchs in total) Is it a good way to do it ?I would be happy to read your advices !

Hello, I created a dynamic workflow to load geopackages into as many tables of a PostGIS database From a SchemaScanner, I retrieve the source schemas then I build the names of the destination tables and I make some modifications to the data types. For example, boolean attributes are not recognized by FME because the values ​​are not conforming. So I would like to replace all non conforming values ​​of these attributes. In the schema part of the processing, I retrieved all the boolean attributes (in a list or a concatenated string). I would now like to use this as a parameter to define in the features part of the processing the attributes whose boolean values ​​must be corrected (StringReplacer for example). I could manually select these attributes but I would lose the interest of the dynamic workflow. I don't know how to do it automatically. Does anyone know how to do this?

I was told the data  "44821.76657" is the elapsed days and time since "1 Jan 1900"

I'm attempting to use relative dates, however I want to exclude data that was modified "Last Friday" where today is "Monday", however I can't see any documentation at what acceptable relative dates there are and what they actually mean (i.e. if today is Monday, does "Last Monday" return as today or the week before? Or does "next Monday" return as today?)?

Hi,i read a postgis table with the feature reader. As a WHERE clause i want to filter on a certain criteria, say: name_community IN ('Comm1','Comm2','Comm3') I would like to allow multiple selection. Therfore I have choosen the type of parameter "choice" and a list with multiple selection. The name of the parameter is "_community". Now , I thought: name_community IN (%(_community)) However, this does not work. Any support would be appreciated.

I've got several workspaces open at one time, and have a hard time switching between them using the Windows Taskbar because their names are "MULTI - MULTI", "SHAPEFILE - MULTI" etc.  I know Alt-Tab will cycle through, but I usually want to click on the taskbar to bring it to the foreground. Is there a way to display the file name instead on the Taskbar? Not the directory as these get pretty long. So it shows "land-use.fmw", "birds-of-prey.fmw", "routing.fmw" or whatever. Here's what I've got open right now:

Hi forum Looking for a bit of help with the using the HTTPCaller to query a polygon area on an Image Service. PointsI’ve got the DTM image service from the Environment agency, which I’ve been using to extract the DTM height value for certain points. I’ve been using the “identify” function through the HTTPCaller in FME, and then some JSON extraction to get out the height value. All great and working. PolygonsI’ve now got some polygons, and I want to find the lowest height within the polygon footprint (added bonus, maybe also the lowest point on the perimeter too. I need to remove duplicates from varying sized datasets. Would it be more efficient to use a sorter with a sampler or a statistical calculator with a tester?

I have stumbled across a raster size problem in RasterExpressionEvaluator whereas two input rasters are clipped using Clipper to the exact same shape, however some of them upon arriving for raster calculation differ by one pixel.The problem is that although all input rasters are of different sizes only some in several hundred will result in this error quite randomly despite use of clipping that should cut them precisely to same size.|ERROR |RasterExpressionEvaluator_2(RasterEvaluationFactory): Raster A has '2119' rows and '2042' columns, whereas raster B has '2120' rows and '2042' columns. Paired rasters must have the same dimensions

I have an AGOL reader that I read many attributes from. This works great but, I also need to read the latitude and longitude for each record. Currently we hardcoded the ‘URL’ & ‘Target File’ attributes in our FTPCaller parameters:Is there a way to specific them in a more dynamic way? For example, ‘Operating Account Structure - Export Budget 2022-09-22_13_27_55_PDT.csv’, the '‘Operating Account Structure - Export Budget ' part is static and '2022-09-22_13_27_55_PDT' part is dynamic date/time. How can we specific the dynamic part with wildcard something like ‘Operating Account Structure - Export Budget%.csv'? Thanks. 

I have a street centerline Feature Class in a File GDB. I did a topology check in ArcGIS Desktop and it identified two streets that are overlapping one on top of the other (each street is identical in length). In FME, I set up a workbench with the SpatialFilter Transformer and two Inspectors to do a topology check. In the SpatialFilter I have tried using all the Spatial Predicates to test one at a time. FME does not call out these two overlapping street segments as does ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.  Maybe if I set a Parameter Condition Definition based on Shape_Length attribute field it might work?  Fyi, I am using this data as a test to help me improve my FME skills. Any ideas on how to get FME to call out these two streets?  Here is a screen capture of the two streets highlighted in red as seen in ArcGIS Desktop.   

I am using the attribute manager to remove fields from my schema that I am writing into an Esri file geodatabase. I am finding that the fields are still present in the new feature class that is being generated but now have null values.  Is there a way to do this?
