I have XML file that contains GEOMETRYCOLLECTION for each object and it might contain lines, points, areas. I have this GEOMETRYCOLLECTION already in attribute but how to create multiple features out of those text geometries?

Hello everyone,I'm looking for an easy way to extract domain value from a gdb for validation.I know that you can use ArcGIS Pro to export a XML schema from a GDB, but I want to skip that step. I tried to use Schema Reader, but it doesn't give me the full domain values in the attributs.Anyone have an idea ? Thanks

The obvious transformers (Rasterselector, RasterBandRemover, RasterBandKeeper) do not give the desired output. No errors are generated but all bands of the CSAR raster file are still present after processing. The bands seem to be hidden but I can not find a way to make them available for processing.

I have 2 different (postgis) writers (A and B), one of which is sometimes temporary not accessible. FME checks at the start if all writers (A and B) are accessible, and if not, fails to execute the workbench.So I wonder if it is possible (e.g. by the use of a parameter specifying which (only) writer to use) to bypass the "accessibility-check" of e.g. writer A so that only writer B is being used and the workbench is still being executed? I use this in a batch-script where I "ping" to A and B, and therefore know at the start whether A and/or B are accessible.

Hi I am trying to merge about 15 sets containing information about green infrastructure in to one singular dissolved, multipart polygon. In ArcGIS I would use the Merge geoprocessing tool to all the the layers into one, select all the features and merge them. Finally I would do a dissolve. In FME I have fed all the input layers into a Dissolve transformer (dropping attibutes), fed the area output port to an aggregator. I am unsure what to do with remnants - I have fed Unused Areas from the remnants port to the Aggregator but not interior lines (I presume these are the dividing lines that have been removed in the dissolve?) - is this correct? Many thanks

Hi, After upgrading FMECloud to version 2022 our emailer complains with the following error:Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'fmepy_emailer'PythonFactory failed to load python symbol `fmepy_emailer.Emailer'Factory proxy not initializedEmailer_CALLER (PythonFactory): PythonFactory failed to process featureAn error has occurred. Check the logfile above for detailsIt looks like the emailer depends on a internal package called fmepy_emailer that does not exist in the environment. 

I've been trying to work out how the light source definition is actually used within the SurfaceFootprointReplacer (with shadow mode set to perpendicular) transformer without luck. My end goal would be to extract an estimated surface of a 3D shape for a hydraulic radius calculation. If I know the shape's rotation from the horizontal axis, how does this get defined by the vector parameters?Defining a point along the face didn't appear to be the right answer, nor was offsetting a point... A simplified workflow showing a cube rotated 45° is attached to illustrate the issue.

I just upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and upgraded Data Interoperability (FME(R) 2022.0.0.2 (20220518 - Build 22343 - WIN64) . I have several tools built in the previous version that are now failing. The only error message I get is literally: "Error running translation". That's it. Not very helpful. Has anyone else experienced this with the Pro upgrade to 3.0?

I have tried using the excel reader to get my file in, then httpcaller with the URL as my column of google drive shared hyperlinks. Renaming the output to a column which identifies the name that I want. I'm obviously not getting the settings right in the httpcaller or missing something entirely. New to using this and really no idea what I should be doing. For now I have only focussed on trying to download the Report but ultimately there is also a video avi to be downloaded. My input excel file looks like the following: Newname for the report and then the report google drive hyperlink.

I am attempting to offset all lines that intersect each other by increments of 5. Some lines have duplicate/stacked lines on top of them, as well as standard intersections with other lines. My intent is to assign all lines that intersect a differing offset (which is where the increment of 5 comes into play). I have tried creating a list on the Spatial Relator, but I am not getting my desired results. I don't have any trouble with creating the offsets through the Offsetter or 3D Forcer transformers, but I am stumped on trying to assign all intersecting lines a different offset (so they won't intersect in Z space).  I would appreciate any help or ideas that can be passed along, thank you!

How to highlight in the workbench canvas in FME desktop the route of a chosen entity? Through which transformers this entity has passed.

Hallo FME community,I have a network consisting of interconnected lines. on the other side I have some points lying on the line. I need to cut out my network based on these points and the line between two points must be aggregated with each other. Also, PointOnAreaOverlayer couldn't help me.I would be grateful if someone can help me how to do this process.  

What limits are there on backwards/forwards compatibility when using FME Objects .NET? I ask because I have a custom .NET application that was built using FMEObjectsDotNet4.dll (build 18567) that fails when used with FME Desktop 2022 (build 22337). This is the exception message: System.IO.FileLoadException: A procedure imported by 'FMEObjectsDotNet4.dll' could not be loaded. There were no issues on install (FME Data Inspector 2022 works as expected), and the Path environment variable appears to be set correctly. The custom .NET application worked properly with FME Desktop 2019.1.1 (build 19617).

I'm making an ETL to convert some features from an geodatabase SDE to Autocad DWG-files. It is working well, but i'm getting an error.AutoCAD Writer: Shape file 'ltypeshp.shx' or 'ltypeshp.shx' not found when trying to resolve shape ''It has no consequences for the output, but it is bottering me. Any idea what the problem could be. Am i missing some parameter?

I have an Oracle database with about 500,000 entries. I want to read in 1 feature for each unique value of 'DEVICE_TYPE'. Is there a select or where clause I can use to do this?

If i have an esri fgdb that has no features in it. To be used for a template.I want to validate data coming from the field against these coded domains values in the template. But i can't see how to get the domain values. I have the "resolve domain" checked on. I can see that probably having the single merged feature as features will not work as you get literally NOTHING.i have also tried individual feature types as both features, and metadata.As features I get no features (of course), as metadata I get 1 feature for each featuretype (and have enabled ALL format attributes for each featuretype). But, there is no "ATTRIB_resolved" attribute. So using the FME Hub "Read_ESRI_GDB_Domain_Data" custom transformer doesn't even work. It seems the only interface that will allow this is through the esri "KLUNK KLUNK" domains/subtypes "clickamilliontimes" interface with no output.anybody else experience this?

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the amount of free disk space using the FME Server API? I presume I could use a SystemCaller transformer and write out the information somewhere and access it that way, but wondering if there is an easier way. Just looking to get the same disk space details that are logged when a job runs (see screenshot). Thanks

Hey guys, I have XML Meta data files which I read and aggregate to one table to write them in a ArcSDE. The SDE is an Enterprise Geodatabase and the platform is SQL Server. To Connect to that SDE I need username and password. I use the FME Workbench directly in ArcGIS Pro and my connection to the database is existing. When I use the Writer "ArcSDE Geodb" FME is asking me for "Connection file". How do I get such an file? Or is there another way to publish the output directly in the SDE? Thank you in advance!Take careCheers,Fabian

Hello! I have a problem while trying to read the data from postgresql (I'm not an expert). Everything seems fine with database connection (test is successful - also I'm able to connect with the same parameters from psql).The reader is created, I can see the attributes of chosen postgresql table.Everything goes well until I hit the RUN button.Then I get two types of errors: Error executing SQL command ('SELECT c.relhasoids AS oids FROM pg_class...Error executing SQL command ('declare "public_xxxxx_crsr" cursor... Does anybody have some experience with this and can share some guidance. Thanks in advance!  

I have 2 kind of points that are connected graphically every 2 points with a line. I would like to know how FME can be used to link the attributes of points with associated ones. I am attaching an example for better understanding. 

Hello.I have a layer of lines and a table of observations on these lines.The line observation table contains the ID of the line on which the observation is made as well as its distance from the line origin. I would like to build a layer of points along the lines containing the information of the observations respecting the distance of the observations to the origin. Do you have any ideas? My research has only allowed me to create points in a regular way without being able to assign the attributes of the observations. I am a beginner in FME, thanks in advance for your answers.
