How to store the feature via Writer to Oracle Spatial?

Hello,This is my first use of the Writer with Oracle, I only used SQLExecutor before. The problem is, all features are stored correctly, but I cannot get the Writer to store the geometry - it just remains empty. First I put the name of the table and have specified the spatial column like this:Secondly I basically enumerate all columns:It works, but no geometries are being stored in the "AREA" column. All features come with geometry, I see them cached in the Inspector. Thanks for any suggestions!

whats does "Features are being recorded on all output ports" mean?

Hello, i have a point cloud data file in e57 format and i plan to reduce it by transform PointCloudSimplifier. There is my workspace.And it appears that warning "The workspace may run slower because features are being recorded on all output ports". The data is very large, more than 100GB, so i wish it cloud be processed faster.I'm not exactly sure what "recorded on all output ports" means, what should i do? Do i need to add a transform like AttributeManager between the Reader and PointCloudSimplifier or something else?Thank you in advance!

AttributeFilter does not import values from source

This has happened so many times that I have lost count: I try to import values from the source in AttributeFilter. After the process is complete, it gives me nothing!The latest time is trying to get them from an IFC file. I select fme_feature_type in the dropdown, hit the import button, the feature types show upI select all of themI select fme_feature_type and check the use format attributesIt thinks a second, and....NOTHINGThis has happened with dwgs as well. fme_feature_type is exposed in the reader. I tried selecting other value types in the wizard to no avail.What is going on? I have attached screenshots to illustrate.Thanks

Counter Transformer: Invalid Parameter Count Start

Hello,I would like to +1 a value into a field using the Counter Transformer and although the expression I have used works in the evaluator I keep getting a rejected output with INVALID_PARAMETER_COUNT_START.The output from the SQL Creator Transformer seems to output the correct number.Can you tell me what I'm missing? What is causing the AttributeExposer to remove the values when it exposes fme_basename and fme_dataset format attributes?

I am using FME 2020 (Build 20218) and I find that if I expose the fme_basename and fme_dataset in the Reader Feature Type they are read normally and have no issue, however I am curious why if I use an AttributeExposer to expose those attributes in the workspace, the values for these attributes are exposed with null values. What is causing the AttributeExposer to remove the values when it exposes these format attributes?

Exposed attributes empty from JSONFragmenter using flattening

I'm using the JSONFragmenter to choose a segment of a JSON file and am trying to expose the values from this segment as attributes. However, the JSONFragmenter just returns the values as separate objects, and the attributes are empty. I've tried without the "[*]" at the end of the JSON query, yielding just one object but still empty attributes. I've also tried using the JSONflattener on this segment and on the full JSON string, but it does not seem to do anything. It just returns the same attributes as on the input straight through. FaceReplacer does not work with non planar surfaces which I fixed with GeometryValidator

I have a shapefile with roof shapes. Now I will convert them into faces. This works well for almost all. But some areas are not planar. So theses non planar areas I fixed in a step before with GeometryValidator and then I will use FaceReplacer. But now the same issue was found "Non-Planar Surfaces". I thought with Geometry Validator these areas are fixed? Can someone help me?

Will the FFS reader transformer successfully read an FFS file that was created a decade ago?

I understand that FFS is an internal file format to FME, and presumably it gets updated with each new version of FME. Will the FFS Reader handle an FFS file that was created by an older (a decade old) version of FME?

Emailer isn't supported in FME Server?

Hi all,I have a workspace that has an Emailer transformer where the Email's body is the customed HTML_content. This works fine with FME desktop 2020.2 (build 20787-win64) but failed with FME Server 2020.1.1. (build 20608-win64).The error message was: Python Exception <ModuleNotFoundError>: No module named 'fmepy_emailer'I wonder if this is because of:incompatibility between 2 versions (2020.2 vs 2020.1.1)?or is it because the FME server doesn't support the Emailer transformer?At the moment, upgrading FME Server isn't an option for me.I have tried the Email function in the Automations of FME Server but it doesn't have an option for me to include HTML content in the Email's body but rather an HTML attachment - this means every time I will have to click the attachment and it will be opened in a browser.Any suggestion? How to: Transposing/concatenating problem.

Can't wrap my head around the following reformatting problem. My data looks like this:Pointid substance1 substance2 substance3...1 value 2 3I have a lot of columns in the original data, almost 200 different substances. I would like to achieve the following structure (below) where Substances attribute contains all values of 200 substance columns and is exploded for each Pointid. So basically every Pointid is replicated for each substance and values column have the value of each substance. I've tried multiple combinations of transformers but without result. Hey community, i am trying to do some exceldata conversion in FME that my coworkers used to do manually. Now i am at a point that they used a excel macro to add periods to initials ( AB => A.B.). ofc the length of initials differs.

in the original some initial alread had periods, but i already removed them with a stringreplacer. Any leads on how to tackle this are welcome. Luuk

SpatialFilter and SpatialRelator Spatial Predicates Failing?

The spatial predicates for the SpatialFilter and SpatialRelator transformers do not seem to be working as expected. For example, after using the LineOnAreaOverlayer transformer to split candidate lines where they intersect any filter area boundary, a SpatialFilter ("Filter OGC-Contains Candidate") fails to pick up a candidate line which falls wholly within an area filter. Likewise, after creating candidate midpoints of filter lines using the Snipper transformer, a SpatialFilter ("Filter OGC-Intersects Candidate") fails to pick up on the midpoints which intersect their originating filter lines. After reading the documentation of these transformers, I'm struggling to understand why this is occurring. Is this issue related to projection / coordinate systems? Using the 'Select by Location' tool in ArcGIS Pro does yield the expected results (i.e. all the midpoints are selected when an intersect query with the lines is applied, and all split lines are selected

Use list in HTTP CALLER.

Hello everybody, I have a Python script that allows me to interact with an API of an application called KIZEO. Lately I wanted to automate data recovery by FME. So I had to use the HTTP CALLER transformer which allows me via a URL to retrieve the first level data, i.e.: Entity identifier. Dated. ETC. I stored all the identifiers retrieved by the script in a list (LISTE_ID). Then in order to access the detail of each entity (Level 2) I should call back the HTTP CALLER by entering the URL box: https://www.kizeoforms.com/rest/v3/forms/{formId}/ data/{LISTE_ID}. But unfortunately, the HTTP CALLER does not accept me to enter the URL containing a list, it asks me to give it just a single element. I'm trying to use the built-in SMTP of an FME Server running on EC2 but I can't seem to get it to work. I've opened port 25 in the EC2 security group and there's, as far as I can tell, nothing else using that port. Any ideas?

How to preserve original geometry after Bufferer

Hi,I have some polylines that I buffered with Bufferer in order to make some checks.Once the checks are performed, I'd like to get the original polylines back. I was wondering if I can copy the lines geometry into another geometry attribute and read them after, or maybe some other technique. Thanks in advance!

If a execute this workspace: Using an existing (and empty) database with this trigger on parcel table: I get this error: There seems to be a conflict between the "prepared statement" used by FME and the trigger. Are they incompatible? Note: This project is a simplified version of another in which the database schema and the logic implemented by the trigger are considerably more complex.

How do I split attributes from same field to different fields. while some of them stay in same filed

Hello.I am looking to split some of the attributes of a filed into 2 separate fields while rest stay in the main field contents. even the split one part goes to separate field and rest stays in.example I have following data:Banana 24Banana 25Banana 26Banana 27Apple 01Apple 02Apple 03Apple 04Pear PearI want it like Banana stays in original field and 26 goes to separate field.but nothing happens to pear.I tried using tester to filter them out then attribute manager with string function to replace but length is not same for all attributes how do I handle different length?Thank youNikki

StringReplacer behaves differently on different columns

Hello,The following settings of the StringReplacer works for some feature attributes, and doesn't work for others.This is aimed to replace dots for commas (or vice-versa) in a decimal number.So, it normally works for example like 100.5 -> 100,5 But, I just used the very same transformer in a different feature, and the result is zero, for example: 100.5 -> 0 Both columns are 64-bit real. I can see in the the "cached features" in Data Inspector that a valid decimal number goes in, and out goes the zero. Any ideas?Thanks in advance

Hide Custom Transformer Internal Logging

I'm playing around with security settings and it seems that if you password protect a custom transformer, it still spews out info in the logs from the internal guts of what's going on. Is there a way to prevent the internal guts of a custom transformer from being logged? Ie. I just want to show the input and output of the transformer. Is that possible? Seemed maybe like it was from this article https://community.safe.com/s/article/password-protection-for-fme-workspaces
