Dear, I have a workspace that reads a in a postgis database with an SQLExecutor. It all runs smooth.  However I want to make my workspace generic, so that it can use other input data from different databases/schemas in the future. That is why I put everything to read in user parameters. That being said I encountered the following problem. My workspace runs fine with the original data. However when I change the name of the schema of my input data, and I change it in the SQL executor accordingly, I get the following error: 'Error executing SQL command ('select version(), postgis_version()'): 'ERROR: function postgis_version() does not exist'  When I try to read in the schema with the changed name with a PostgreSQL reader, it works just fine. However this is not desired, since my data contains geometry. Does somebody has any clue what can be the cause for this? Attached you can find the logfile and some screenshots. I am using NeighborFinder to find adjacent horizontal (or vertical) lines. I create a list and the transformer automatically supplies the angle value for each item. I want to remove any list item which does not have an angle value of 90 or 270.The ListElementFilter has been very helpful, but it seems to only filter one value at a time. I also tried AttributeManager to conditionally change the list{}_angle value to 90 when it finds 270, but no luck there.Would this be a Python situation?Any help is appreciated.

I'm working with the SchemaScanner transformer and trying to compare two similar schemas for differences.  However, one of my datasets is a shell and has no features in it (the top feature reader and stream in the workspace screenshot) This seems to be causing SchemaScanner to output different results than my dataset that has features.  I'm basing my workspace off this article here - https://community.safe.com/s/article/How-to-SchemaScanner-Transformer How can I compare the schemas in this case?  Here's the list exploder output from the feature class that has featuresWhile here's the list exploder output from the featureclass with no features

I want to take the results of a SQL expression (SQL Executor) that returns a format like:POLYGON((2861292.56247401 15394288.32744411,2861296.63792518 15394295.48523819,2861287.86169601 15394300.48260353,2861283.78591676 15394293.32480944,2861292.56247401 15394288.32744411))and generate an fme polygon object without first writing the geometry json to a file.  I have looked at FeatureReader and ESRI JSON reader. Looks like the variable passed is expected to be a file.  The issue I have is the new ArcSDE Geodb reader reads Esri Annotation geometry as a point. The annotation geometry type is stored as polygon. I need to get the polygon like I had before with the Esri Legacy Reader.

is there a way to replicate sde. default database and store it in the folder? also for recurring backups or replication of the database would not be overwritten and saved into a different folder with a different name. Please let me know if I can accomplish this in FME. Thank you,Sarah

Hey, I am trying to modify https://community.safe.com/s/article/data-distribution-fme-server-app the data distribution demo script. I am attempting to download 5 different shape files (points, polygons and lines) all with varying attributes. I have the script working and downloading with the exception of the attributes specific to each feature class. Every attribute is blown away. If I change the user attributes to automatic for the output feature class it sort of works except its merging all the attributes together and showing them in every feature class. Ideally I just want to download the 5 shapes and retain their unique attributes. Seems I can either output the shapes with no attributes or output the shapes with attributes from other feature classes merged into it. Right now im running them through their own clipper into a copy paste of the feature output which would mean doing that for every single layer i want to download. Just want to make sure theres no better way of doing this

"Feature Tables" - the buzz word heard around the 2017 FME UC, is now referred to by a more intuitive term "Bulk Mode"... The CSV format has been updated for amazing performance increases, but for what transformers and formats can I expect to see benefits from Bulk Mode? 

The usage notes in ProjectWiseWSGConnector states:The FeatureReader can access ProjectWise directly (without using the ProjectWiseWSGConnector), however, a local copy of the dataset will not be created. But how is this done?  Thanks in advance.

Hi,This isn't so much a question as pointing out a minor issue.The WorkspaceRunner transformer (FME 2022.1.2) doesn't allow the user to select an attribute value for the value of a parameter in the workspace to be called if that parameter is in a group:

I am trying to email a file geodatabase. I quickly learned that FME Server doesnt like folders and will only zip and email files. So I went back to the desktop client and set the gdb to be zipped for output. Tested it on local storage and I get a valid zip archive that contains the gdb folder. I then publish that workspace to FME Server and run it with a geodatabase folder parameter of $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)\\BuildingFootprintQC\\BFP_overlaps.zip\\BFP_overlaps.gdbOR$(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)\\BuildingFootprintQC\\Neither works. The workspace runs without error but generates no output. I logged into the host server and checked the resources folders to make sure the zip is not there and indeed its not being created.  How can I get FME Server to follow the desktop function of zipping the output so I can tell the email action in the automation to send the gdb as an attachment? Edit:I checked the log and the entry MULTIREADER: output will be zipped only appears when running on the deskt

Hi, I've recently completed a FME Serverdeployment on Azure Kubernetes and I'm positively thrilled about thecapabilities of FME Server on this environment.The automatic scaling of the Azure node pools for dynamic engines makes it very easy for large requests to be handled easily by FME Server. I am trying to configure FME Server for HTTPS using a client provided pfx certificate. I have used this documentation, successfully completing steps 1-6. However I'm getting this error:I suspect there is an issue with the certificate, but I'm unsure where to begin looking, or how to fix.  When looking at the certificate details, the Owner CN is '*.<client_website>.com, which differs from the local host FME Server is installed with. Is this the same as the hostname?

I am doing the FME Server Authoring 2021.1 trainig and I see video day 3 is completely irrelevant to the FME server training modules. Now I started day 4 it seems few modules skipped as day 3 was not the correct video.Is there any other source to the trainig video that match with course modules?

I have 3 counters in my workspace. And I want them to produce a single count. The documentation says : "When multiple Counters have the same name and Count Scope is Global, they produce a single count."  In my workspace the Scope of the Counter is set to Global but, I cannot figure it out how to write the same name for the three counters! When trying to write the same name for the counter transformers, FME (2021.1) automatically changes the names to Counter_2, Counter_3, Counter_X .... so I'm not getting a unique count for my workspace, what I have is three different counts starting from 0.  This is a basic question, Is the name of the transformer what I have to change to get a unique count? I'm sure I'm missing something and maybe someone can help me with this.  Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have a question with regard to preserving the pattern style of hatches in DWG files.  I have a simple DWG file with two lines (blue), one text (yellow), a dimension (magenta), and a polygon (blue) which is filled with a hatch (cyan):  If I now simply read the DWG file with a REALDWG reader and do nothing but write it again with the REALDWG writer, the hatching pattern looks very different in the result - which is basically because the lines of the hatching pattern are much closer together than they were in the original DWG file:More details below. Does anyone know how I need to parameterize reader and/or writer such that the pattern style of the hatch is preserved 1:1? In the REALDWG reader, I already linked the read-in DWG file as a "Template File". This helped to preserve the styling of the dimension but unfortunately not with regard to the pattern style of the hatch.  Here some more details:Regarding the parameterization of the REALDWG reader, I only unch

I have a tester that checks if the user entered something into a user parameter. If they don't enter something then I want to create a new record. Currently it tests for the null and then it essentially stops as no data comes through. I want to create the data thorough a series of calculations. How do I do that?

FME 2022.1 64-bit Personal Geodb Reader - Reading feature type as case-sensitive. Where as 32-bit Personal Geodb Reader in earlier versions used to read feature type name as case-insensitive. Is there a way to make FME 2022.1 64-bit Personal Geodb Reader to read feature type as case-insensitive?
