In a file geodatabase (GDB) to GDB translation, I am writing dynamically to a blank (unpopulated) template GBD that has relationship classes. From a source GDB I am reading features both from feature classes that participate in relationships and from the relationship feature classes themselves. I get the usual geodb_feature_has_relationships and geodb_oid format attributes on the participant features, and I get the usual geodb_type (= geodb_relationship in this case), geodb_rel_origin_oid, and geodb_rel_destination_oid format attributes on the relationship features; however, to keep the workspace generically dynamic and reusable, I need to determine--during translation--the names of the origin and destination feature classes for the relationship classes being read. Of course, I know what those feature classes are before runtime, but the dynamic, i.e., non-prescient, workspace does not. I have this equation in Excel:=A2-($A$2-$G$2)*B4/SUM($B$4:$F$4)this A2 and B4 has to change every row. so that the value I just got from the current row calculation needs to be used in the next step.9.83,8.82,7.56,6.41,5.41,5minus0,1.01,1.26,1.14,0.99,0.4it starts with 9.83-0, then 9.83-1.01, then the result which is 8.81-1.26 and so on.how can I write this equation? or how can I get the result of previous row calculation in the current row?

Hi community, A client I am working for recently upgraded their FME Desktop/Server installation from version 2018.1 (20180717 - Build 18520) to 2021.1 (20210730 - Build 21619). I upgraded the workspaces and I am currently in the process of testing. I noticed that a workspace ("gdb2gml.fmw", attached to this thread) behaves differently in FME Desktop 2021.1. The purpose of this workspace is to read a File Geodatabase, map the attributes to a specific format and write to a GML. The output file (GML) is validated against an XSD file (XSD-file and input GDB also attached to this thread).  The validation in the GML writer should fail. The File Geodatabase contains an illegal feature (a multipart polygon) which is not allowed as a geometry for this feature class. In the GML writer, the setting 'validate output file' is set to Yes. In FME Desktop 2018, this multipart feature is detected by the validation and the workspace fails. This is the expected behaviour. In FME Deskt

I have troubles in using the LineCombiner, with 2 different datasources as input. The first is fme_line from Postgis (MultiLineString, but deaggregated) and the second is fme_line from Shapefile. Both have the same projection system, are in 2D, and have the same attribute schema: only "troncon_id" as string which should be used as merging attribute. I would like to join common line between the two datasources and produce a unique dataset. Hower, the resulting data a correctly merged when coming from the same datasource, but not merged for lines with the same troncon_id and common point (Qgis snapping option). They do not overlap or intersect.Here are the parameters used:An example of not combined lines :

How do I convert .osm data into shapefile using FME?

Converted ArcGIS Pro Annotation (geodb_pro_annotation) to Standard Annotation (geodb_annotation) with the help of Dynamic File Geodatabase reader and Dynamic File Geodatabase writer. Enclosed the developed FME workspace template for your reference. However, when opened the generated output Standard Annotation (geodb_annotation) feature class in ArcMap (version 10.8.1), getting an error saying "One or more layers failed to draw". Please refer to enclosed screenshot from ArcMap and help to advice how to handle this situation.  Found no issues with the output when used Static File Geodatabase reader. We've been using automations to run jobs, and then report the status back to Teams using an HTTP Request to call a Teams webhook. This was working fine in 2021.1, but since upgrading to 2022.2 the teams message now shows the job variable names, and not the values. The issue seems to occur somewhere within the Adaptive Card format - as I can use a very simple JSON object in the HTTP body of the HTTP Caller (eg. { "text": "{job.id}" } )- but it seems as soon as the variable call is enclosed in square brackets - it won't populate the value. Am I making some silly reference mistake?(Attached HTTP Caller body.)

Bulk copy failed on table 'tv.vagnat_framtida' using delimiter ':'. Error was 'ERROR:  invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xc3 0x3aCONTEXT:  COPY vagnat_framtida, line 33This error kept me busy for some hours exploring character encoding in shapefiles, FME and PostGIS. Which did not help. Not until I did some data digging and found the error.The data in a shapefile apparently comes from a qualified geodata store, and some long text fields have been truncated in the conversion to shape, leaving what appears to be incomplete character codes. And this causes PostGIS problems. The error message comes from deep within PostGIS. I have tried to cut a few bytes from the string with SubstringExtractor, but then the whole string became HEX. Very strange. Since it is invalid data, there seems to be no way of catching these characters with any of the FME string tools. And the error appears only in the Postgis writer, not before so it cannot be logged.Basically, I am looking for suggestions

I am trying to set up a database connection to my Snowflake 30-day free trial account. The connection parameters are shown below. When I test the connection, it takes a long time (about 5 minutes), and then get a Read timeout error as shown below. I have no problem login to Snowflake web console using https://IN17188.us-east-2.aws.snowflakecomputing.com. I use the account "IN17188.us-east-2.aws" in the FME database connection Account Name parameter. I use FME Desktop 2021.1.1. Anybody experienced this issue? Hello FME Community,I have a shapefile that contains an ID column. the ID must be unique, but I have data records that have come twice.Only ID is the same and other columns are different.with DuplicateFilter I filter Duplicate. so I get features that came twice. As the title implies, I have a workspace where two different workflows have to write to the same CSV but different sheets. How do I go about doing that? I've attempted to use fme_feature_type as CSV File Name but that resulted into 2 separate CSV files as depicted by the image attached  

Hi! I'm desperately trying to find a way to identify the impact of disabling a specific network on the surrounding networks. So far by using the NetworkTopologyCalculator, I've been able to isolate all my water networks, separated by water valves. But here is an example of what I'm trying to do:If I have to replace the water pipe on the network A, I will close the water valves to isolate it. The impact would logically be that there would be no water reaching networks B-C-D-E. Is there any way for me to dynamically identify this in FME?Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello all I have a question regarding readers when used with possible empty directories and resulting error messages. In a FME workbench, a CSV reader reads all CSV files within a directory and then processes them. If one or more CSV files are present in the defined folder, the Workbench works perfectly. However, if there are no CSV files in the folder at the time of execution, an ERROR is issued:ERROR |CSV reader: Failed to open file '\\\\Auto-Import\\**\\*.csv' for reading. Please ensure that the file exists and you have sufficient privileges to read it. With the FME Desktop version 2019.2 that we are currently still using, I was able to set the Workbench to continue running even if an error occurred. However, this is certainly not the most ideal solution. Especially it is difficult to detect actual error messages in the log files.The Workbench is automatically executed every hour by the task scheduler. Another problem is that the CSV Reader is part of a Workbench that is sup

I used the 2021 fme workbench emailer. The version from 2021 was functional. It is currently not functioning in the 2022 version. It displays an error message that reads, "No module called Chardet." The 2022 version had to be deleted, and I had to return to the 2021 desktop.

Hi, It's not entirely clear whether this has been solved or not already. I'm using FME 2022.1. I have a portal feature service with has jpegs as attachments. I want to read the exif metadata from the blobs. jpeg_exif_gpslatitude jpeg_exif_gpslongitude jpeg_exif_gpsimgdirection If I use the RasterReplacer method I lose all exif metadata.
