Include the possibilty to make use of the UPSERT function in PostgreSQL 9.5 as a feature operation in the PostgreSQL writer in FME. This will make it possible to do an insert or an update if there is a conflict with an existing row in the table. For more information take a look at the PostgreSQL documentation
ElasticSearch allows for aliases to be defined on indexes (which are similar to views on a traditional database table). The FME ElasticSearch reader does not currently support reading an alias. It does not show alias names in the list of available features to read from the reader, and explicitly specifying an alias name results in a reader error.Please update the ElasticSearch reader to provide support for aliases.
Currently I can format JSON to an attribute and I can create a file in Azure from that attribute data. I cannot however see how I can take that attribute and create a new attribute which is the zipped contents of the Json Attribute so that I could then write that directly to Azure.Maybe I've missed something here, as it seems an obvious extension of the current file handling processes.
When we use the current view in 3D in FME Data Inspector i think is important to implement the symbol the rotation for 3D Model like we have in PDF 3D. I had a use case where I had to build a gallery app that contains server apps and custom-built apps (via URL). These custom-built apps are created using a workspace (triggered by webhook) which produces custom built HTML page. Further, that HTML contains pre-created buttons/links that trigger another webhook, and so on. In other words, all these workspace apps and custom-built apps should work as one functional website interconnected with webhooks.One issue I have encountered was authentication of user. When I use only workspace/gallery apps, I can setup “require authentication” for each app and user has to login only one time (using FME login page that allows AD). When it comes to the custom-built app, user has to login again, but this time with browser default login page which does not support AD.Would it be possible to build “require authentication” option for webhooks, in a same way that is done for server/gallery apps? This would allow us to build websites powered by FME Server (which are combination of workspace/gallery and custom-built apps) that require only one authentication. Or alternatively, it would be great if webhooks could be authenticated with AD on its own.
Security restrictions on our current AWS environment imposed by IT mean it is increasingly tricky to get connections to FME Cloud. If we can use SSH Tunnelling that would be a great help. Deploying a custom format plugin currently requires access to the installation directory, namely subdirectories: formatsinfo, metafile, schema and plugins.Perhaps make these subfolders accessible via the admin console, or have a parallel directory/directories within the Resources/engine/plugins folder that can be read on startup.
The SchemaScanner is a very useful tool in dynamic workflows. However if dynamically creating an output dataset from an attribute [ex. FeatureWriter Dataset:@Value(_outputfilename)] the <Schema> feature from the SchemaScanner does not contain this attribute and the writer fails because it can't find the schema.No definition found for input feature type '...In most transformers, attributes included in the group-by parameter are propagated onto the output feature. If this were the case with the schemaScanner, then the required attributes can be included in the group-by and the dynamic writer would work as expected. No additional transformer required.As it is, a FeatureMerger or equivalent is required to attach the desired attribute(s) onto the schema feature(s), which adds extra overhead to the transformation, and can cause issues with the schema features arriving first. To account for that a featureHolder needs to be placed on the Output data stream

It would be nice if the metrics api in fme server had the fme server job queue time in seconds. e.g:fme_queue_time_total 300The queue time could also be broken down further by server queue:fme_queue_time {queue="LargeBatchJobs"} 300 fme_queue_time {queue="boundaryqa"} 0 fme_queue_time {queue="default"} 0After there are no jobs in the queue, this value would be set back to 0. What problem would this solve?This would allow users to take actions if the queue time on fme server gets too large. For example, if the queue time exceeds, 500 seconds, I could use that as a trigger to add additional dynamic engines or even turn on another server which has an fme engine installed on it to help process these jobs faster. Is it possible to create a favorites list for Coordinate Systems? This makes that you don't have to scroll the whole list every time in order to find/select the system you work in often. Works great for me in ArcGIS.
It would be nice if you could use the FME Server Web UI to also test a topic containing a JSON array, like:{"name":"John","age":30,"cars":["Ford", "BMW", "Fiat"]}.Currently an error is returned:Unexpected value "["Ford","BMW","Fiat"]" for message "cars," expected scalar.The workaround now is to use FME Desktop with a FMEServerNotifier.

Hello all,The ESRI ArcGIS Portal API for featureservices supports query-ing a specific HistoricMoment (see the HistoricMoment parameter in the documentation) of course when History is enabled in the service.Currently the Portal reader does support Branch versioning, but not this HistoricMoment capabilities.To me it would be a great upgrade to the reader. The ArcGIS SDE reader has had this for decades, and as this is fading out of use in favor of the new service based architecture of ESRI products, the need arises more and more in my workflows.I've been able to pull it of with a custom transformer consisting of a motherload of HTTPCallers and JSON related transformers. That also solves my disable SSL verification problem, but is not as elegant and maintainable as a proper Safe supported native reader.

Support for batch geocoding points with ArcGIS GeocodingServer as it greatly reduces run time. Was able to run almost 100,000 points in 20 minutes in ArcGIS (which natively batches) vs like 2 hours in FME which doesn't batch.
Automatic license borrowing for a short time, eg. a couple of hour would save the frustration when network connection/VPN intermittently becomes unavailable and not being able to work.The current license borrowing requires active involvement of borrowing the license and pass it back.There are other software also based on flexlm which borrows the license by default and automatically checks it back in when the client closes normally. If the communication is not restored, the borrowing expires after a short time, so the license is available again.
Currently multiple feature service writers are required one for each insert, update and delete operation. Enhancing the existing feature service writer to use the fme_db_operation that is used by other writer would simply these processes.

When you right-click a tranformer,reader or writer you have the option to rename it. I'would like to rename multiple items at once to give them a prefix or something like that.
Please consider adding support for the new capability of QGIS (3.26+) for using domains in geopackages. See Changelog for QGIS 3.26 for more information. This would bring the handling of domains in geopackages on equal footing with domains in ESRI file geodatabases.
At the moment there is no good way to convert HTML files to PDF in combination with FME Cloud/Server. The standard PDF-options in FME are limited. Especially when styling is important, the PDFPageformatter does not provide enough options. Luckily Safe created the transformer HTML2PDFConvertor several years ago. But this transformer has a big disadvantage: it requires the installation of the wkhtmltopdf.exe. This is not possible using FME cloud. So it would be great if this tool can be integrated in FME.
