FME Flow

Hi All, im having the issue of my ArcGIS readers and writers on my FME server (cloud 2021) expiring after a couple of weeks and needing manual re authentication. What is the suggested work flow to automate authentication in FME Server to AGOL? I have read all the forum posts about expiring tokens, watched a range of youtube videos, added client IDs, client secrets and FME server redirects but no luck, i have tried the FME desktop - Arcgis_Token_Getter Transformer. i can get a token but not sure where to put it....  My requirements are - From FME server 2021 read or write a ESRI arcgis online feature service and not to have to manually re-authenticate every two weeks? All my Desktop workspaces work fine (because I'm manually authenticating when I add the AGOL reader or writer) once I publish the workspace to server I have to wait 2 weeks to 'test' if it fails when the token expires so it takes me two weeks it iterate over my failure...  Does anyone have a workflow they co

Apparently since fixing this problem https://support.safe.com/hc/en-us/articles/25407612007949-Known-Issue-FME-Flow-Apache-Tomcat-Vulnerability-with-X-Frame-Options-headerIn FME Flow 2025.1, embedding FME Flow content to other pages is disabled entirely by default.  Is there any chance to allow embedding from known sources or is embedding considered so risky that this would not be even considered? 

If you have an existing automation and need to make a change, you make your changes and publish \\ overwrite in FME Forms. Once you go to the automation and stop it, all parameters are reset to defaults. This happens even to workspaces that were not updated. This has happened the last 2 or 3 releases, currently we are onFME Flow 2023.1Build 23619 - win64

Hi, I am using an FME Server app in which a theHTTPCaller is used to call on a second FME Server workspace. Here are some of the tags used in the URL (opt_showresult=true&opt_servicemode=sync&opt_responseformat=json)Long translations fail and return a HTTP 504 (HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Time-out) even with the connection timeout lenght and transfer timeout lenght set to 0 Is there a way to avoid these timeouts? I suspect that it has to do with the FME Cloud settings, anybody can shed some light on the subject? Cheers,Itay

Hi I’m currently trying to acces the documentation of the API I'm making using data virtualization. The Swagger documentation page loads, but it seems to fail to get the correct server on which I have made the API. Due to this I can’t test any of the API calls. I use the ArcGISOnlineConnector (3.10) on FME 2024.2.1.0On FME Form everythings works perfect. Goodmorning!  I have an FME Flow workspace app, and it won't run. It has worked for about a week, and after that it stopped working. The problem is, according to the logs, the AttributeFileWriter. It just says, rejected, nothing more. We believe its the string we use to dynamically choose the output location of the photo's. See attached picture. This is the string: $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/@Value(Jaar)\@Value(IncidentNummer) @Value(Dag)-@Value(Maand)-@Value(Jaar) @Value(Plaatsnaam)\@Value(IncidentBijlageId).jpgThe strings works just fine in FME Form, but, not anymore on FME Flow. This string has worked before on Flow, but stopped working for some reason. We did look into it, but could not find a solution to this. Can anyone explain this? Thank you!  

I would like to add the following folder, named "moi”, to my top level resource folders, and add it to the list in the picture below. I couldnt find that much information about it online, and i tried something, but it didnt work. I located the folder in the FME Flow program files, and added the folder, but that didnt work. It doesnt show up in the top level resources list, Does anyone know if it is possible to do this? And how?  Thanks in advance!  

Hello,I have experienced unexplainable behaviour in an automation in FME Flow 2023 that had originally been created in FME Server 2021 after making some modifications. Problem:One of the workspace output paths has always contained a <space> and always has been wrapped in double quotes. With recent modifications (see context), the automation suddenly began splitting the output path on the space and treating it as a relative path - outputting to ./repositories/<right half of path>.In addition to this, published parameters were no longer automatically refreshing on republishing of the workbench. Context:As mentioned, the automation had originally been created in v2021 and since the upgrade had been provided with the upgraded 2023 versions of the workbenches - which has been running smoothly. I’m working through the Create a Manual Endpoint in Data Virtualization – FME Support Center however when it comes to the Make a Request from the Documentation section and clicking the ‘try it out’ button in the Swagger page, I get the following 401 response:Is this related to the time which the error lists as 15:48 GMT, however we’re on BST in the UK at the moment so it’s actually 16:48?  If so, how can I resolve it? Otherwise is it a simple authentication issue? - the tutorial says “the EnvionData API is authenticated by default” so I’m a little confused by this.

Hi,Our department currently uses 2025.1.1 version of Flow.Is there a way in FME Flow to identify the database/web connections used by workspaces/workflows without the need to go into automations or schedules to identify them manually? Ideally, it would be great if can create a dashboard that lists all workflows (across all workspaces) along with the database connections they use. The reason for this request is that multiple offices within our department use FME Flow and have uploaded their own workflows. As a result, we’ve discovered that duplicate database connections have been created by these different teams.Currently, I have to manually inspect each automation or schedule to identify the workflows and their associated connections. A centralized dashboard would greatly simplify this process and help us enforce standards by identifying and eliminating duplicate database connections.Any help or ideas is much appreciated!Thank you,LS.

Hi, I’m trying to create a project that contains an automation in which a workspace is using a wildcard in a filepath. The filepath looks something like this: SHAREDRESOURCES/DATA/FOLDER/**/*.csvFme Flow does not seem to like the wildcard in the filepath as I am guessing it wants to have a proper file to take in the dependencies and add to the project. I could manually just choose a dummy file to be able to make the project work but that would mean I would manually have to change the filepath later and I would like to do as little manual steps as possible. Is there any way around it? Can I maybe exclude specific dependencies somehow?

Hello everyone,unfortunately i do have a “problem” with a workspace-app. The workspace-app has an upload-field where you can also click “Browse Resources”. Clicking on that opens a windows with two tabs (default as i understand it). One “Resources” and one “Temporary Uploads”.The goal is to configure it in a way that the “Resources” tab is not available/visible.I checked out this question here Enabling "Resource" tab in workspace application. | Community. However, not granting any permissions in the “Resources” area of the API-token  for this app does not solve it.Basically doing the opposite of the anser given in the linked question,Are there any other configuration parameters i overlooked? Edit:it might be worth mentioning that the app as permissions for:the repository in which the workspace lives Job submitter and data upload services one web connection FME Flow Version is 2025.1.2 but with 2025.1.0.1 the same behavior was observedThanks for your help!  

I have a Flow/Server running, where users access it via SAML authentication. Each user is then assigned to a role with appropriate permissions for a team user belongs to.While users have fmeauthor permissions on Test environment, we have a requirement that users can get read only access on Prod env. With this jobs are run by a system account on the Prod. The challenge here is to find a way to let users be able to view "their" job logs, review configuration or perhaps validate generated data in FME_SHARED_RESOURCE_DIR . Is there a way to configure role in a way so a user can view all jobs, job logs, automations, resources, etc.? For example: speaking about jobs - from what I can see I can either grant Jobs/Access permission (so user can see jobs ran by the user only) or Jobs/Manage (which grants too wide permissions for read only access). Version: FME Server 2022.2.4, Build 22792 - linux-x64

Hi All,I currently have an Email trigger setup in flow however I’m running into the issue where the source email has the same Email Subject for all of its emails. I am currently receiving 2 scheduled emails from the source system which will come through daily in 2 separate emails with different attachments. e.g. Top 20 Regions.xlsx, Daily Occupancy.xlsxI have the download attachments moving to a Folder in Resources.Following the trigger, I have a workspace running however if I use “Source Microsoft Excel File” “email attachment” I have no control over which attachment is occurring due to the above.  Any assistance would be very helpfulThanksDave 

I have a workbench that was written in Form 2024.1 that takes data from a file geodatabase, runs a bunch of tests on it, and eventually writes to two Portal feature services. I published the workbench to Form 2024.1 and it worked without issue. When we upgraded to Flow 2025.1, the process stopped working, erroring with “ArcGIS Portal Feature Service Writer: 'addResults' error for a feature in '<feature service name>'. The error code from the server was '10500' and the message was: 'None'”. The workbench still runs successfully in Form 2025.1 with no changes to the data.The Portal writer is set to Use Existing and Insert and Truncate Existing. From other Community posts, it looks like the error I get is usually associated with a schema change, but there hasn’t been one here. Did something else change? We are running Portal 11.3. 

Hello  I have a simple workbench that should export data from and ArcSDE Geodatabase to a local File Geodatabase. I have 2 readers, 1 for a point feature and one for a polyline feature. After the reader I only have a datetime Stamper and an Attribute Manager. These features should be written to a local file geodatabase, so both features in the same file geodatabase. The goal is to run this automated every day, so I used “Fanout Expression” with “Export_@Value(timestamp).gdb” so the exported file geodatabase has the date in the name. If I run this script in FME Workbench it works perfectly fine and I have the 2 features in the same local geodatabase. I uploaded this exact script into FME Flow, configured the connection to the ArcSDE Geodatabase and the desitnation file geodatabase. But now if I run in in FME Flow only the point features get written correctly into the file geodata base, the polyline features not. But there is also no error so I have no idea why.  Im a noob so im sure the

Is it possible to retrieve the published parameters set against a workspace within an automation, via the Rest API (v4) or another way?I’ve had a quick look at the FME Flow REST API V4 endpoints but cannot see anything obvious. 

Hello everyone — I’m struggling with the Mapnick rasterizer and would really appreciate some help. I’m using the Mapnick Rasterizer and need to render labels with the Noto Sans Condensed font;I’m attaching screenshots that illustrate the problem: Mapnick outputs configured to use: Noto Sans, Noto Sans Bold, Noto Sans Condensed, Noto Sans Condensed Bold.  Mapnick open showing the four font settings for each situation.The result, showing that Noto Sans applies Bold, but Noto Sans Cond does not apply Bold.Noto Sans font configuration — but the Mapnick Rasterizer, although it shows Condensed + Bold in the font styles, does not accept selecting it and always reverts to only Bold.Finally, comparing this image with a label in QGIS — both using Noto Sans Condensed at size 30 — the fonts do not appear to be the same.I need to use Noto Sans with various styles — almost all Condensed, some italic, some bold — but I can’t apply all the styles in Mapnick and the Noto Sans Condensed rendered there d

I have an FME workspace currently published on our development FME Flow instance. I am now going to deploy it to production FME Flow. The problem is this workspace comes with three FME Flow apps. Is there a smart way to transfer the apps to a new FME Flow? Thank you :)
