How do I prevent FME from correcting my gml data in the reader?

I have made a workspace which is used to map geometric errors. My data is stored in the gml-format.In my workspace I have a FeatureReader, which reads GML data. Issues in my source data can be among other things:Consecutive vertices in lines or polygonsToo many coordinates in my point elementsNon-closing polygons (last vertex isn’t the same as the starting vertex)The problem I have with my gml FeatureReader is that these errors are fixed automatically by FME. The consecutive points are removed, the last coordinate of my point element is used and my polygon is closed automatically by adding the first vertex as last coordinate. This is convenient when I want to work with the data without hassle, but in this case I want to know what those issues are so I can correct my source data or report errors.Is there any way to show the errors corrected by the FME reader or prevent the reader by doing so?

Changes to Python paths in 2019 (and 2020) ?

Hi list.I've avoided the 2019 version due to multiple issues. So this is a bit late, I know.But now I tried to run a workspace I made in 2018 in 2019 (and 2020 beta), and both failed to run my custom transformer, giving an error about not being able to locate its components.All my custom transformers are located in a shared location using the "Shared FME Folders" feature. This worked fine in 2018 and previously.Only when I specifically added the path to the shared Transformers sub folder to my FME_PYTHON_PATH, did 2019 it find it. But then what's the point of having an official "Shared FME Folders" installation ?Was the "Shared FME Folders" functionality changed in 2019+ ?Cheers

Can the WLAS reader be used to create a dynamic schema?

I am currently attempting to use the las file reader in FME 2019 on multiple files. Unfortunately, the files are not all the same schema. So, I was wondering if it was possible to read these into a dynamic schema? I have attempted to create a dynamic workspace with the reader and when attempting to choose the feature types to read the following error is received: "SOURCE_READER statement must be of the form 'SOURCE_READER <reader type> [<parm> <value>]*' -- `SOURCE_READER WLAS SCHEMA_MODE FEATURE_SCAN -_ENCODING' is invalid : Row came from between lines 1 and 7 of file C:\\Program Files\\FME\\metafile\\WLAS.fmf Failed to read schema features from dataset <path> using the 'wlas' reader"

MS Access app converting to web app

I have a distributed MS Access app with linked tables that has grown to big and has too many users. We need to re-write into a web app. There are many tables, queries, forms, reports etc. so I expect this will not be a quick process. I'm interested in any advice offered on this undertaking. As a first step, we are moving the DB to SQL Server. The reports will be converted to a standard reporting technology like Business Objects or Tableau using the SQL Server. We'll use Python or Java for backend DB connectivity. I'm hoping there is an easy way to convert the UI into HTML pages. Several pages in the Access app consist of forms with drop down list boxes, radio buttons, check boxes, etc. Any advice?

Build attributes from a list generated by 12D reader

Trying to use the long-awaited 12D Reader but the resulting lists are overwhelming. Basically, there are pairs of attribute names and values scattered across lists of various depth and ideally regular attributes with values could be constructed. The attribution in 12D and the resulting lists are bound to different levels of a 12D model. Some attributes belong to the whole model, some to geometries and some to individual vertices. Hence the extensive lists.Vertex attribution: The best I managed is a sequence of List Exploders to get to the last position of a list and then build the attributes using ListKeyValuePairExtractor - This custom transformer seems to struggle with the long nested lists; works fine with pairs on one level. It ends up with duplicated geometries for each list pair but it could be flattened by Feature merger and Matcher.Using this approach I need to inspect the lists manually and identify on what level of a list particular pairs are.Any idea how can this be achieved

how to split lines at certain point at intersection

Hello Guys ,i want to split ths two lines that intersected in point, i have coordinates for each x maximum and x min. and y max. and y min , i know,one of them is xmax and the another should be in this case minimum one also is ymax and another should be ymini used topology builder static to make group network id and it did correctly but this two lines i do not want to be in the same group so i used clipper points as input and lines as clippe but i found it did nothing .bcs i used after that zopology builder static and it consider both of them in the same group and i want to give each one new network id so is it possible , to make topology builder static with condition that create network id for all lines except the when it occurs value of x max equal value of x min ,value of y max equal y min .do we have conditional to write it for topology builder . or could i use clipper to split two lines when x min value and x max are equal y min is equal with x min .

How to limit attributes read by FeatureReader

I am trying to limit the attributes read by the FeatureReader. The data I want to read are coming either from an Oracle or PostGIS database. Of course I can use the WHERE clause to limit the features based on limiting values, but I do not need all the columns the data table holds. I there a way to do this inside the FeatureReader? Currently, I am using an AttributeManager after my featureReader to remove columns not needed, but that's a waste of ressources and more important, time.

SQL CREATOR, JIRA API and HTTP CALLER

I have a Maria DB and a JIRA platform, I would like to use the DB to create new issues there through the JIRA API, how can I integrate all of them? I have already made the regular CRUD operations to the JIRA platform through the API using the HTTP Caller, but, how can I properly use the SQL Creator to use that data?

Could I ask ,How could I look up in field names in Attribute A in oracle no spatial and extract the row of these field names that what am i looking for.I would like to compare between Excel file as reader and oracle non spatial reader and if some field names in Attributes A is missing in excel file so I would like to extract the missing from oracle non spatial And another case ,compare between excel file and oracle no spatial If It finds one field name in excel file is extra sure so I want to look also for this field Name in oracle and extract the row that include this field But I want to say ,excel file and oracle non spatial have one common attribute and the rest of attributes are totally different but I would like to search for this field name and extract the row that relates to this field and put new data in another sheet has the same attributes as oracle..FME version 2018

Extract attribute mapping from old FME workbench

We have a FME workbench where CSV input is being translated to Shapefiles. This workbench has manually created mapping of attributes e.g. Nominal_Diameter on input and NOM_DIAM on output.Due to some issues with the old workbench I'm trying to re-create the process. And for that I need the attribute name mapping. But I don't want to do it manually as it will take a considerate amount of time.Is there a way how to extract this information from the workbench? E.g. as a text:feature, original attribute name, new attribute nameThanks, Jan

MSWordStyler create corect Justify aligned paragraph

I want to create Justify aligned Paragraphs in a docx file. I created a custom Heading with Justify alignment in a seed file and input the text via a MSWordStyler transformer with Content Type: Heading and Heading Level: Heading X. but I can't get the text to display correctly. It always spreads the last line. I even tried to use CR and LF in the Text Editor.The text outputs like this:I would like the text to diplay like this:Transformer setings: Any ideas on how I should configure this to display correctly?

OAuth 2.0 407 Proxy Authentication Required

Hi FME'ers,I am having trouble authenticating any OAuth 2.0 web connections with FME Desktop 2018.1 (Build 18528). I am trying to access ArcGIS Online but this problem occurs with any OAuth 2 service. I understand that the issue is with my organisations proxy/firewall but I am trying to diagnose precisely where the failure is occurring. FYI, We use a pac file proxy.In Options > Network Proxy, I have 'Use system proxy settings' checked. I know I can get access to the internet with this setting because I have access to FME Hub and can use HTTPCaller. In Web Connection > Manage Services, I select the new connection I created for AGOL and click Test. The credentials screen appears so I enter my credentials and click Sign In. I then get a Network Error dialog box saying "Failed to obtain refresh token: Error retrieving access token. Check Log Window for more details." In the log file I get the message: "407 Proxy Authentication Required" followed my a w

How do I make FBX files from LAS files (with RGB values)?

I have a folder with 92 LAS files, see screenshot with example of one LAS file: .Which transformers and non-default settings are required to make these files into one or more FBX files? A direct reader/writer translation results in an empty FBX file.Any help/suggestions/examples is much appreciated!

Converting & Combining Shape .shp file into AutoCAD .dwg file

I have a point vector shape file that consists of the vertices of a number of lines. The data looks kind of like this: (extremely simplified values, but the same format)Feature NumberVertex NumberxyzLayer00101315Main Cable01121420Main Cable 10345Secondary Cable11478Secondary Cable125710Secondary Cable What I want is to create lines that consist of x, y and z values using the feature number as the grouping attribute, ie. All points that have a matching feature number would create a single line, with the vertices starting from lowest to highest. I have tried using CAD, FME and Excel but have had no success. How could I look for name in excel styler for csv file

I have around 100 cells that located in third attribute (machine ) and I want to change the back ground for cells that has specific name old to blue color,i converted the excel file to csv then write again to excel file in my workspace so If i want to look for names in csv ,so my question does excelstyler has another methid not as excel to look for names in csv file.I tried a lot by excel styler but it does not give me result .and also I want to select input for excel styler as row bcs I found it has only option for attributes ,for column but I want to work on rows to alignment line for each specific row ,FME version 2018.Thanks

Dynamic attributes. Create attribute for every month for a year and then calculate values.

Difficult to word this one. I need to generate a table where attributes are generated dynamically e.g.NameFeb-20Mar-20Apr-20 Where the attributes reflect every month from "now" for a set period e.g. a year. I have created a workbench which generates the month-year as attribute values dynamically and then creating Attribute names from these values. However, I can't seem to find a way of exposing these attributes dynamically so that I can then assign values to them. (Currently I have to export them and then reimport them within the attribute exposer). Is there anyway of doing this in a more streamlined fashion?

find intersection between lines and areas

i have many lines with diferent id and also Lines with many segments connected together between two area and i have 5 area with different id and different lines intersected with the same area and another lines intersected with another area and so on .some and i have the coordinate of points x,y that refer to the location of point intersected lines with in area ,i want to get the name of area that intersected with diff. lines ,and which lines intersected with this area and and i want to get also when line intersected not only with one ,may be 2 area so i want to know the id of this line and the name of two area that it intersected with . FME 2018 Does spatial relator the transformer that i want or which transformers should i use,i am new in map and iam new in work on map and i am still reading and learning about transformers
