I may be missing it, but I do not see a way to assign a job queue to a FME Server workspace app, is this supported ?

CSV with Geometry from Oracle to Geodatabase.

I have a CSV export from ORACLE with geometry in a format like POINT (-81.00893 33.9717480555556), POLYGON ((-84.1769359565167 34.0427328929524, -84.1767072908479 34.0427328929618, -84.1767072908479 34.0430401524308, -84.1769359565167 34.0430401524308) etc. I cannot figure out how to extract the geometry and create layers in a geodatabase. I tried a few ideas with GeometryExtractor, GeometryReplacer, etc but I haven't had any luck. I attached the CSV for reference.

Any idea why SurfaceModeller is not working with this dataset?

Hello anyone willing to help,I have hundreds of similar datasets consisting of up to 10.000 3D points. All of the datasets are created in the same way, they are result of previous calculation. Most of the datasets are perfectly transformable by SurfaceModeller, but some of them just stuck the SurfaceModeller and it never finishes.I distilled out one troublemaker and saved it for investigation. Automation to email Survey123 submissions including image attachments

We are trying to use FME Server/Desktop to achieve the following:1. Intercept Survey123 submissions using webhooks - this works well.2. Conditionally send an email containing submitted data - this works as well.3. Include any photos attached to the survey submission - this part we can't get to work. Most submissions do not include photos. We are novices with FME.Surely someone has had this requirement before. If so, can you please share your solution?

URL encoding for ArcGIS Online Feature Service

I am trying to publish a file geodatabase to an ArcGIS Online Feature Service that has several attributes with URLs.  One attribute that has just the URL (e.g. https://safe.com) and it works fine and is a clickable link in the AGOL popup window.  Another attribute has several URLs with a linked name and using formatting like: <a href="https://safe.com/page.aspx?ID=1">Link 1</a>; <a href="https://safe.com/page.aspx?ID=2">Link 2</a>; If I publish like this, I get a code 400 failure message. I believe the ArcGIS API is looking for an encoded URL so I tried the TextEncoder transformer and that will let me publish but the attribute shows up as text, not a clickable link. I tried several of the encoding types: HTML, URL (percent encoding), and XML but AGOL shows them all as just a text string. How do I make these clickable links? I should also note that if I simply upload my GDB in the AGOL interface it works fine without the encoding (the link names are displayed and

How to optimise PostGIS DB Reader performance, currently I run out of memory.

Another learning FME question: I have a postGIS table with 1.6million records. I have 264 features from a lot of post process from another dataset. Each 264 features have been split to 4 extent coordinates. I need to understand the nearest neighbouring shape from the 1.6 million record PostGIS database (single table) for each 4 coordinates.  This means that FME Desktop attempts to cache the 1.6 million PostGIS records so it can then complete the nearest neighbour checks. I get 25% of the way through before I run out of memory and to be perfectly honest, I am slightly impressed my dinky laptop got this far. How would I go about changing this flow to increase performance?  Many thanks

ZipArchiver fails - unicode not defined

Hi,I am using both Desktop and Server and occasionally get issues with the ZipArchiver failing. I have attached a log file where you can see it at the end.Python Exception <NameError>: name 'unicode' is not definedPython is not my forte! Does anybody know what causes this?Many thanks,Glenn

Excel writer causing my workbench to restart

Hi,I have a very strange error that seemingly has started from nowhere. Part of a much larger process I have been running for years is causing me problems I cannot seem to resolve. I have narrowed it down to an xlsx FeatureWriter. Whenever it gets to that part of a large workbench it causes it to restart on FME Server. So it's hard to log the issue and find out why. It doesn't happen locally, just on Server. Has anybody else had this issue, or knows what might be causing it? Thanks

Active Directory passwords

We are getting ready to start using AD authentication with FME Server, so when a user changes their AD password, do they need to manually update it in the FME Server connection, or does that synch somehow with Active Directory ?

Why does my Augmented Reality model follow me like dog?

A couple of weeks ago, Fredrik Johnsson from Varberg Municipality in Sweden, asked me a question: "Why does my model follow me like a dog?". After we fixed stability problem in the latest version of FME AR app, models usually sit on their location quite well, but his model followed him wherever he walked. You may encounter this behavior, too. So, what is really going on?

Is it possible to have the fmejobsubmitter return no body?

How to make new attributes by merging 2 attributes by using shared ID-number (parent and child)

Hi there. Iam trying to do a workspace to combine values/attributes from two different lists/objects. Idea is that there is always 1 parent ”object” and 1-x child ”object(s)” under the parent ”object”. The software that i am using to make these objects gives a unique identifier number for the parent object, for example ABC1. Software also gives a unique identifier number for child object by using the parent identifier + adding a letter after that, for example ABC1_A, ABC1_B and so on. The problem that i havent solved is how to combine and make new attributes by comparing parent and child object indentifiers. If the child object shares the main part (ABC1) of the identifier number it should have get the values from the parent and merge them with the child attributes/values. So, for example child objects ABC1_A, ABC1_B, ABC1_C, ABC1_D all gets attributes/values from parent object by shared parent id ABC1. New, combined attributes has values from parent objects and child objects. I hope t

How can autocad_anno_handle be created and associated between mtext and leader

I am trying to create mtext leaders and I am trying to follow the documentation which has these attributes and I have tried to create text adder at last point on leader line and then write a unique annotation handle to autocad on both leader line and text but the entities are not associated when I open in autocad.Can I not create text in a leader?

Why can a workspace started in automation not find a path

Why can a workspace started in automation not find a path, when the workspace itself run by hand works fine. I have a workspace that is working fine and runs data from a certain path as shown. So the reader is configured correctly.And when starting the workflow the file path is correct.Now when the same workspace is triggered by the automation flow it can't find the file anymore, because a backslash has been dropped from the path?And this continues for all the readers?How is this possible? I tried to change the monitored path of the automation flow but the end result is the same? The path is highlighted in yellow, and after this a backslash should be present but now it inserts the filename directly. When I open the workspace mentioned in the automation, the path is the one with thhe missing backslash at the end of the path name.When I repelace all the entrys here with the correct path with backslash it is working. So when changing a workspace, should you remove all workspaces in a

Why the ZipExtractor transformer does not work with user parameters?

I have used the Hub's ZipExtractor transformer for a while, but just found out it does not take user parameters (published or private) as input. The literal values of "Source Zip File" and "Destination Root Folder" will work fine, but using user parameters for either of them will give error "Specified zip file or destination root folder is invalid." I am using FME Desktop 2019.2.1.

from 1 excel template to multiple sheets

Hi!I would like to duplicate my template (excel) to create multiple sheets based on an attribute on my datas. For example, when my attribute = sheetA, all the datas concerned go to named ranges on the sheetA. At the end I have one file with multiple sheets. But I saw this sentence :https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_ReadersWriters/xlsx/XLSX_writer.htm"Named ranges that exist on the template sheet are not duplicated." So I thought to use feature writer to write each sheet independantly with the same name sheet and then use feature reader + writer to group all the files in one and rename the sheet with the good value.This solution is a problem for me because I would like to delete the intermediates files automatically but FME can't do that. I'm not used to write on excel so it became a little complicated for me. Can you help me? Thanks!

Group text located near each other.

I have a floor plan in AutoCAD. I care about two layers (Room_No and Room_Name). In Room_Name, names that span more than one line (usually word) are different features in the same layer. For example Exam Room will be two different items on the layer. I need to group these two items (words) so I can eventually concatenate them to be Exam Room. Based on my experience scraping data from other sources says to group them by their location using x and y coordinates. I can then do the same thing to add in number from the Roon_No layer. What is the right transformer to use for this? I've tried neighborhood aggregator but it output a list of coordinates based on the text value and not the other way around.

I have a contour dataset, which I want to clip into tiles. The contours and tiles are both in shapefile format, GDA2020 datum (Zone 55)Half of the output shapefiles are okay, but half have no geometry.
